Hi Katy Get whatever you feel will help you, rather than add stress for you, so if a CBFM gives you the support you need, go for it. Nothing wrong with the cheap OPKs either of course, but it's totally up to you. I'd say something else alongside checking CM, would be better than the guess work the apps give you. The apps don't know what's happening with your body-only what you input Grin
This cycle, take a breather and aim to DTD every other day or every two days till about CD22 or so (just in case you ovulate late)
For most people that is fine and you'll soon find out if you are "most people" or not and what works for you Smile Give your DH a big hug and a kiss and talk about his day for a bit and see where things lie. It will help you feel sooo much better.

Treacle a huge hug and a squeeze-so sorry the bitch appeared. Miscarriages truly mess with your cycles as well as everything else. I see you have joined the September bus how did we get to September already, it was December a second ago so just see September as getting baby ready xxx

Just did an OPK and the second line is close but not close enough-I just don't know if the LH surge is on it's way out or in! Will keep an eye on those temps but might well have a drink this weekend which could confuse things anyway (I'm heading south to Brighton this weekend MrsE!) so I'll just keep initiating DTD as well. I've been very uncomfortable today so I hope something positive is happening! Just can't believe it's CD12 -yay, as normally I'm waiting another week before something even starts to happen. Long cycles suck-Grrr!

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2014 19:05

Thanks kitty, yeah I have joined but don't honk we will be trying to be honest.
I can't believe how fast it's gone. It will be December again before we know it!

Big hugs for you, enjoy your drinks and don't worry about them affecting your temps - just have fun! :)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/08/2014 19:58

EnglishGirlsReturned · 07/08/2014 20:24

Hey Ladies!

Hope the bitch stays away blueberry, fx for you.

Yay for the early ov'ing Kitty, what i'd give for nice early ov'ing!!

I'm currently cd9, started smep yesterday. Need to do an opk tonight. Will start cb dual hormone tomorrow.

Bloody hope we're not still here in December Treacle, Kitty Shock

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 20:28

It's been a long sale process for you MrsE - I hope you complete soon as the stress can't be doing you any good. Hope you have the campers on ice when you do!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 20:37

Bless you Katy -am unlikely to be successful this month as I've gotten used to failure Grin and feel part of the furniture but I always hope!

December is a scary thought isn't it English ! Positive thinking -
WE CAN DO IT!!!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 20:40

campers?? Not that I think you are doing odd things to campers I promise, MrsE! I meant champers Grin

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 20:47

I hope none of us r still here in dec, that is way to far away. I want to b up duffel by nov at latest as otherwise have to go to USA for a week in feb!! I am not a fan! If I'm up duffed will b saying a massive NO to travelling, they won't like it but I don't care I just need to b far enough along to b able 2 use this as an excuse!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 07/08/2014 20:56

If i'm still here in December i'll be royally fucked off!! September was the first bus i joined....would love to not have to make my bus thread anniversary!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/08/2014 20:58

Kitty that did make me laugh!Grin I've put all the campers on I've they're much cooler and the bolly is in the fridge! Wink

You wouldn't believe the hoops and the jumping that's gone on. Hoping to have contracts drafted next week and exchanged and completed in quick succession. Just want it done now.

You're very right I've been a stress head about it. Dh demands if af ever turns up and as soon as it's over a new pair of suspenders for every day of the month. I nearly died of shock. Thinking he's on a ttc mission!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 21:05

Good on 'im MrsE Wink

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/08/2014 21:09

Kitty it's only taken him 9 months to give it his all. Think he's clocked he'll be nearly 42 by the time anything hatches and that's only if he gets a wriggle on with it now!! Grin

OP posts:
KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 21:21

Sounds familiar! I get the impression a lot of men initially think TTC will be easy, that their super sperm once will be enough. It's only after a long time with nothing happening, do they start to actually think about it and start giving it the same attention we do Grin

EnglishGirlsReturned · 07/08/2014 21:39

Not even a hint of a line on an opk.... far too early for me!!

My dh is well up for ttc now! After a year of ttc, he's very determined!

tickletink · 07/08/2014 21:44

I think you're right there, Kitty - they just don't pay as much attention as we do to begin with!

We're on cycle two, and my husband thinks I'm obsessed. I temp in the mornings and that's all I do - I'm not trying to jump him any more than I ever have, I'm not perma-peeing on a stick, I'm not talking about my cervical mucus with him... but he still thinks every single time I want to have sex it's only about making a baby! He has said no more often this month than he ever has before... I think he is putting pressure on himself, the fool.

I think the next time he turns me down I'm going to scream "I'm not even fertile, I just want a " at him just to hammer it into him that YES, I want to get pregnant but NO, it's not the be all and end all just yet!

If he thinks I'm obsessed now he'll be in for a surprise in three months when I start panicking that I'll no longer be in my twenties when I have my first child and I'm still not pregnant! Ha!

kurama · 07/08/2014 21:53

thanks ladies. i hope so too, a bit of blood on pad today and light red cm when wiping, though a was actually turning up earlier as cramping got really bad, but it went after an hour or so. had another shit day at work although half the stuff i was blamed for wasnt my fault. wanted to hit my boss which hasnt happened before, so Angry
no sore boobs as such yet. ive been very calm over past few weeks and thats weird enough. hopefully i should be out of limbo in next 2 weeks. if my level was at 2 last thurs and it is ib then it should start doubling from today so 2-4-8-16-32 so maybe next sat? wishful thinking.

how is everyone else today???

as im feeling crap you can have the worse pic i found Wink

tickletink · 07/08/2014 21:59

Oh Kurama - that picture!! OUCH!!! I wouldn't let that near me!!!

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 22:16

Sorry ur having a bad time kurama that's no gd. Try to take a deep breath and think soon hopefully v soon I'll get mat leave!

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 22:17

Kitty and tickle I an so the same hubbie gets we need to do it but work stress gets us both which is poo. We managed it tonight though and both apps reckon we r in fertile window Grin

kurama · 07/08/2014 23:20

Normally I love my job and like my boss.... Hormones? Lol.
Just wish I could explain to someone irl how I'm feeling right now dh doesn't understand what's happening anymore than I do. He's trying to be supportive but just doesn't get it Confused

TheDetective · 08/08/2014 01:00

Thanks

TheDetective · 08/08/2014 01:11

Bloody iPhone! Thanks for the advice :) I guess I can only wait and see what happens.

Got further positive opks today.

I think I got lucky in the fact that DP understands the whole 'when I say shag, we shag' thing. The tricky part in our house is getting the actual chance to shag Hmm.

This evening for example. We wanted to dtd as early as possible when I got home from work. My 12 year old was here with his friend and our toddler was running about.

We ended up sending the two 12 year olds to the shop, with the dog to make it a longer walk, for something we didn't really need Grin. Then sat the toddler in his highchair his favourite place the odd bod! watching waybuloo while me and DP legged it upstairs for the fastest shag known to man. Anyway, it all went wrong, nothing was produced, and the boys arrived back before we could do anything about it Grin.

So we had to wait to bedtime. Where it seems DP got stage fright once again Grin and bless him, he sorry to be so crude!!!! sorted himself out and stuck it in me at the crucial moment!

I think it's safe to say, DP is all shagged out Grin. Poor bugger. Every few days is all he can cope with usually!

Will have to give tomorrow a rest and hope we've done enough!

Dtd CD10,12,13,14 (twice), 15. Positive opk on CD14/15 (just after midnight into day 16). Really would like to dtd tomorrow just in case. But guess poor DP might have something to say about that!

TheDetective · 08/08/2014 01:12

God. Making babies is just not romantic at all!!!

TheDetective · 08/08/2014 01:13

I meant I got a positive opk just after midnight in to day 15 not day 16. Duh.
