cupcake I would kill for chocolate cake right now. We have nothing in the house that would be a treat. Will be reduced to lemon curd on a ryvita!

DH refusing to go to shop as is on a diet.

Congratts missy this really is a lucky thread.

I have signs of ovulation today so think i might have started trying a bit early. Not using opk or anything like that at the moment but I think I can usually tell by cm.

I have been healthy eating and exercising prior to ttc managed to lose a stone would like to lose another honestly. Just cutting down not major dieting.

Siarie · 28/07/2014 19:40

Seeing as this is a lucky thread, can I join too?

Siarie, TTC #1, cycle 2 not sure when AF due as last cycle was irregular

LuluJakey1 · 28/07/2014 19:51

You are very welcome Siarie . Hope it is lucky for you.

21 I could do with losing a stone and a half but don't know if I should be trying while I am pregnant. Have only put on 4 lbs since I have been pregnant so it is not being pregnant, just pre- pregnancy gluttony! Blush
Am trying to be sensible. It is hard.

Ducky23 · 28/07/2014 19:53

Welcome siarie Smile

Good luck for those still trying Grin

Cupcake I'm consultant led, I think it depends on why you are cons led how much difference it makes.

I have seen him twice so far, should be seeing him next week and after 26 weeks il see him every 2 weeks.

Feeling a bit fed up, DH is just being generally spiteful and nasty Hmm he can be so horrible sometimes

21questions · 28/07/2014 20:34

Lulu I dont think you should be trying to lose weight when pregnant no, just healthy eating should be ok but I know its hard I have such a sweet tooth!

Ducky thats not nice, why does he have to be like that.

Welcome siarie hope its lucky for you and me both Smile

iamdivergent · 28/07/2014 20:46

Sorry Bradders my phone hates and auto corrects everything!

Welcome! I reckon this is def the lucky thread Grin

Ducky Tell him to get stuffed . He is such a so and so to you sometimes. What is the matter with him tonight?

21 I have managed to resist the lure of the shop. DH has been swimming but has had a can of stella since he got home. looks smug and self-righteous

Cupcake92 · 28/07/2014 21:56

Welcome siarie!!! :)

Ah so Ducky u will see him more after 26 weeks then. I would think of see him often after 26 weeks then as the reason I was consultant let near the end of my pregnancy was because I went into early labour at 31/32 weeks and then DS was hardly moving in the last month. I had to have my early labour stopped. Don't want that happening again as I'd rather not have the steroid injections!!

Cupcake92 · 28/07/2014 21:56

Oh god talk about healthy eating!!!! I'm sat eating a pizza !! Hahaha!

Cupcake92 · 28/07/2014 22:09

I can't eat it tho. :( wtf. Ate a slice n I feel so sick :( :( whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy ?!!!! :(

Ducky23 · 28/07/2014 22:16

Are the steroid injections bad cupcake? I will be having them I think as I will be induced as early as poss.

Hahahaha healthy eating! Today I have ate toast, crisps, a potato, curry and an ice lol Blush washed down with a Pepsi BlushBlushBlushBlushBlush

Cupcake92 · 28/07/2014 23:18

I don't want to scare u Ducky but I'd rather go through labour every year for the rest of my life than have the steroid injections again. :O they sting like mad, I hate to say it but I balled my eyes out when having mine and I begged the nurse not to give me the next one. I even offered her money not to! Hahaaha!!!
U have 1 done either in ur leg or ur bum lol then 24 hours later u have the next one. My advice is to have one in the leg then the next one in the bum. Otherwise ull have 2 rele achy sore legs that u won't be able to walk on.

Bearsinmotion · 29/07/2014 06:40

I was consultant led too - saw them pretty much once a week by the end! It was really good though, felt like I was being well looked after.

Booking in appointment this afternoon! DP is coming too as he wants to meet the midwife, then we're picking DD up early to go to the park :)

Ducky23 · 29/07/2014 06:45

I love injections Confused is it having it done, or the pain after?

Exciting stuff bears Smile nice of DH to come with you too!

steph1204 · 29/07/2014 08:13

Hi ladies!
Keep us posted Bears, I hope your DH will like the midwife :)

May I ask you a question ladies? In two weeks, I'll have my 12 weeks scan and if everything is ok, I'll have to tell my boss about my pregnancy. I'm totally scared about this, because my boss is a lonely woman, without husband or boyfriend, who spend all her time working (she sent email on saturday at 3am sometimes) and she wants her employees to be totally dedicated to work, like she is... The previous and only time a collegue announced her a pregnancy, she didn't congratulate her but told her that she felt betrayed and after the baby was born, my colleague quit the job.
I'm starting to be stressed about it, and I think I won't be able to face her to announce my pregnancy, I would prefer to do it per mail even if it's not usual. My husband told me not to worry about her, and if she is mean at me, I'm free to quit the job too, but I don't want to quit this job... :( What should I do?

Cupcake92 · 29/07/2014 08:29

Good luck bears! :) let us know how it goes!!

And Ducky it's both. Hurts going in and hurts after :( sorry don't mean for it to sound awful! :(

Steph I'd go and tell her but, after just forget about it if she's mean. Just think "she needed to know and now she does" and then u can just get on with ur work :) don't worry about it it'll all be fine.

steph1204 · 29/07/2014 08:32

Thanks cupcake, you're probably right, I should not give to much weight to what she will say... at least, I should try to ! ;)

LuluJakey1 · 29/07/2014 08:42

Steph I think you should just be direct with her and not apologetic at all. Tell her what your thinking is on maternity leave is so she can start planning ahead. Schools can be a bit like that because it causes them so much inconvenience and they never manage to get anyone as good to cover as the petson going on maternity leave. Is it a big company?

LuluJakey1 · 29/07/2014 08:43

Hope today goes well Bears. How old is DD?

Ducky23 · 29/07/2014 08:51

Haha I'm scared now cupcake!

Steph she can't change behaviour towards you becUse of pregnancy, that would be discrimination. You could e mail as it is best to keep things in writing especially if you think she will be a bitch about it Wink

steph1204 · 29/07/2014 09:06

I wanted to email her in order to avoid her face and her reaction, but you're right ducky, it will also be a good proof that I announced my pregnancy if she is mean! Thank you! :)

Cupcake92 · 29/07/2014 09:36

Sorry Ducky!! :( but they steroid injections are good to mature baby's lungs :) so just have to think of it as a good pain :) like labour!

Ah yes steph Ducky is right! Writing will provide proof just incase

Ducky23 · 29/07/2014 09:38

And if she is horrible Steph make a note of it all, the date and time and what happened Wink

I'm quite excited cupcake... What a wierdo!

Bearsinmotion · 29/07/2014 10:49

lulu DD is 2.5. They will be 3 years 1 month apart, just like me and DSis.

Steph, my old boss was a bit like this bitch. She had DC through IVF and seemed very bitter about anyone who conceived naturally. I loved my job before pregnancy, hated it after. I did everything by email. then I was offered a new job 4 months after I went back (at the same grade as my old boss Grin), much happier now!

Make sure you know what the maternity conditions are (esp if you need to return to work or repay any maternity pay) and use the leave to scope out jobs elsewhere!
