Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Ohh Green what's occurring with your sister? I do hope she's okay. Can we tempt you to stick around even if you're not going to have a third? It's always nice to see Brookers of old about - esp those who've had tricky times themselves as it's always a reminder to us Brookers who are still getting there to keep our eyes on the prize and we will get there eventually. March, to be precise, on Tripe Whammy Friday II.

farfallarocks · 12/01/2015 19:45

Well up for the quad whammy Wey hey!!!

Imps perhaps you could take a sabbatical if not Preggo in a year? Of course you will be at home with a newborn by then......

Thank you to imps9 for recommending this thread to me!

Hello all, I'm new to Mumsnet and new to TTC! It's our first month of trying we DTD -1 O, -2 O & -5 O. I'm now on the TWW! I'm new to all this and I was wondering how long it took you to conceive or how long you've been TTC. I'm 29, 35 day cycles and a size 16. Any comments much appreciated! Good luck to all! x

emma85x · 13/01/2015 17:50

Hubby was exhausted so couldn't DTD on day of ovulation :-(

Imps9 · 13/01/2015 18:20

Don't worry about that Emma - it's the days before ovulation which are usually the important ones and in any event, healthy sperm can live for a good few days in the fallopian tubes before that egg pops. Sounds like you nailed it to me!

Pastamancer · 13/01/2015 18:41

Welcome Emma. Becoming a Brooker increases your chances of conceiving, true fact. Just posting on this thread means you are pregnant, the trick is to find a pee stick that agrees. There are lots of faulty ones out there giving BFNs but we know better.

I'm one of those annoying instadiffers so will skew things somewhat by saying that I got pregnant first attempt each time. DC1 will be 3 in May and DC2 is due in March. I was 29 and a size 20 when I conceived DD so you will be fine

hestialou · 13/01/2015 18:50

Hello, am new and looking for someone with good eyes (very good eyes) to see if you can see the line or is it me. I've had nausea for past week and going crazy!!

W are jolly well going to get pregnant this month and we're brooking no argument - all rat smackers past, present and future welcome!
Imps9 · 13/01/2015 18:51

Indeed Emma - all Brookers (so called because we brook no argument about getting pregnant) become instantly pregnant the moment they start brooking. The search for a pee stick that confirms this fact is simply like Harry Potter's search for the perfect wand. It may take years, but eventually we will all of us find our chosen pee stick.

Far I keep meaning to ask - where are you having your IVF treatment?

Imps9 · 13/01/2015 18:51

Hestia - that, my friend, is a line. Congratulations :)

hestialou · 13/01/2015 18:57

Thanks imps, kept thinking was making the line up in head ??, good luck to everyone else waiting

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 13/01/2015 19:17

Not looking good here, went to the toilet at 4.30 and was some blood when I wiped. Have put a pad in and nothing on it, but have wiped countless times since then and blood every time, so it's not heavy like my past spontaneous miscarriage and not even as heavy as AF, but does seem to be still happening so feeling extremely negative right now. And no idea what to do as epau closed and midwife not answering and I called a number for the hospital for if you have bleeding and they don't deal with anyone under 20 weeks, and said to call A and E but it seems pointless to do that as it's not like I can go in, have a 2 and 4 year old in bed now and no one who can babysit and my husband won't be back from work for hours, so figure it might as well wait until morning? Had cramps on Monday and took a couple of paracetamol but then the cramps went so I hoped it was nothing, and didn't have any cramps today until after the first bit of blood, and am getting very mild cramps now, again not as bad as when AF here. So don't know if losing it is inevitable or whether there is any chance at all that it might be ok. In the boys pregnancies I didn't have any bleeding at all so feeling very negative now Sad

hestialou · 13/01/2015 19:22

Loopyaboutmy2boys
I went to the a&e and all they could do was try to reassure me all ok and come back when epu was open. Id say try and rest tonight and get a babysitter so can go first thing in morning, sending you hugs and good luck xx

Imps9 · 13/01/2015 19:27

Ohhhhh Loopy big supportive squeezes from me here. Blood doesn't mean it's all over, not by a very long shot indeed. Maybe bled everyday, Musical and Smegs had "proper" periods and Far bled in her pregnancy with DD too. Cramps are beyond normal for pregnancies too. Don't compare this to your boys' pregnancies - it's a pregnancy in its own right and no pregnancy sets a precedent.

My advice to you is really to sit tight and see what happens. Rest if you can my love and resist the temptation of wiping - you will make yourself sore I speak from experience.

How are your boobs?

Imps9 · 13/01/2015 22:57

How are you doing Loopy? Asleep I hope.

musicalmrs · 13/01/2015 23:31

Thinking of you Loopy. As the wonderful Imps says, bleeding is very common, but incredibly scary... have you tried phoning your doctor or similar? There should be some way to access early scans as a result of bleeding (my scans were at about 5w and 7w ).

emma85x · 14/01/2015 07:13

Thinking of you Loopy

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/01/2015 11:17

I phoned the EPAU this morning and she said at this early stage there is nothing they can do, and to just carry on unless I get an major pains, and that I should go to the scan regardless next Wednesday. Have continued bleeding overnight and I really can't see there being anything left inside by the time they do the scan. Was so hoping this bean was going to be a sticky one as I was having such strong symptoms this time round.

Imps9 · 14/01/2015 13:19

Has the sac passed though? If not, there is every chance it is still hanging on in there.

cartoontrickster · 14/01/2015 16:48

everything crossed for you loopy I hope it turns out to be nothing. olives, like imps said stick around to chat.
nice to see you

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/01/2015 17:47

Imps I don't think so but I can't be sure as have gone to the toilet a lot and suppose something could have fallen in without me noticing, not even sure what size to expect this early on. Bleeding has continued so really don't see how the scan will show anything good. Am now concerned about why it might be happening, had 2 children no issues with fertility and this will be the third miscarriage, wondering if the 2 cs's or even the ERPC have damaged me somehow, coupled with guilt for being greedy in wanting more than the 2 children I already have, but just really wanted another baby. I know I'm a bit older but I didn't have ds1 till 34 and ds2 was born a month before I turned 36 and I'm only 38 now so it's not like a long period of time has lapsed between the births and the miscarriages.

Imps9 · 14/01/2015 19:44

Ohhhhh Loopster I am sorry. The MCs could be anything - they will be able to investigate and advise. I read that the stats of having a successful pregnancy post-MC are better when conception takes place within 6 months of the MC. Not much consolation at the moment probably but you and Mr L are clearly v fertile so no reason why you can't keep trying.

Hope you're okay lovely - be kind to yourself tonight.

Imps9 · 14/01/2015 19:46

Oh and re: guilt and greed: don't waste your emotions on thoughts like that. Greed doesn't ever come into TTC. .

Imps9 · 14/01/2015 19:46

Hmmm that "Ever" was supposed to be italicised.

emma85x · 15/01/2015 21:30

Advice please lovelies! My Ovia app says that if it's a successful conception then Cm will be thick and white. Today is 3 dpo and it's watery. Concerned! I think my timing is right as I use Clearblue advanced digital ovulation tests..... Hmm

Imps9 · 15/01/2015 22:02

CM (or, as I prefer to call it, "pant snot") is, in my experience, an unpredictable beast. Usually mine dries up straight after ov and is practically non-existent until AF hits, but equally I've had the odd watery day between ov and AF too. Sometimes it's been thick and white, but not always and (if I remember correctly) it wasn't like that in the cycle when I did conceive (even though that later ended in a MC). In summary...you can tell jack shit from pant snot!

If it's still watery, is there a chance you haven't ov'd? Unless you're 100% sure that you have, I'd get shagging. Of course, the other alternative is that it's left over jizz, if you and OH have had a recent dalliance!
