Hi all

Sorry to those who have had afs. Horrible gutted feeling is not nice and if you can, just see past it and look positive to next month.

I am on CD14 and starting ovulation sticks tomorrow morning as should be ovulating on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon - not sure exactly which day as cycle lengths vary each month! But some bad news for me, DH is going away tonight and not returning until late Sunday night so probably won't be my luckly month.

Angsthase · 12/09/2006 14:39

Boo Hiss Endless. That sucks.

Good for you staying positive. I'm starting to give up hope tbh. In 6 weeks it will be 2 years since I started this whole journey. And to think I delayed for 5 months back then coz I didn't want to spoil my trip to India LOL. Hindsight is such a luxury!

MrsMcJnr · 12/09/2006 15:26

Hey Angsthase - don't think of it like that, your body has been through a lot in those months and you will come through this and hold that baby in your arms - especially now your body is being treated like a temple

Good luck to all those ladies still in with a chance this month - there are actually quite a few, exciting!!

andi0411 · 12/09/2006 16:23

Hi ladies!

Mrsmc thanks for the babydust..much appreciated. xx

Cd14 today- same as Endless but I'm not sure when I ov so have been bd'ing every other day since 8 and will do so until 20- now that should cover all bases i hope!! Endless -soory your OH is away till Sunday- you're still in with a chance though my friend.

Angsth- I know how you feel about the time spent delaying pg- when I think back sometimes I just shudder- however i wasn't in the right place then so maybe it's all for a reason [sighs philosophically] sp?

Also wanted to say this is the first month I have used grapefruit juice and wow- what a diff i have noticed already and i like the taste. I do hope it helps...

Good luck to all of us this month!!!

desperate2bmum · 12/09/2006 16:53

hiya girls.

thanks mrsmcjnr for all your babydust im sure hopefully it will help a few of us!!

cd12 for me today - we are out tonight its dps birthday and i have a got somthing special lined up for him but il have to tell u all about it tomorrow!

me and dp have both been on holiday from work this week and bding like rabbits not for the ttc cause but beacuse we want to! its suprising how randy you get when you have the energy and not tired out from work!

havnt been using ov wticks yet keep forgetting and my thermometer from ebay i have decided doesnt work gives different readings all the time and didnt even come with instructions. 1st reading was 35.7 then 32.2??!! so have given up on that for now.

angsthase - so sorry to hear you have been trying for such a long time cannot imagine how you feel...but try and stay positive especially because when you think its all over....nature soon has a way of suprising you.

well im gonna love you and leave you all.

oh 1 quick q does it matter when you bd as in time of day? usually with us its in the morning i just wondered if you have to vary it a little?

xx

MrsMcJnr · 12/09/2006 17:10

Hey Desperate - sounds like you have a great attitude this month, all the best. Agree that the thermometer is shot - even my temps aren't that low! I agree with work getting in the way of your sex life! Re BD only time of day thing I have heard is that it is a good plan to BD the morning after you OV and even the one after that as egg could still be viable. All the best!

coggy · 12/09/2006 19:50

I really liked being touched by your special fairy wand MrsMc.......thank you.

I am getting cross with my temps......they don't seem to mean anything!!!

Babymad4num3 · 13/09/2006 07:44

desperate2bmum how are you doing!

How is every one and how is the TTC going???

((((babydust to all of you))))

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 10:37

You are very welcome Coggy - I gave you an extra strong dose! what's up with your temps then? On the ovusoft website, you can see lots of peoples charts and examples of what charts should look like for different things. It is quite interesting (funnily enough, none of the goodies look like mine!!)

coggy · 13/09/2006 12:57

Well this morning it was 36.79 and I am only CD8 and definitely not ovulated.

After ov last month I went up a bit but not a lot and then when AF came I was still around 36.69.

I seem to be totally random....and like yourself....I don't look like any charts at all!!!

I think that maybe having a hugely thick duvet in this hot weather has got more to do with it than my hormones!!!!!!

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 13:54

Right girls. Need your expertise...

CD23 and still gots lots of CM every day. Seems to have been like this from around CD15/16.

Haven't started temping yet, so don't really know if / when I ov'd. We just bd'd from CD9-16.

Normally cycles were 28/29 days before mc. The 2 since mc were 14, 31 and 31.

What could having all this CM at this stage mean?

Confoozed.

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 13:56

ddrrr 3 since...

Also - did the whole EPO CD1-10 / Grapefruit juice and cough med's from CD9-17

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 14:11

Whatever it is definately living up to my pseudonym of Juicy Lucy LOL

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:30

Are you sure it's now you being Juicy Lucy and not just sperm dribble???!!!!

Sorry......I'm sure I could put it more delicately..but I didn't want too!!!!

If you've done a lot of BDing...what you think is CM is prob actually sperm.

I love all this knicker watching!!!!!

Are you getting excited this month?
How long are you regular cycles?

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:31

Ooops!
Now read your post properly and you've put your cycle lengths!!!

Sorry!!!
Must concentrate harder Coggy!!!

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 15:04

Hey Coggy - Your temp is within the normal preovulatory range. It sounds quite high to me but that is only because mine have not been that high even after OV.

Odd isn't it? I always thought I was a "hot" person, I flush easily and don't need many clothes (!) but my waking temps are usually around 35.9c pre OV. Maybe duvets etc don't affect the basel temp?

My temp does stay higher for the first day and sometimes after during AF (well, around 36.3c - high for me), I read that it is usually the result of residual progestrone from the last cycle or fluctuating hormones that occur during AF. Don't think they are anything to worry about.

Do you think I should be worried about my low temps? Weschler says that lower than average waking temps throughout your cycle can be due to a possible thyroid problem. That said, I had mine tested 2 years ago because I thought it was on the blick then (had ben very ill) and it was ok but I know things can change.

I don't have the symptoms of hypothyroidism - apart from prolonged phases of fertile quality CF (well, creamy not EW - TMI sorry) but this is only my 4th cycle of charting. Think I'll just keep an eye on it for the next couple of months.

Are you charting CM too? (sorry can't remember )

Hi Angsthase - CM could be caused by high levels of oestrogen or a surge of it during LP (but that would give you a day or two of creamy CM)? could also be thyroid related? Might be worth you temping to see what your temps are like.

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 15:47

Coggy - Does sperm hang around inside for a week? DH left on the 7th, so unless his little soldiers have been battling to stay inside, don't think it can be that

MrsMJ - never had thyroid probs, but do plan to start temping if AF as expected next week.

andi0411 · 13/09/2006 16:49

Juicy Lucy that would be some sperm!!!

Do all you ladies temp now- I've just started and my temps seem a bit odd/random- also my cm seems much improved by the grapefruit juice - before this I really never noticed any/ much.

Perhaps I'm just a dry old hag naturally. Can other lubricants affect the sperm reaching the egg- does anyone know. TMI ALERT but dp and i have been known to use lubricants now and then in the past...oh god is this the reason why do you think? Panic panic- oh I'm just going mad ignore me.

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 16:58

Hi Andi - Don't worry about the temps, you can only see a pattern when you have a few, wood for trees scenario!

Great news about the CM, hope I see an improvement this cycle too. I do remember getting EWCM in the past, let's hope it comes back again!

Re lubricants - yes they can kill sperm as I understand it. Best to use pre-seed which is sperm friendly.

andi0411 · 13/09/2006 17:25

Hi Mrsmc thanks for the info - mucho appreciated.
No more lubricant- will by pre-seed or even better insist on hours of foreplay in the name of baby making [ ho hum...worth a try ]

How's you?

coggy · 13/09/2006 21:10

Angsthase....no....I take it all back.....you really are Juicy Lucy!!!
Didn't realise that you hadn't be 'at it' for a few days!!!

Anyway...don't know why I'm giving any CM advice.
I have been charting mine MrsMc and for the past two days it's beenm clear but not at all stretchy - why don't I fit into any cateorgory???!!!!

My lowest ever temp is 36.4 !!
My highest was 36.9.
But there is no major thermal shift after ov.
I will keep an eye on it again this month - only done it for one cycle so far.

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 09:45

Well, nothing I read in Toni Wechsler made me feel positive about all the CM going on.

Will just have to wait and see if AF arrives I suppose.

Going to start temping come AF.

Who else is around today?

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 09:58

Sometimes reading the book can make you panic that all sorts of things are wrong (like me and the thyroid thing - didn't mean to offend with that suggestion for you Angsthase, it was just in my own mind. Hope you are still my buddy!.)

I seem to have CF most of the time and it's never stretchy really. Re your temps Coggy, maybe you are just one of those people that Toni talks about who does not shift much which is not great if you are using FAM for birth control (as you then have to rely on CF alone) but not such an issue for TTC.

Maybe we are just all special cases......

Doing well thanks Andi

coggy · 14/09/2006 09:59

It makes me smile now when I see your name!!!!

I'm around...working on the PC but keep sneaking a look on here too!!!!

Don't want to get your hopes up but...you can get extra CM when you're pg.
I had LOADS at the end of last month AND I was several days later with AF than expected but AF still came....

coggy · 14/09/2006 10:02

Hmmmm....all special cases?
I think you're right MrsMC!!

Temp a few days ago was 36.8.....not much space above that as the temp chart on the software only goes up to 37.....think I may be off the chart if I ov???!!!!!
