Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

And now beaten to it by Aston Kutcher and Milla Kunis!

Dino Prosecco is in the fridge cooling in preparation for the arrival this evening of dinobaby following the sweep...

imps, are you visiting Pasta's county? It does have a pretty good success rate with Brookers and BFPs!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 03/10/2014 10:19

18 weeks already Pasta where does the time go? Very exciting, and yes I totally understand what you mean, we also use that for teen boo , some days he's very teen!

musicalmrs · 03/10/2014 13:26

I'll have to indulge in some virtual Dino wine :)

Dino, I was miffed by Milla Kunis too. I was so certain I'd pop before her..! Don't blame you re the moses basket tears.. I shed tears over Topsy and Tim yesterday. Utter madness.

That scan's crept up quickly Pasta (though probably very slowly for you?). Will you find out what flavour you're having..?

Key dates here: Due next Wed. Keep getting bouts of period pain then odd contractions and getting hopeful, and then it all fizzles away. Not expecting anything to happen for a while.

DinoSnores · 03/10/2014 15:14

Okay, sweep done now. A repeat booked for Sunday, but, of course, I'll have sneezed by then. Keep your Dino on ice, Brookers!

keepitgoing · 04/10/2014 09:29

go dino go

ooh musical Grin when did you deliver your first?

DinoSnores · 04/10/2014 10:54

No sneezing whatsoever happening here! The sweep appears to have done nothing!

musicalmrs · 04/10/2014 13:36

Oh no Dino. Lots of walking planned for today? Wink

keep, DD arrived at 40+4, which would be a week Sunday!

Solars · 05/10/2014 09:24

Dino how's it going today??? And you too Musical not long to go!!

Imps that's very interesting about the fish! Our clinic was all about the protein when I was cycling, that's lots of protein for you. Glad to hear the bleeding has stopped. And it's really good that MrImps has someone to talk to, I think it's really healthy for them because they obviously have issues surrounding all of this too.

I can't believe your bloods Far that's so strange but at least your fsh was low! was that the one you were worried about?

Big wave to all x

DinoSnores · 05/10/2014 16:21

No dinobaby yet, but just had my second sweep and cervix all ready to go. 3-4cm, fully effaced, so just need to hope things crack on soon.

Hope you're all having a good weekend. Lovely sunny day here, summer's final fling!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/10/2014 16:49

Ooh Dino that sounds very promising indeed! Wink

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/10/2014 16:50

OMG we've got TARDIS' Grin TardisTardisTardis

musicalmrs · 05/10/2014 18:40

Ooh, hoping things get moving soon Dino!

DinoSnores · 06/10/2014 09:25

I've found the most recent couple of series of Doctor Who really hard work, which has made me a bit sad. I thought Steven Moffat would be great, with 'Blink' being one of my favourite episodes. Ah, well, nice to have a properly Scottish Doctor! Tardis

No news from me otherwise.

Imps9 · 06/10/2014 10:20

Awright 'n aree? (I'm practically fluent in Cornish now thanks to Pasta).

Dino this is all excellent progress! So exciting - brooking that it's all quick and plain sailing now.

High protein diet you say, Solars? Did they explain how this was good for creating/maintaining diffedness?

What did you all do at the weekend then? I had a very fine weekend away with Mr Imps, complete with godmother duties at a friend's daughter's Christening yesterday. A lovely service for a lovely little girl. I will post a photo of the pressie that I made for her in a sec.

Re: Dr Who - have never watched an episode of it in my life!

Imps9 · 06/10/2014 10:22

Made by my own fair hands!!

W are jolly well going to get pregnant this month and we're brooking no argument - all rat smackers past, present and future welcome!
DinoSnores · 06/10/2014 10:30

imps, that's really impressive! I am absolutely useless at knitting/any sort of handicraft. Sounds like a lovely weekend.

musicalmrs · 06/10/2014 11:20

I'm not sure re the latest Doctor. Though I must admit, I haven't yet sat down and had a chance to watch it properly, as it's mostly the time of the evening I'm getting work done...

Imps, that's amazing!

Dino, how far overdue are you now? What's the next step - another sweep?

Nothing exciting happened here. Illness has overtaken the musical household. First DD, then me, and now DH. In fact, last night, regular contractions and heading towards established active labour I reckon (to the point of shifting around kitchen, about to blow up pool and put on tens machine).. .then DH was so ill and DD wouldn't sleep, and I think the stress overtook everything going on and it all fizzled out. So rather annoyed, but at the same time impressed over the cleverness side of it..

DinoSnores · 06/10/2014 11:36

That sounds promising, musical. I'm 8 days over now. Next step would another sweep tomorrow or Wed, but getting bored of evenings of contractions that go nowhere.

farfallarocks · 06/10/2014 13:31

imps that is amazing, a girl of many many talents!
I believe a high protein diet has been proved to help egg quality in IVF.

Good luck dino, have you tried dates? My indie midwife swears by it and says its used widely in the Middle East, 5 a day and helps start labour naturally.
musical that is a very clever body, they do say you hang on until you feel safe and ready or at least the baby does as I think its the baby that kick starts labour!

solars that was indeed the hormone I was worried about but those results are meaningless with such a high oestrogen level. Had some acupuncture and the girl actually explained it much better than the docs, left over cyst from previous follicle. She said it was likely I would ovulate early this month and low and behold I had EWCM on CD4, then a high and then a peak on days 5 and 6. Most bizarre but there you go, the rat was smacked on both days. I am confused though Confused

imps i love it! i want one

DinoSnores · 07/10/2014 12:08

musical, any news?

3rd sweep done this am, went for a walk for an hour and felt a bit niggly. Now bouncing on my ball but nothing major to report. Really want to get things going!

DinoSnores · 07/10/2014 12:10

posted too early

far, I am eating dates after reading your post. Hope things settle down so they can do a proper monitoring cycle asap. We want this brooking baby!

musicalmrs · 07/10/2014 19:16

No news here Dino. Occasional sets of contractions, getting as close as every 5 mins, but then they disappear. Frustrating. An evening on the ball ahead for me too! Hope things get moving soon after your sweep earlier.

Imps9 · 07/10/2014 22:26

Aaaaarrrg for you Dino and Musical - pesky babies being too damned lazy to get themselves born. Tomorrow is the Dino and the day after is all yours Musical. Brooking. No. Argument.

Excited about GBBO final tomorrow - bring it on. Might bake a cake after work in celebration.
