I never bothered with maternity pants, just cheap black pants 2 sizes too big that I threw away a few weeks later.

I had an epidural. No pain except right at the end. Loved the gas and air too

Birth sounds horrendous. I will worry about that much later once I get my bfp!

Hi lena! I lost my daughter at 32 weeks and am currently 18+5 weeks with a boy fingers crossed for you.

Haha lulu, it really is a good pain, I only had pain relief at the very end, obviously my birth was not a normal happy birth, I can imagine it being an amazing experience if you get the happy ending

I didn't bleed that much after birth, maybe becuase it was earlier than normal? Or I'm just a wierdo!

I should be induced around 37/38 weeks, when do you think the bag should be packed by? I'm really excited about it!

I have had gas and air this year - when I lost a tampon and they could not get it out and I clamped up! I hated the gas and air. Had no effect.

bears that sounds like my birth plan!! I did think of having a home birth but got told no by dh and my mum !! We have a midwife led suite which I've put my name down for lots of bouncing on balls etc !! I am not worried about labour which means I probably should be!!

Did anyone go to NCT classes. DH has been researching them and there is a weekend course near us about 9 weeks before EDD. Are they worth going to?

I never went to any classes with DS. I'll be going to breast feeding support classes before and after birth this time as I had no support in breast feeding and was forced to give DS a bottle by a midwife.

Yes, I did the NCT classes. I think they're worthwhile although mainly for meeting people due around the same time as you. Some people find there is too much emphasis on natural birth from NCT, but that wasn't the case for me. It's a good chance to ask questions as well. So yes, I'd recommend it!

Sorry i haven't been on for a while. Have been feeling pretty rubbish. My depression has come back gradually and this last week getting worse every day. I am going to go to the doctors today to ask to go back on my tablets again. They carry a small risk to baby which makes me feel horrible. But i can't carry on like this as i am not myself and can't even get excited or look forward to my scan next week at the moment. I just have no positivity in me at all now. Feel like an empty miserable shell. I can't believe i am feeling this bad again. Sorry for bringing negativity to the board.xx

What are the nct classes? Are they the same as ante natal classes?

Sorry to hear your having a tough time kitkat . I hope the drs helpful and you've got friends and family around .
I've got my scan tomorrow I'am so so nervous already !!

kitkat I am so sorry you are feeling so bad. I know how overwhelming depression can be. I suffer from it periodically and nothing but nothing seems exciting or worthwhile. I have felt like I was almost alien because I felt so different to other people.

Go to the Drs. Remember it is a chemical imbalance, you can't just 'pull yourself together' (as many people think) with proper depression. Getting help is the right thing to do.The quicker you get help, the quicker you will start to feel better.

Hope u get things sorted soon kitkat. Remember a happy u makes a happy, baby!! :) so don't feel bad about going back on ur medication.

I'm looking for a new car and it's proving almost impossible!

Thanks lulu. It's exactly how I feel. At least from having g it before I can try and hold onto the fact that with medication it will ease off in a month or so. I'm seeing adifferent doctor as mine Iis on holiday so I'm just hoping he doesn't refuse to prescribe me them. good luck with your scan poppet.

Cupcake, I am starting to look for a new car too. I hate cars. They cost a fortune and eat money. Am totally uninterested in them, so is DH. It is a boring chore I think.

It's our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday. I think he is up to something. We'll see.

Oh lulu it's awful! Nothing's cheap when it comes to cars. Or something's wrong with it or it's just ugly. Eugh I hate it!

dr put me back on normal dose of meds with no worries and said theres only small risks and baby is now fully formed as well. he didnt seemed worried about it at all, just wanted me to be feeling myself.

DH and I are also looking for a new car: I can select the design and the colour, and he decides about the motor, the engine, and all the technical things :)
I am leaving tonight for a few days in Italy, to visit "Verona" and "Venezia", eat some authentic italian pizzas, buy some delicious wine that I won't be able to taste until next year, etc.
I hope to read a lot of good news about scans and BFPs when I'll be back :) See you soon ladies!
