Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

My name's Icy and I'm an abuser of TTC accoutrements.

TTC #1 since Dec 2013
I'm 27
OH is an oldie (45)
He's got 2 kids, my turn please
No pets. Boo.

I've taken my TTC accoutrements addiction so far I've just spend £200 for some Italian woman at a fertility clinic to stick a sonar wand up me and have a poke around. Turns out I'm fine (I've got a print out full of CODES. Things like 'Colour Doppler score: 2 (minimal flow) and 'Endo-myometrial junction: regular' - it could mean ANYTHING) and the reason for my 40 day cycles is just my body's a bit shit. Given ShitBod, and the LENGTH of TIME in between having a go at it, I'm a bit scared about not tracking fertility dueness.

But at any rate, this month is going to be just shagging (well, apart from the fertility testing, vitamins, no caffeine etc). Doing the science hasn't helped!

littleluna89 · 18/06/2014 10:42

ness I have stopped playing pretty much! Had a bit of a bust up with one of the other women in the guild in real life which made things awkward in game whilst I was carrying DD so I took a long hiatus whilst things calmed down.

I did go back to it about 6 months back or so, but it turns out that DH and I can't both play computer games as we start fighting about who's turn it is do do basic household chores and look after Alex, makes for a quieter life if I let him play and get on with being a domestic goddess :p but it works out ok, because it means I can guilt trip him into letting me go out with friends more often!!

I'm happy to do role call!

Hi icy and ouch £200! We need to get you away from the pricey science and back to JSing! Think of everything for the baby to be you could buy with the cost of all the pricey science stuff!!

Pisghetti · 18/06/2014 11:11

Hi Icy

Kato an apology - I appeared to have used a sarcastic face when saying sorry about AF (puts me in mind of Joey in Friends doing air quotes at inappropriate moments...) It was my first time using the app and the face looked miffed rather than sarky. I will avoid app embellishments in future!

Out of curiosity (I'm still some way from needing to know) what are the sticks of choice for peeing on? Are there some you avoid or that come recommended?

RPopz · 18/06/2014 13:41

Icy I recognise your name from somewhere??? Do I know you from another fred? x

RPopz · 18/06/2014 13:42

Perhaps an impatient ladies fred?? Grin

Lala5 · 18/06/2014 13:49

Hi icy (waves)!

littleluna89 · 18/06/2014 13:51

Viroids I've had a potentially grim thought, do you think a mooncup would have a chance of increasing the chances of conceiving if used after JSing?

lildottie · 18/06/2014 14:18

PiS what kind of sticks? opks or hpts?

Luna I have no idea, but if that's what I think it is I daren't Google! then I doubt it. just like standing on ur head makes no difference either and I've all but tried that one!

littleluna89 · 18/06/2014 14:28

lil it's a rubbery cup on a stick that you use in place of a tampon during the ERTD, you regularly take it out, give it a wash and pop it back in (sounds grim in the extreme, but it's quite cost effective, and better for the environment etc etc so it works for me)

TheSarcasticFringehead · 18/06/2014 14:36

Hi icy Smile

I need to get to work, so this post will be short (DS woke me up half an hour ago, it's 6:30am here and I'm no good at mornings!) but I don't think a mooncup WOULD help, but I googled it and saw it on loads of pregnancy forums and a few people reccomend it there. Worth a try, I guess?

efilbean · 18/06/2014 14:43

My DP and I haven't had much time together this week - conflicting schedules, blah blah blah - but he's off work on Friday and I'm not in until 4pm so much lying-in and cape-donning to be had with any luck Grin

gaggiagirl · 18/06/2014 14:53

What a beautiful day! The sun is tropical!

Me and DP both have colds. We've kind of managed a snotty snog. Can't quite manage a snotty shag though.

Im twoting

Butterpuff · 18/06/2014 15:51

gaggi shame your OH half has a cold too, or in the twot you could call the snot as a pg symptom.

Pisghetti · 18/06/2014 16:01

HPTs lil I'm going to try to avoid OPKs if I can.

I'm really going to have to find my mooncup. It disappeared during the house move (I wasn't using it at the time...) so lord only knows where it ended up. I'll probably find it neatly put away with the egg cups or something.

efilbean · 18/06/2014 16:03

Urg, I find summer colds the worst, gaggia. My sinuses don't react well to hot weather in any case.
Wishing you both a speedy recovery.

gaggiagirl · 18/06/2014 16:08

I really want disco pants now kato
I've got some tight jeans that DP admires me in but they are such a bugger to get out of it involves much ankle pulling from DP while I cling onto the headboard to anchor myself.

butter my nose ran like mad when I was preg with DD. This is soooo definitely a cold. Boooooooo.

Butterpuff · 18/06/2014 16:33

Booo indeed gaggia

Anyone every heard of headaches as early pg symptoms? I'm getting bored with the twot and thought I might start symptom spotting to entertain myself.

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 18/06/2014 17:26

Hello new folks (and feel better soon Gaggia).

Aarrrgggh, cramps all day. And no idea when AF might be due although it is four weeks since our false start, thinking about it. I so hope she comes, if she's coming, so we can start over. Can't be pg anyway because it would scupper the surprise (and hugely exciting) trip that DH sprung on me yesterday.

I love a bit of symptom spotting but I don't dare spot any of my own. Headaches definitely count. Good luck all twotting. :)

ZylaB · 18/06/2014 17:55

Also twotting, and trying not to invent symptoms cos I'm only a couple of days into it!
Distract me!

Also lovely and sunny here, shame got to work for the rest of the week :/

aylesburyduck · 18/06/2014 18:06

Yo lovely viroids!! A very unmotivated Duck here. I need to go and tidy up the dumping ground spare room in a vain attempt to find the toothbrush charger which has been missing since we moved.

Mr Duck is frantic about it and I am apparently the finder of such things. I must find it!!!

We were out last night and some friends were talking about getting married. Mr Duck has now decided that we can start planning like I actually stoppedGrin ! the wedding.

RPopz · 18/06/2014 18:10

Woohoo! I love a good wedding Ayles Grin

I think there is an actual conception purpose version of the mooncup I've read about on here somewhere!!! I'll try and think what its called.

Butterpuff · 18/06/2014 18:24

ZylaB for future reference (not that I will need it as obviously bfp is just around the corner) when is an acceptable time to start symptom spotting? NHS says after the witch is late........google search tells me around three days before O Shock

Pisghetti · 18/06/2014 18:30

Isn't it the soft cup popz?

ZylaB · 18/06/2014 18:33

butter I don't know! But some of us do it lots while twotting ;)

RPopz · 18/06/2014 18:38

Yeah something like that Pis - I seem to remember people use them when doing artificial insemination....
