Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Morning brokers,

loopy I am very sorry to hear you have been bleeding, such a worry.
I have had this go both ways sadly, I had a lot of bleeding with my dd and was convinced I had lost another one but all was well. It has also meant the end for me in other pregnancies but I really hope this is not the case for you. Can you go and have a scan? You are about 6 weeks I think so something should be visible? Don't feel guilty about wanting more children. Hugs.
If this does end up as a MC, you have had 3 and you should have this investigated :(

emma welcome, sounds like you smacked the rat at exactly the right time to me! You really want 1/2 days before ovulation apparently.

Hestia that looks like a good line to me!!

I have had my follow up appointment at the clinic (ARGC) , they suggested we try a lower dose cycle to try and protect the quality of the eggs this time but I am thinking of getting a 2nd opinion at The Lister just to see if they would do anything differently protocol wise. In the meantime I am obviously going to get naturally diffed before then!

Just had our consultation - OMG am going to start downregging on 24 Jan!! Did wonder whether it would be better to start after our holiday, but figured that we might as well crack on with it - I don't expect the first one to work so the sooner we start the sooner we can crack on with subsequent attempts.

EC will likely be w/c 23 Feb....that's only 6 weeks away! Annoyingly I have two work seminars to give on 24 and 25 Feb - I really really hope that I don't have to cancel those.

Consultant seemed v worried about sperm quality and its ability to fertilise the eggs so we'll just have to brook no argument on that front I think.

All in all a successful morning - even if Mr I did spill a cup of tea all over the consultant's desk Grin

Imps9 · 16/01/2015 09:17

Morning Far! When are they looking to start your next round? Good idea to get second opinion - how do you go about doing that? Can you request your file and take it along to a one-off appointment with a consultant there? Or do you have to sign up as a patient there?

emma85x · 16/01/2015 10:00

Help! I'm 4 dpo, I've just been to the loo and there's some blood. Just started. Had cramps for a couple of days now. Has anyone else had this? I have to go and teach in a minute and really don't want to!!! xxxxx xxxxx

farfallarocks · 16/01/2015 10:23

emma that is a great sign, implantation!!!
I have had it with every pregnancy :)

imps amazeballs, whoop whoop! We are brooking no argument re. Mr Imps sperm,. he managed to fertilise an egg with no help at all so I am sure with ICSI it will be fine.

Yes I just asked to see a consultant at a different clinic and took all my tests with me, they of course try and get you to sign up with them, but I made it clear I wanted some time to think abtou it all!

emma85x · 16/01/2015 12:22

Oh I really hope so! How soon can I test?! So new to all this!

keepitgoing · 16/01/2015 14:18

Emma at least a week! did you recently come off the pill or have you had regular periods?

imps that's great Grin don't worry about the seminars, you can't really tell how long DR or stimming will take. I think pretty much any sperm will be sufficient for icsi

far you are brilliantly ironic to get a second opinion as you'll get diffed on your own and have two to cancel Smile

Imps9 · 16/01/2015 15:56

Agree re waiting at least a week before testing Emma - even the most sensitive tests will tell you nothing useful before day 10! Brooking no argument that it is implantation and that you are an instadiffer.

Do you think it was the right decision to start dr on holiday? I can't see why it wouldn't be - I guess am just worried about holiday being ruined in hindsight in likely scenario that this round doesn't work and I've abstained from booze, unhealthyness and unprotected shagging for a 2 week holiday for no particular reason. That said, if I do suffer from side effects, it will be much easier to cope with on holiday than in the office.

emma85x · 16/01/2015 16:14

Thanks will be patient!! It's a very light bleed. Sorry to ask but what's instadiffer?! Hmm Happy Friday everyone!!!! Grin

cartoontrickster · 16/01/2015 16:38

cartoontrickster · 16/01/2015 18:42

emma85x · 16/01/2015 19:14

Thinking of you too Loopy. Xxx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/01/2015 20:31

Just a quick post lovely brookers. Sorry I haven't been around much.

Hope you're ok Loopy, as Imps said, I bled everyday for 12 weeks. Hang on in there x

Hello to newbies!!

Sounding positive Far!

Imps, I started DRing the day if flew to italy for my bro's wedding. I did suffer badly with side effects, but I wouldn't have changed when I started. Are you on their standard long protocol? So DRing for 3 weeks ish? If they are like Bourn hall Colchester, egg collection is nearly always a Wednesday. They tend not to deviate from it, so I'd bear that in mind. But I don't know if your clinic is open on the weekend, which will make a difference. Feeling really positive for you lovely. I went totally against the rules and had a few drinks actually, my consultant said a few drinks were fine

keepitgoing · 17/01/2015 09:51

imps I think you should shag while Dr. you can still get pg and a friend did... Wink

Pastamancer · 17/01/2015 13:12

I read that as telling Imps to shag her Doctor... Blush

Imps9 · 17/01/2015 14:42

Well he was okay looking I guess Pasta, but that may be taking the concept if assisted conception too far...

Imps9 · 17/01/2015 19:07

Grin Grin Keep!! What was the scan for? Have I missed something?

keepitgoing · 18/01/2015 10:31

nothing exciting... just to see all is OK before proceeding to fet, post birth etc. it is Smile

Pastamancer · 18/01/2015 11:28

Glad to hear everything is as it should be Keep

Can somebody please take away my sickness? I am 33 weeks now and while the weightloss is nice, I am fed up of being sick. We are supposed to be going out for lunch with MIL and I haven't managed to eat anything yet as feeling sick.

Imps9 · 18/01/2015 11:34
