2 DPO here. The 2 week wait feels endless!

Hahaha crazycat that just made me snigger on the train. It was more that I think my symptoms are germ related rather than baby related unfortunately. I think my cramps have been going on too long for them to be implantation .... boooooo!

Nightowlagain · 01/07/2014 16:54

I'm symptom spotting like mad as well even though I am trying not to!

I have sore boobs which I'm convinced I never get at this time in my cycle, only 4dpo, but maybe I do and I'm wishful thinking. I had a horrible cycle two ago which involved a late period, what seemed like it could be implantation bleeding, and general actual signs! But no joy. So I try really hard not to get my hopes up. It's hard though!

Wishing good luck to everyone x

nomdemere · 02/07/2014 11:34

Bloody hell, can't believe I'm still only 6 DPO. Has time slowed to a standstill? I really want to begin testing, but it is obviously pointless for at least another week. Grrr.

How is everyone else getting on?

Sarahg1 · 02/07/2014 12:22

I'm the same as you nom. .. This month is dragging!!!!! I think it's because I know next month will be difficult (we are getting married right on ov time... and I suspect too busy in the run up and too drunk on the night) and then we are into September and I so desperately wanted to be preg by my last bday but OH said no so in sept it'll be my next bday so a whole year will have passed. so hurry the hell up please and be a good day for testing Smile

I really need to get some hobbies that don't involve symptom spotting or calendar watching...

nomdemere · 02/07/2014 13:30

I really need to get some hobbies that don't involve symptom spotting or calendar watching...

ha ha, me too, Sarah. I keep re-counting the days to see if I can test yet, when I know perfectly well that I can't. Ridiculous.

Exciting about your wedding! At least if you are not pg, you can enjoy some champagne (was pg at mine, so couldn't!)

Ah man, I feel your pain. Im only 8DPO (FF says I am 7, but it is

PerpetualStudent · 02/07/2014 14:49

Sorry phone messed up, should be:

is LYING!)

This TWW feels like it has been going on forever. I have a deadline for sumitting a paper, but right now have more to report on ovulation stats than anything else.

Can we test yet?!

nomdemere · 02/07/2014 15:15

ha perpetual, i have a thesis to finish which is not getting done. grr!

OP posts:
Sarahg1 · 02/07/2014 16:12

oh maaan, now I feel even more inferior. I don't have anything as constructive as a thesis or paper to distract me. I'm passing my working day downloading vintage sewing patterns and researching the local WI group that I signed up to at a vintage fair on Sunday...

Obivously, these are symptoms that I am destined to be a perfect 1950s mother with a touch of 2014 independence thrown in, and all I really need to kick start this fantasy life is a fertilised egg.

(I promise I am a well educated and independent woman in real life. I understand the significance of the suffragettes and all they fought for, and I follow politics and love literature and the arts. But I also really really like sewing and jam making and as a curvy girl I am partial to a well fitted 1950s dress. And also reallllly want a baby. Oh god modern life is one big hypocrisy. I reiterate, men just don't realise how easy they have it.)

Sarahg1 · 02/07/2014 22:23

Oh god I have the worst stomach cramps, AF not due til next Thursday but they've been getting progressively worse since sun I will literally be amazed of AF doesn't arrive in the next few hours Sad

nomdemere · 03/07/2014 08:09

Sarah, I am envious of your craft ability. I have the sewing skills of an emu.

OP posts:
Sarahg1 · 03/07/2014 08:14

Haha I'm still learning. I'm hoping that by learning to make lots of beautiful clothes that are perfectly tailored sod's law will then kick in, make me preg and thus unable to wear any of them.

I did say I was clutching at straws...

nomdemere · 03/07/2014 08:57

Brilliant idea Sarah. I am going to add lots of sloe gin (my favourite) to the online food order for our holiday in 2 weeks. That will ensure that I am pg can't drink it. Foolproof plan!

OP posts:
Sarahg1 · 03/07/2014 10:31

Haha I also have over 300 (!) bottles of wine and champagne in the garage for the wedding so there will probably be loads leftover. alcohol plus small clothes has to be a foolproof plan. fingers crossed for us all...

however my ovia app told me to test today. BFN. sob. However despite the app and being 12 dpo AF isn't due for another week so I'm praying it's just too early. hmm.

nomdemere · 03/07/2014 10:48

Could well be too early, Sarah. Did you test first thing in the morning?

OP posts:
icy121 · 03/07/2014 12:45

Hi can I join this?

I'm in 2ww, 6dpo or so, period due on sat 12.

Had some brown cm yday and I'm spotting now (at least, I think it's spotting; my periods are so light this could be it..) and AF cramps except much milder.

FFCKING hope this is it... Never had spotting before. Ever. Also I've caught my OHs cold. Usually my constitution is ox-like.

Sarah - I'm with you on clothes/Sod's law. Last 2 months I've spent hundreds of quid in Reiss and LK Bennett on suit & dresses which fit me perfectly, if slightly snugly, now! I've got my current body size through a lot of hard gym work, so really the only way to go is up. C'mon Sod, gimme what you've got!

Sarahg1 · 03/07/2014 15:13

Welcome icy spotting sounds positive!! fingers crossed!! I wish I could say the same about my body, I lost a load of weight and put it all back on and keep looking at the rails of lovely clothes that I can't wear with a nostalgic grin, but it doesn't stop me eating crisps!

oh nom I do hope you're right... but honestly don't think this is my month. I keep getting excited when I feel a bit icky, especially earlier when a can of diet coke made me queasy as I LOVE DC but I think it was because I ate a disgustingly sweet cereal bar a few minutes before. And when I felt nauseous on the train the last few mornings.. but it literally lasts for a couple of seconds so I think it's the heat/the fact I'm always in a hideous rush/the train was so busy I was tryinig to read whilst standing up on a packed train and being thrown about. sob.

How are all you intellects getting on with your theses/papers?

MrsVonBlack13 · 03/07/2014 15:40

Hello all, first post so I'm all new to the mumsnet! I'm 3 Dpo. Cycle month 9!!! Roll on tww.

My ov cramps are ridiculous this month due to reflexology. They have never been this noticeable in all my days and it's on both sides :) fx this is our month and fx for everyone else too x

Didyouevah · 03/07/2014 22:43

Hello can I join?

Long term mner - new name!

Opk said I ovulated Monday 23/6. AF due 6/7.

Am convinced I'm pregnant.

Back ache, cramps, change in cm, nausea at night...

This is no3 but with new husband.

Took me ages to come to term with the idea. Now I just want to get on with it!

zoobaby · 04/07/2014 00:33

Hello ladies, mind if I pull up a chair? Think I ovulated around Fri 26 June so hitting the half way mark now. Time goes by so slowly when you're hanging out for news. No symptoms. Last time my only real symptoms were temperature and sore boobs. I'm still BFing DS so the boobs are getting some release and there goes my potential symptom.

I've been distracting myself with that game 2048 and it's worked a treat. Haha. Too bad I "won" it last night. Back to MN then. Wish I could sew or knit or do something equally creative. Alas nothing.

All the talk about cheese got me remembering that DP had the most vivid dreams/hallucinations brought on by excessive cheese consumption in France on two separate trips Smile

Didyouevah · 04/07/2014 09:48

I've just got a first response... Am debating whether I need a wee.

Sarahg1 · 04/07/2014 10:08

ooh MrsV I had reflexology this week and am starting a proper course of "Fertility" reflexology when I'm back from honeymoon... how long have you been having it? is it fertility specific? I'm undecided on my views... I'm also having fertility enhancing yoga sessions when I'm back. I thought I'd try the natural approach first!

Welcome Zoo.. when you say temperature with your last one what do you mean, were you really hot? I've had weird temps recently, hideous hot flushes to the point of not being able to stand the duvet on me then one evening was freezing and had the elec blanket on so thought I had a virus or something. Then today and yesterday a few sneezes... think it's the beginnings of a cold but am keen to clutch at any straw haha.

Didyouevah if you're due on 6/7th then a FR should be able to pick it up now? What sort of change in CM have you seen? I've had a lot of ... and i'm not really sure how to describe this... kind of white and creamy but quite a lot, enough to make my knickers damp. Again, clutching at straws... Keep us posted and good luck!!

Didyouevah · 04/07/2014 11:42

Well stupidly I used a First Response test but not my first wee of the day.

Cm... Well... Loads of it and like lotion too. Keep thinking AF has arrived.

I'm driving myself (and DH) crazy with my symptom spotting.

Sarahg1 · 04/07/2014 12:05

Try again tmrw with your first wee... I have everything crossed for you! lotion is a great way to describe the cm that's exactly what mine is like!

I really wish I had more patience, getting bored of all this now and tbh feel like AF will arrive anytime now nearly a week early. sodding periods.

MrsVonBlack13 · 04/07/2014 12:16

I'm only 4 days past ov. This getting a bit tense!!!! Not that it helps but I'm signed off work and have builders in just now. Must focus on how pretty my new kitchen will be :) that and getting this baby blanket finished. Knitting ahoy!
