and now its moved to proper red when wiping just now. sorry tmi. wtaf?! goes and hides in corner while head explodes.... if I ignore weird spotting 2 weeks ago its the start of a very late af. if I take weird spottimg as af. then it's very bloody early af or implantation bleeding. ... will have to see what tomoro bringsConfused Angry

Nordicmom · 06/08/2014 23:43

Don't give up yet could be imp bleed . I think mine was in hindsight 6/7dpo last cycle ...

TheDetective · 07/08/2014 00:40

I was just about to come and post moan for advice. I didn't get a positive opk last month. The closest I got was a line almost as dark as the control. But not quite.

I'm CD15 (as we are now after midnight). My cycles are 28 days with the odd 26/27 thrown in. Last month was 27. I have been POAS every time I wee for the last 5 days! At 9.15pm I did one which showed a faint line but not a positive. At midnight I got a definite positive (see pic!).

So it seems I'm going to ovulate around CD16? Is that right?

I'm confused. As I've never had a cycle longer than 28 days.

Will this cycle be longer? It seems silly but it's important to me to know a date of ovulation (or as close to it as I can) for reasons I CBA going in to Grin. Also. When can I POAS?! CD 25/26?

Luckily, we dtd an hour before my positive opk. And DP has agreed as soon as I get in from work tomorrow at 3pm we will do it again Grin.

Any advice oh wise ones?!

Detective, are you concerned as this would mean your LP would only be 12 days? Do you know how long it is usually? I think that sounds about right (but excuse me if I'm missing something).

11DPO, no AF. Woke up with cramps again and assumed she'd turned up, but no! Have been doing some rampant googling on progesterone tablets, and it seems they can cause some cramping, so am revising my expectations down to no pregnancy but progesterone working as it should to hold off AF. Tomorrow morning I'll be 12DPO if still no sign so will POA FRER. Exciting! Have enjoyed the ride this cycle even if not upduffed. Meds are all doing what they should so I should just have the same 25% pregnancy chance each cycle now! Smile

TheDetective · 07/08/2014 06:23

I was just thinking it seems a bit of a late ovulation given my cycle lengths?

This mornings opk was a positive too but took longer than last nights line to show and isn't as dark, more equal to the control line.

Hooray for ovulation!

We dtd again oooops!

I'm trying to pinpoint ovulation because my last baby went to 20 days over due according to scan dates. But 17 days to my dates. If the same scenario occurs I'd like to know ovulation so I can be sure of my dates. So I will feel more confident to not accept induction of labour.

Detective not everyone has the magical 14 luteal phase. Most people it's somewhere between 11-14. Which means even with a 28 day cycle it's perfectly normal to ov at cd16. Or you could just be in for a longer cycle. Your lp generally won't change by more than a day or two from cycle to cycle. Wow I said cycle a lot there!
Fx for you chandlers!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 07:08

Hi Detective This could go one of two ways: you ovulate today or tomorrow but your LP extend itself accordingly and you end up with a 29-30 day cycle or a BFP or the LP doesn't adjust and cycle ends 28 days as normal. 11 or 12 day LP is still considered normal and fine.

Or, you don't ovulate and you either have done or will (highly unlikely but always possible-can only check with temping) I'd still jump DH over the next few days inc. weekend if I were you!!
Chandlers So hope this is your month but still super glad you are now in with a decent chance unlike before

kurama where in God's name do you find these pics-love 'em!! Sorry you are in a waiting game. Don't freak out about being red though, I have read so many women's accounts of IB being red-it's meant the implantation is happening right then, rather than has happened. I hope this is it for you!

I on the other hand have been a bit silly...I'm on CD12 and don't normally start using OPKs until this day due to ovulating between CD18-20 usually, but I wish I did yesterday!

This morning my temp dipped a further .2 or so degrees and woke up with sharp stabby pains in right side. My cm is still dry but coupled with my sore boobs yesterday afternoon onwards, I could be gearing up or ovulating a full week early. Could the Soy Isoflavones be working their magic or just a weird side effect Hmm I know which I'd rather hope for and still used my DH to good effect regardless Grin

Shetland · 07/08/2014 07:09

detective For me, that would mean a longer cycle of 29/30 days but I have had the odd cycle where I've just ov'd later.
If I were you I'd test when you would normally expect AF - if you get a positive you'll know it was late ov rather than a longer cycle.
If it's negative - well, it's back to guessing games!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 07:10

X-post with English - love that we are on the same page Grin How are you doing? Any positive cycle signs?

mistywillow17 · 07/08/2014 07:11

Morning all.

AF is due tomorrow and still BFN - but also still have the weirdest permanently dry mouth.

It's funny, at the moment, I quite LIKE having a dry mouth because it could potentially be an exciting SYMPTOM

But if AF rears her ugly head tomorrow then it will be a real annoyance - I'm thirsty all the time, and no amount of liquid takes that dry feeling away. So I am really hoping it is not just something I need to see the doctor about!

I haven't had my usual cramping this cycle, just a few twinges here and there, so all things considered, I am keeping my fingers cautiously crossed. (Oh, and I thought I was becoming more sensitive to smell, but it turns out that DH is just excessively windy at the moment!)

mistywillow17 · 07/08/2014 07:14

Oops, forgot to say, belated congratulations to Fairey
And Kurama (I love your pics!) hope today brings some answers for you

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 07:17

How many dpo are you misty? There is still hope!

mistywillow17 · 07/08/2014 07:20

I think 11 or 12 DPO - keeping fingers tightly crossed that it's still to early to show. Thank goodness for cheapy tests (I bought in bulk and have a stash of about 50! Blush), I would be spending a fortune otherwise

KittyVonCatsington · 07/08/2014 07:31

Technically you could only have just implanted so I hope that's the case!

Fairey86 · 07/08/2014 08:06

Thankyou all for your lovely congratulations messages! Still in shock lol
Will keep my eyes posted for some more BFPs on this thread :) xxx

Nordicmom · 07/08/2014 08:06

Cd 8 and still a flashing smily

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/08/2014 08:07

Morning ladies! Sunny down on the south coast today, hope the sun is shinning wherever you all are Smile

Planned to meet an old friend today but woke up and feeling yuck. Af still not arrived despite cramping, no spotting or change in cm at all. But had upset tummy this morning so hoping it passes quickly. Felt nauseous for about 10 days but that could just be the stomach problems I have so not full proof symptom for me.

I'm Sure I'm not pg. Last test was yesterday bfn so hoping af turns up today. I'm done with limbo now. It's weird some times I can get a regular 28 day cycle and then almost every third one or at the moment every other just goes on and on and on.... Cd35 today Worried its going to knock me for 6 when it finally shows up. Maybe it's waiting for my kids to come home tomorrow?! I know their dad is perfectly capable of looking after them but I miss them terribly. I drove into town yesterday and spotted the youngest 2 in the park playing. Sad Think Ill make them a cake for tomorrow Smile

gennibugs · 07/08/2014 08:30

Morning all.

Day god knows what in the gennibugs house and another flashing smiley. Just fix FFS!

Anyway DH is away tonight and won't be back til very late tomorrow. sods law ill get my fixed this eve or in the morning. He's said we should DTD when he's back. Really hope we don't miss ov, we've both really tried hard this cycle and I'll be sad if we fall at the final hurdle.

good luck treacle for a new cycle. Were you expecting AF?

sounds like there are some promising symptoms - fx for you chandlers and misty.

mrse and kurama hope you work out what's going on soon.

kitty I think you definitely did the right thing in jumping DH

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 08:38

Morning ladies in need of support. Feeling down today cd 12 today which according to ff app is ovulation day tried last night to dtd but hubbie had a shocker of a new day and it didn't happen. So sad as feel that was our shot. He says he can try again tonight and I'm trying to reassure him as he has enough stress but I'm sad and have no one to talk to about it Hmm. I hope it will work tonight and I know Ovia app has only just put me in fertile window but I just want to be preg. Sorry this sounds so all about me Hmm

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2014 08:52

Thanks genni :)
Yeah I was expecting it, there was a lack of dtd due to thrush.
I think we will be having a cycle off now as I'm going a bit crazy.

Jump on your DH when he gets home Genni :)

katy, try not to worry. Do you have short cycles? Cd 12 is quite early anyway.

kurama · 07/08/2014 09:07

thanks ladies. im trying not to worry, but also trying not to get hopes up again..... kitty google has everything! I have a very disturbing one im saving for a while lol.
katy try not to worry. cd12 is quite early so u still have a good chance x

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/08/2014 09:19

Treacle if you're having a bit of time out it might be worth continuing to take the thrush tablet once a week to completely clear you out. I had to do this non stop for 3 months it was chronic. But it solved it. You can still have it even when you aren't showing symptoms. It's a bigger to get rid of. Angry

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 09:24

Thank kurma and tracle. I'm sure u r right. I think it's worse as yes I think I have short cycles last once was 25 days but don't know for certain as only came off pill in may so last cycle was only my 2nd cycle. 1st was 51 days. My Ovia ap is saying do a fertility test. I don't have any as wasn't going to start this till next month but do u reckon I should I could go to boots? But I've already had my first pea of the day?

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2014 09:26

Thanks MrsE, I will try that.
Despite my intentions of being good, I went our last night and drank far too much wine.

I think I need to take a month off drinking!
