Hetty I've had one. It's ok. Bit uncomfortable but it did sort it all out. It's usually just for a few abnormal cells rather than anything more sinister

Yes I'm thinking of trying as normal for one more time in August Sunbathing and will then probably book it in. It will cost £80 at the clinic I have contacted which doesn't seem too bad.

teachermummy2b · 29/07/2014 22:38

Hetty ive pm'd you x

HettyB · 29/07/2014 22:50

Thanks so much ladies, you've made me feel much less worried. The letter does say "low grade dyskaryosis" which a google search tells me is hopefully on the better end of things. I hope the appointment comes through soon - even if it hurts I'd rather get it out if the way and find out quickly if there's something wrong. Fingers crossed it's nothing horrible.
Thanks again for your speedy responses - it means so much to have your support. Will man up and stop sobbing now - I'm not even normally a cryer!

My best friend had one HettyB and she said you have local anaesthetic and she didn't feel a thing just took pain killers after as it was a bit sore. She had smears every 6 months for a bit but is now back to 2yearly.

That is a serious age gap to try and keep happy *MrsExtra Ordinary!

So my poas this morning, I'm sure it's there, faint but there!!! I'm in shock! Will do my frer tomorrow

Toot Toot! It's the August bus - here to bring us all our hot, hot, hot summer BFPs!
EnglishGirlsReturned · 30/07/2014 06:04

So my brown spotting yesterday is now full on AF! Feel a fool for hoping it could have been ib. Also think that it probably means that despite a positive OPK I didn't actually ovulate because otherwise my lp has gone from 12 to 9 days! Shock
Should at least get another go on this bus but I'll probably be a quiet now for a while. Another month seems a long time.

Treaclepie19 · 30/07/2014 06:59

Congrats cinnamon!!! :)

HettyB · 30/07/2014 07:16

Yay cinnamon! That's definitely a line!

TheGrandHighWitch · 30/07/2014 07:24

I can see a line there cinnamongreyhound congratulations Smile.

Sorry for your AF EnglishGirlsReturned, my temp is still creeping down so expecting the inevitable for me too. Still at least it removes the temptation to POAS and waste the FRER's I bought from eBay.

Not had to do anything like that HettyB so can't give any advice I am afraid but just wanted to wish you all the best and it sounds like you should be fine.

ChandlersFarang · 30/07/2014 07:38

Don't ever feel foolish English, we all look for symptoms to keep us positive and pressing ahead!! Sorry to hear AF got you.

Cinnamon - amazing news!! Congratulations!! There's been a sudden smattering of BFPs on the July bus, how many in total, does anyone know? I really need to log on on something other than my phone one of these days!

So a rare moment of negativity has crept in to Chandler Town... 3DPO today and last night I came down with the most painful, stinking ear infection - I've never had one before in my life!! I started off thinking, "ooh, maybe this is a sign my immune system's low" (symptom). Lol. But after an urgent trip to the doctor this morning am now am on (appaz pregnancy-safe!) antibiotics, which are making me feel incredibly sick and actively very bowely (TMI?!). I really don't think these are ideal conditions for any blastocyst to thrive!!! ConfusedConfused Was totally on top of my game before this happened!! Gah.

Laying on the sofa watching my UK expat TV package. Can anyone recommend any good UK TV that I should look out for? I'm totally out of touch!! I can watch anything that's been on from today to 5 days ago... Just watched something about Scottish independence and then a London cabbie driving taxis in Fiji. Not doing too badly so far!!

Bon courage to you all today!! x x x

cinnamongreyhound · 30/07/2014 07:44

Sore to head you got af EnglishGirlReturned :( I agree don't feel silly we are all the same with hoping and symptom spotting Thanks

Actually having read back HettyB, the local anaesthetic my friend had was the laser that sunbathingcat mentioned because after the initial biopsy they found precancerous cells so I guess you are talking about the initial investigation, sorry!

Thank you, dh couldn't see it so it's good to have more eyes :)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 30/07/2014 07:48

Congrats Cinnamon.

spinningirl10 · 30/07/2014 07:51

Morning Grin

Yay Cinnamon, fx for frer tomorrow.

English, sorry af has arrived. Another shot on the Aug bus is good but it must be so frustrating not bein sure what's going on with your bodyThanksWine

After my positive opk yesterday we dtd last night. Dp guessed it was that time and it took a while to get things going but we got thereWink hopefully dtd again tonight.

spinningirl10 · 30/07/2014 09:50

MrsE, how are you finding your restricted diet? Hope you're copin ok with it and feeling the benefits.

Mama and writer I you're lurking pop on and update us Grin

Aprilray · 30/07/2014 10:12

I seriously thought about taking today off and jumping on a plane to go and join him Cinnamon - sounds like he is really busy with back to back meetings though so don't think there would be time to DTD...

CD18 here and another low reading though got a +tive looking OPK last night and have now had three high temps! (one due to Wine Winethough) Confused

Thanks for posting that info Lucie I am 33 and on cycle 8 of TTC #1 and have been thinking about getting tests done privately (we got DH tested and he is fine) going to try one more cycle I think.....fx

Hetty so sorry to hear about your smear result, how long will you have to wait for the colposcopy? hopefully not too long and it will turn out to be something easily remedied - sending hugs x x

Aprilray · 30/07/2014 10:22

I seem to have posted having missed a whole page of posts- oops!

Cinnamon I can see a line!! How exciting, congratulations Smile what are your BFP stats?

English so sorry to hear that AF has arrived, it is especially hard on the cycles where we get positive symptoms, don't beat yourself up about it - treat yourself to a glass (or more) of Wine this evening.

Chandlers sorry to hear about you ear infection, try and stay positive!! I watched an interesting program about the red arrows on Sunday night (been a bit obsessed with them since I saw them perform at an air show in my home town) there was an awful programme on Monday called blinging up baby- avoid that!!

ChandlersFarang · 30/07/2014 11:25

Good work spinning! Fx!!! Wink

April that's so annoying that your DH is away for the key moment. I'd have considered travelling too! Lol well you shouldn't count this cycle for your stats then WinkGrin

Cheers for the TV tips!! Blinging Up Baby - urg I can imagine what that's like!!! Will keep an eye out for the arrows too!! So before you replied I'd already got through Superstar DJs with Annie Mac (uninspiring), Secret Eaters (absolutely terrible bit of schadenfreude TV), Heston's Kitchen (as if anyone's going to attempt any of his recipes?! Dry ice?!), a documentary on Scottish independence (just cos my brain was melting) and now on my second episode of Phil Spencer's Secret Agent (making me terrified about selling my flat when I get back to UK!!). And guess what - I haven't thought about TTC for HOURS!! Screw going to work (too much access to google...) THIS is how to pass the cycles...!! WinkShockGrin (could do without the earache tho..!)...

Coralcolour · 30/07/2014 11:33

Still no AF and I finished the provera on Friday, I was so sure I would be in a cycle by now Sad

Never thought I'd say this but hurry up AF I want to start the clomid and ttc

ChandlersFarang · 30/07/2014 12:07

Coral in sorry I don't know your backstory... How come you're about to start clomid? X x

Sorry to hear about your ear infection ChandlersFarang, I've only ever had one in my adult life and it sucked big time!! You're in pain, dizzy and can't hear properly! Don't think negatively about it affecting yor chances though :) I'm kind of addicted to secret eaters although I shout at the tv all the way through!!!!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/07/2014 13:04
