I have had a sorting out day. Driving license, dentist, post office, charity shop with bags of stuff, final paperwork following my mum's death, ordered some shoes online, bought DH some new shirts for work, made some soup , cleaned the fridge, changed the bed, de-flea'd the cats and sprayed the house, shredded papers, sorted some drawers out.

DH went shopping for food and came back with a 2 ft tall bendy tiger toy and a beanie hat for the baby. Hmm He has got to stop this - the house is going to be full of this crap.

Baby has no clothes, cot, furniture or buggy - but does have a drum, a Bradford City strip, a large bendy tiger and a beanie hat. Grin

Seriously though, I feel like it is tempting fate to buy anything and I wish he would stop.

LuluJakey1 · 18/08/2014 22:07

I am still nervous- I still check ever time I go to the loo to see if I am bleeding. Now I can feel the baby moving, I am trying to work out a pattern so I can monitor it. I will drive us mad with it, worrying.

Cupcake92 · 18/08/2014 22:07

I said 'much' twice haha. Sorry I'm so tired. I need to throw up so bad. Hahaa! Oh dear!

Michelle51012 · 18/08/2014 22:25

I would say good sign cupcake, Sad ducky, you've had v busy day lulu I think ur DH is just excited it's cute lol, well I'm off back to sleep ladies stop my mind doing overtime, will let you's know what doc says, night

LuluJakey1 · 18/08/2014 22:40

Michelle- I know he is- bless him- but why does he get a drum and a 2ft bendy toy and not something that will actually be useful to the baby before he is 2?

This afternooon when we saw a man and a boy out cycling on the seafront he said 'This time next summer will I be able to go out with him on our bikes? ' The baby will be 7 months old! I said I thought probably not and he looked disappointed.

Tonight he is researching what babies can do at what age - it is keeping him very busy. No doubt I will be hearing all about it when he comes to bed and over the next few months. Smile

Ducky23 · 19/08/2014 06:50

Lulu the movements will be fine, I know from hAving the midwife out a million times to check the heart beat after going in a panic!! They will be wrigglers then can go quiet for a day or two at this stage.... I know it doesn't help much and it's still worrying ConfusedConfusedConfused

I have been told not to monitor movements until at least 24 weeks (although I can't help it and I still do it) you can even get a count the kicks bracelet off e bay Grin

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 07:50

Aw bless lulu. I always worried about movements. I was always in the MAU and that's why I ended up being induced. U can't my help but worry.
And bless ur DH about the bikes rides! He sounds like he's going to be a lovely dad :)

I'm still feeling nauseous today it's not gone away this time.
Got my booking in appt tomorrow at 9am :)

Siarie · 19/08/2014 08:50

Gah, I booked an appointment to see my doctor for today but didn't realise I needed to book a double session with my doctor so they have time to do all my forms. So rang the reception to check what's normally done (as I booked online) and they don't have any doubles until tomorrow. Oh well though not too long to wait and my GP seem quite organised!

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 09:14

Siarie, how come u see the GP before a midwife?
Here u don't see a GP, u only see ur midwife at ur booking in appt at 8 weeks no earlier.
Would be nice to see someone earlier as 8 weeks is quite long to wait lol!

Siarie · 19/08/2014 11:00

It seems to vary cupcake, I booked an appointment with my GP because I wasn't sure what I needed to do. But then today (when the appoint was) I thought I would look online, it seems loads of people have different experiences all over. So I went ahead and rang the GP reception and said that I had an appointment today, do I actually need to see a doctor or is there another procedure.

The lady said I did need to see the doctor as they do all the booking and antenatal forms but I needed a double appointment for it. So have to wait until tomorrow, I think tomorrow will be a bunch of forms to fill out from what she said. I expect I won't obviously get a scan until 12 weeks as I know my dates but that's fine I just want to get on the system if you know what I mean?

My GP is really good though, since I moved to London it's been great they always have appointments and they have a birth centre with the same name so I assume it must be on site somewhere lol! I think I might even go for it as it's more relaxed and DH can stay over (double beds). It's the sort of thing you don't see on the NHS often lol!

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 11:10

Oh right! See my midwife does all the forms with me. Strange how it can be so different in different places :)
Oh wow! A birth centre with double beds???!! I'd lie to go there!!

Michelle51012 · 19/08/2014 11:16

Lulu that's just men for u lol especially 1st time round lol, just back from docs I've to go to maternity hosp at 2pm & they are going to try scanning me but warned might not see anything as it's so early but if they don't they will go by bloods, can home from docs & the discharge is a darker brown now (tmi I know) Sad praying with everything in me that my little bean is ok

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 11:23

Hope all is okay for u Michelle :( keeping my fx crossed.

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 11:36

How many weeks are u Michelle?
And like they said don't be worried if u see nothing, at my scan I only had the gest sac and the yolk egg. But I'm pretty confident I'll see baby next week :)

Michelle51012 · 19/08/2014 11:41

Thanks cupcake, I'm 5 weeks at most I think so I could be less, how far on are u ?

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 11:54

Well I thought I was 8 weeks this week but scan suggested I'm only 6 weeks this week. But I dunno. Won't know for certain until my 12 week scan.

LuluJakey1 · 19/08/2014 12:02

Michelle, hope the scan is good news. It is early days to see much on a scan but as Cupcake said they might see something.

Good luck Thanks

LuluJakey1 · 19/08/2014 12:04

Glad you are feeling positive Cupcake- it is certainly sounding positive with all the sickness and exhaustion sounds stupid but she will know what I mean Smile

Cupcake92 · 19/08/2014 12:22

I agree lulu! My boobs are hurting and tingling today as well. I am feeling pretty positive about it all tbh :) just hope next week comes around fast. Seems to be dragging atm!

LuluJakey1 · 19/08/2014 12:29

When did you buy clothes and proper things for DS Cupcake? I feel it is a bit early but DH thinks we should start looking now while we are on holiday. It feels like tempting fate.

lillamyy1 · 19/08/2014 12:38

Thanks Michelle, I hope everything is fine, I'm sure it will be.
Well I'm very poorly, got a UTI. Started having tummy pains and cystitis last night and (tmi) horrible diarrhoea Sad called 111 and they sent me to a walk in at 1 in the morning! DP was really sweet and came with me and paid for the taxi, although this morning he was grumpy about it and refused to go to the pharmacy to get my antibiotics for me Sad Still feel really sick as well so feeling very sorry for myself today.

Michelle51012 · 19/08/2014 12:48

Thanks everyone, aw that's rubbish lil hope it clears up quick, do I need to drink water the way u have to for 12 week scan ?

Siarie · 19/08/2014 12:56

I've got a little bit of brown discharge today, it's funny how such a small thing can prompt a really panic response isn't it? I know that brown is fine though, so just hoping it doesn't go red! I'm only 12dpo still so very early, but pretty sure I implanted early at 4/5DPO so it should have had some time to settle in by now.

Siarie · 19/08/2014 13:31

I should add that it seems perfectly normal, today is about the time AF would be due and it's light pink, brown mixed with CM really. But you can't help but just wonder can you?

iamdivergent · 19/08/2014 15:00

Good luck Michelle Flowers

At booking here you just make a mw appt and theyn ask how many weeks you are when you book so they know how long to make the appt for you. They also scan at the hospital nearest as it's in our town; whereas with DD1 I got scanned at a small medical centre as it was about 30miles from the hosp!

Lulu I bought a little outfit at 12wks then nothing else until after 20wks. If he's worried about affording it all, we put a bit aside each week so we had a larger sum to buy more at once iykwim Smile or if he's excited then I don't know what to suggest lol!

Cupcake good that you're still feeling sicky! Good luck with your booking appt, same to Siarie Flowers

Hope everyone else ok - I just called CB to check that they'd received my first load of pee samples, which they have, she asked how i was getting on and if i'd had my peak. When I said I hadn't she has said to start testing from cd8 next cycle to see if I ov early and to contact again if I don't get peak in next cycle. My second box is going out today and I've nearly filled my second lot of pee samples lol
