Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Let those D listers get theirs out if the way and make way for a booking sneeze, which is clearly more important!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/09/2014 20:17

How you feeling now Imps?

Boo what's not to love about Essex boys Wink

Anymore movements Dino?

Yay for the monitoring cycle Far! One step closer.

How you feeling Pasta?

keepitgoing · 01/10/2014 13:05

where's that dinobaby??

far great that you are getting cracking with the monitoring cycle. here's to a well monitors FUFC Smile

DinoSnores · 01/10/2014 13:51

No sign of DinoBaby but now Claire Sweeney has beaten me to it as well.

far, good that this cycle can begin. One step closer to another brooking baby!

Imps9 · 01/10/2014 15:17

Awright me ol' muckers? Aaaaaaa's it goin'?

No Dinobaby yet then, hurrumph. Although I had no idea that any of those slebs were pregnant - thanks for bring me up to speed with the D-list sleb news!

All's well here thank you! Bleeding has stopped now which is good. Mr Imps had an appointment with a chinese herbal medicine specialist yesterday which sounded perfect for him - I think he really appreciated the opportunity to talk to someone independent in detail and openly about his swimmers, the miscarriage, concerns about IVF etc. It sounded really interesting too - the lady took his pulse twice using 6 fingers each time and established from this that Mr Imps is someone who gets extremely anxious about things but usually covers it up (totally true). She has given him some tablets for his anxiety as well as a tea to rebalance his kidneys. Both of these issues are apparently having an impact on his sperm. She also told him that fish and brown rice were extremely good for baby making and that drinking cold water is bad - we should only ever drink warm water (who knew?!). The fish thing is extremely interesting - since we got back from our big holiday in May we've pretty much cut out meat from our diets and have increased the amount of fish we eat radically (we overdosed on meat on holiday (daily BBQs for 2 weeks!!) which gave me an upset stomach) - lo and behold, 3 months later we get a swimmer who gets me a BFP! Likely to be a complete and utter coincidence of course, but it does make you wonder.

Anyway, neither of us expect the tablets/tea to be some sort of magic potion to get us a baby, but it can't do any harm in giving it a shot and seeing if it has any impact on his sperm in 3-6 months' time. And I think that the mental release for Mr Imps of talking to someone who isn't me, and who isn't going to blab to people or be personally affected by future MCs/no baby is hugely beneficial to him - on that basis alone I'm all for it.

Anyway, enough blathering - how is everyone else getting along?

Imps9 · 01/10/2014 15:27

Had no idea that Claire Sweeney was 43! Oh, stories like that give me so much hope - I always think I've left it too late at 34, but that's just a daft thought to have, isn't it?

DinoSnores · 01/10/2014 15:42

Too late at 34? Gosh, you are just a young thing, imps! Sam Bailey (X Factor person, I think) also had a baby a week or two ago and she is 37.

I'm glad mrimps has got some sort of independent person to chat to about it all and that it makes him feel like he is doing something. Hope it does all work and we have another BFP to celebrate very soon.

Imps9 · 01/10/2014 20:59

Sad to see Chetna go! She was unlucky today. Richard's to lose, surely??

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 01/10/2014 21:29

You would think so, but keep an eye on Louis!! I think Nancy should really have gone :(

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/10/2014 22:25

I think Nancy should've gone too. I don't like her Confused

farfallarocks · 02/10/2014 10:47

dino any news?

imps very interesting on the fish diet, I think you could be onto something there. When do you start IVF?

My monitoring cycle has been cancelled, my day 1 and day 3 blood results are bizarre, FSH at about 3 and oestrogen at 500 and then 1000! Doctor said I can't possible be having a proper period with those oestrogen levels and its a breakthough bleed or something odd and that we have to start again next month. My progesterone levels are low thought (I thought maybe I weas preggers!) Very frustrating and very very odd indeed. I wonder if this has something to do with my period being so late? Apparently could be a cyst or some left over lining. They really questioned if I was having proper period and I really am, I mean I have had them for 20 years so I think I know what one looks like! Gah!! So another delay but I suppose these treatments never run smoothly.

No news on dinobaby!

Very disappointed about Chetna's departure. I think Nancy should have gone too!

Disappointing to not be able to crack on with the monitoring cycle, far. Hope it sorts itself quickly.

Imps9 · 02/10/2014 19:26

What's going on Far?? That sounds extraordinary. Are they going to try to figure that out, and if so how (ie scans, laparoscopy etc)? Were your bloods re oestrogen and progesterone normal before? Have they got the right bloods???

No idea when my IVF starts - am hoping within the next 3-4 months but we'll see. Although obvs I'll have a sticky BFP well before then.

Are you going a bit mad Dino or are you okay?

Imps9 · 02/10/2014 19:30

Oh ps - a very clear BFN for me today - thank you body for getting back to normal so quickly!

DinoSnores · 02/10/2014 21:08

Definitely going a bit mad, Imps, not helped by discovering that my (normally lovely) PIL had kept our Moses basket that we'd lent to SIL in their mouldy garage. Every time we go round, we need to scrub the mould off and bleach the Ikea highchair, so I don't know what they were doing keeping the Moses basket in there. DH made an emergency trip to Argos for a replacement but I did cry a lot about it!

Being more serious, I just want the baby out. I don't enjoy the being pregnant between the problems with both DD1 and DD2 and all the vomiting and just want to have the baby safe in my arms now.

'Glad', if that is the right word, that you got a BFN today. Obviously you'll get a sticky BFP before the IVF date, so I am glad that it means that you can move on to getting that done now.

Imps9 · 02/10/2014 21:20

What problems did you have with DD2 Dino?

Come on Dinobaby - that's enough snuggling now.

DinoSnores · 02/10/2014 21:31

I was induced at 39 weeks because of polyhydramnios (too much fluid) and because she was predicted to be 11lb at birth. Thankfully she was a petite 9+ lbs, but she did look very swollen! This was all picked up from a growth scan at 34 weeks (went on to have a few more scans after that) but this time my consultant is very relaxed and hasn't wanted to scan me since 24 weeks.

Have sent DH to get some of this though in preparation after boo spotted some:

Imps9 · 02/10/2014 21:47

Ha ha you definitely need that! I'll get some too to toast Dinobaby's arrival! Not long now.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 02/10/2014 22:27

I think we should all have a bottle to toast Dinobabys arrival!! ;-) praying is soon for you Dino these last few days are the longest!

musicalmrs · 02/10/2014 22:51

Dino, where's that baby?! Grin

Imps, been thinking of you lots lately. Hope you're ok.

Maybe, I can't believe I missed your family's five minutes of fame!

Pasta, how're things with you?

Should make it my New Month's Resolution to be a better Brooker... I lurk lots but my app often doesn't let me post, then I forget :-(

DinoSnores · 02/10/2014 22:58

It's half price at Tesco at the moment, brookers!

And there's a musical baby due very soon as well!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 02/10/2014 23:07

We need a role call of who'd doing what and when, dates, appointments that sort of thing!

Imps9 · 03/10/2014 05:53

Oooooh yes Boo - I'll start...

Key dates: ermmmm, none known.

Grin
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 03/10/2014 07:24

Thanks Imps you can go right at the top of the list Wink You'll have something to report soon I hope though!

Pastamancer · 03/10/2014 07:43

Dino you need to hurry up and get on with it, we are getting impatient :o

Imps you are a star. I thought you might want some holiday prep. This should help.

I am 18 weeks now, got my next scan on 21st October. DD is currently being very 2, brookers with toddlers will understand I'm sure
