I genuinely think most people mean well and don't even think about problems ttc unless they've encountered them. I think generally people see it as chit chat, apart from the woman who you refer to Gennibugs, she's clearly an arse!! I totally understand how tough it is though when you're so desparate to have a baby :(

Fb is tough with other peoples babies! Even though I have two I really struggled with my friends announcement and then baby shower when I was desparate for a baby that I believed I'd never have. Let's hope August is everyone's month and you can all tell everyone your good news soon :)

Just on my Ov week now, so DTD as much as poss, but trying to just go with the flow and not get obsessed over everything (easier said than done mind!)

The Penis Dragon Good luck charm was thought up back in February (but for the March bus) by the wonderful PolytheneGirl, who has since graduated. We were coming up with lots of different good luck things such as green bed sheets, pomegranates and the magical penis dragons. Poly found pictures online that no one should ever see but they have been adopted by the buses since, whenever we need a pick-me-up.

That's so sweet MrsExtraOrdinary! We told the boys we are trying to have a baby but it won't be here for a long time and ds2 (3) keeps telling people 'mummy is about to have a baby'!! People look at me and I just smile!

A good question Katy. From what I have read, if your DH has a good sperm count, then every day during the fertile period does technically increase your chances of having fresh sperm ready and waiting. It was always said that sperm needs a day to replenish but current studies including the big 10 year NUJM study has found this to be not true.

Most sperm only lasts about 24 hours (some last longer but not always) and an egg lasts about 12 hours so the window is actually very small.

However, if DH has a low sperm count, that can be counter productive and EOD is advised.

In all honesty though, every day for an indefinitate amount of time is unrealistic for most so if you are unsure of exact fertile days, EOD should be fine!

God knows what I'm going to do if I get a sticky bean though, as I know jack about pregnancy

hahaha! Kitty - I know all sorts ttc related, far more than my pg friends or friends with kids. It really is a bloody miracle anyone ever gets pregnant!!

Hi. Been laying low since disappointment (cp) last week . sorry haven't caught up yet had to switch off . Have only just stopped bleeding its cd6 if counting from when I started bleeding and I suddenly started feeling like I might be ov soon and did a test and it's already pretty dark a week earlier thank normal . Looking at it I'd say it'll be positive in the next few days . I feel like the cp threw my normal cycle . I don't really feel ready to do it again yet . I've had two cp in a row now and it's really draining because I always feel so awful in the 2 ww physically not just mentally . I'm despairing feel like in my case it's pointless but can't just give up yet. I guess I 'll stick to the original plan of trying until NY and then I'll have to go for Ivf again.
