2 DPO here. The 2 week wait feels endless!

Sarah just morning temps which rise after ovulation and stay higher during the luteal phase then stay higher (pg) or return to normal (not) around time AF is due. I had massive flushing temps last month and convinced myself I was pg but alas I was just run down and promptly came out with TWO cold sores. Not attractive!

Sarahg1 · 04/07/2014 14:06

Ah well all my symptom spotting was totally pointless, I think AF just got me a whole 6 days early - it's not quite full flow yet but lighter. Give it time. Sitting at my desk trying not to cry!

Fingers crossed for the rest of you, I hope we are not having the same convo next month!!!

icy121 · 04/07/2014 18:21

sarah that's rubbish - sorry to hear it. I guess nothing to do. It suck it up and try again.

I've now decided that this spotting was actually period come early and light. My periods are usually v v scanty (docs reaction to that and my 38 day plus cycle length was "oh aren't you lucky" not exactly reassuring, cow) so there's every chance that it's not spotting, it's period. I guess I'll know next week when I poas. Not hopeful tho :-(

Fuck ttc. It's crap!

MrsVonBlack13 · 04/07/2014 19:54

sarahg1 that's rubbish. I think we all know how you feel. The only words I can give you are although it may seem like your climbing a mountain, just think of the view from the top! Xx

nomdemere · 04/07/2014 20:22

Really sorry to hear that Sarah. So frustrating.

Icy - that doesn't sound very helpful of the doctor, let us know what happens next week.

I am feeling less hopeful at the omen, though for no especial reason.

Well I did POas this morning. Nothing again from first response.

sideshowbob2 · 05/07/2014 07:48

i'm on the 2ww, was implanted with 2 embryo's on 30th june, the weekends or days when i'm not so busy or have too much thinking time are the worst but i find talking to them a great distraction, i'm due to test on the 10th july but my best is on holiday and she has been with me as a great support and lucky charm, so i am waiting till saturday to do the test as i want to make sure i do everything right!!
at the moment i have sore tummy muscles, some weird pains at the top of my thigh bones, very tired and off all sweet food!!

Didyouevah · 05/07/2014 09:40

Oh wow - that's got to be so tough. Waiting and then waiting some more!!

Nightowlagain · 05/07/2014 21:02

Hi again, I've just noticed white stuff comes out of one of my nipples (tmi) when I squeeze, do you guys think this is a positive sign? Or normal? I suppose I don't go around trying it that often, but the only other time I've ever noticed it I was pg last time.

I'm 8dpo, and still hoping but trying to not overthink. Luckily we are going away for a few days from Monday, so I'll be busier than usual and not obsess quite so much.

How are you all getting on? Anyone close to POAS yet?

Rainbow555 · 05/07/2014 23:05

I cheated and couldn't wait till Tuesday but seems my 2ww might be over!!

Anyone want to join me on the 2ww?
Didyouevah · 05/07/2014 23:28

Oh rainbow that's definitely a 2nd line!

Didyouevah · 05/07/2014 23:41

Has anyone gone completely off sex during the 2ww? I can't explain it but I'm just not interested.

Dtd earlier today and it was good but - I dunno - I'm just distracted.

I had a chemical pregnancy in the autumn. We found out on the Saturday and had er... Very energetic sex later. On the Monday I started to bleed and then by Tuesday it was all over. It was so early that many women wouldn't have even known they were pregnant, but I was real upset (so was DH)

I think subconsciously I'm worrying that if an embryo is trying to implant the. It should be left in peace!

I'm crazy aren't i? Confused

lilyp2014 · 05/07/2014 23:43

Hi, would you mind if I joined in? Im in the tww on 5dpo today and going mad reading symptoms and just general reading anything to do with ttc! Dh tells me this is not a hobby lol but it feels like it. I've had mild cramps since 1dpo, been more tired than usual and vivid dreams every night. Who knows, I probably have dreams every night but now i'm noticing! Af is due 13th July I think, (still getting used to post mirena cycle.) so going to try to hold on til the 12th to poas, but who am I trying to kid as I have a stash of the internet cheapies! Hoping if I join you ladies, we will keep each other strong there. Congratulations to Rainbow!

LondonBlondie · 06/07/2014 16:58

Hi Lily, reading your post sounds exactly the same as me! I'm 13 dpo so thinking of testing tomorrow, or perhaps just waiting to see if AF turns up! But been feeling soooo tired, mild cramps, loads of bloating, vivid dreams!

Fingers crossed these are good signs and not signs of AF on her way!

Hi London,

Have you not tested at all yet? You have done well if not! Hoping you get your BFP tomorrow! I will then be feeling hopful.

Im 6dpo today and still having the cramps, more dreams and boobs are getting tender now, but also, sorry if TMI, I squeezed my left nipple and a clearish brown liquid came out. Only a small amount but I can't say I've had that before? Could it be a symptom? I have 1 DS but he is 7 so breastfeeding was a lonnnnngg time ago. Hoping its a good sign. :)

Let us know how you get one testing!

LondonBlondie · 07/07/2014 09:59

Hi Lily, I cracked and did an intenet cheapie test last night which was a BFN unfortunately. However, I will test again later in the week as it was really the wrong time of day to test (had been drinking a tonne of water all day so everything was probably very watered down....TMI!!) plus it might still be a few days early as my cycle isnt that regular, so I will let you know!

However, been feelign pretty grumpy and tearful in the alst 24 hours so that might just be a sign of AF on her way!

Interestign about the nipple liquid! I just gave mine a squeeze but nothing happened!! :)

nomdemere · 07/07/2014 10:49

Oh bloody hell (literally) - some brown spotting today. Much too early for AF - that's still 10 days away. Not feeling good about it.

Sorry, been lurking for the past week, damn paper demanding my attention (Sarah I too am totally lame at crafts, & also, going by this week, lame at paper-writing too, submitted to supervisor 10pm last night, was due Tues!!)

Talking of due, so sorry for those of you AF has hit - onwards & upwards!!
I am starting to really hate how pregnancy & AF symptoms seem to be BASICALLY THE SAME. Fairly sure she's coming to get me though - due between tomorrow-Thurs, got a BFN on an IC yesterday & been getting V grumpy at DP with cramps & sore nips starting up as well.
I know it's not over until AF sings, but really thinking Im out this month

PerpetualStudent · 07/07/2014 12:06

PS Lily, never had nipple liquid either - totally going to pop to the loos & give 'em an experimental squeeze in a bit though (ah, the glamour of TTC!)

LondonBlondie · 07/07/2014 12:25

Ha, PerpetualStudent we are in the same boat there, just waiting for AF to hit at some point this week, BFN yesterday on the IC and getting all confused about which symptoms are meaningful and which are just red herrings!! Good to know I'm not alone, but really hope that at least one of us is lucky!

Fingers crossed!

PerpetualStudent · 07/07/2014 12:42

Thanks LondonBlondie - fingers crossed indeed. It is so stressful isn't it?
I'd been on the pill for nearly 12 years when I started TTC in April, so still getting used to what's 'normal' for me - feel like such a numpty for not even being able to understand my own body!!

nomdemere · 07/07/2014 13:08

Been looking up implantation bleeding and it seems to happen later than I thought (10-14 days) which means there's a chance that's what's going on at the moment. Caved in and POAS, which was negative, but it's too early anyway (wasn't going to test until the 12th), so still waiting to see what happens...

OP posts:
Capybara · 07/07/2014 14:17

nomdemere, I think implantation bleeding can happen any time between 6 and 12 days, and actually even earlier/later in some cases. I had a textbook implantation bleed with DS1 - it was on or around day 7 and was old blood (brown) rather than the brighter red blood that I usually get at the start of a period (sorry if TMI!) A week later I got a dark and instantaneous BFP. So actually I think what you're describing is a good sign!

nomdemere · 07/07/2014 14:43

Thanks Capy. I really just want to fast forward a week or more so that I can do a definitive test!
