Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

lala don't worry too much, especially if u are a late icer. I am too and I've done that before. just do it tomorrow. I put cbfm in top of my alarm clock so I have to touch it when alarm goes off. I've also been known to leave the test stick on the loo lid to remind me! I found it didn't ask until cd9 after the first cycle.

yes we get to try again this month. last month was hsg so we weren't allowed to. and we have our consultant appt in less than 2weeks so hoping if we don't get a bfp this month at least we will have some answers.

RPopz · 06/07/2014 09:57

Someone said it doesn't really have to be first first fmu either... as long as you do it similar times everyday? I kept mine by my bed too so it was in my face on a morning!!

Pisghetti · 06/07/2014 10:08

BFN - spent a good ten minutes squinting at it willing a line to appear. There was something..... Then I realised it was lighter than the area around it so it must have been the unreacted test strip. Ah well - just have to wait for the witch to roll in so I can get back in the saddle.

Purplecircle · 06/07/2014 11:13

Lala I'm on CD14 which is why none of this makes sense really.
I've been having symptoms since Monday.
I think if I am, I've iced late last month.
Had signs of icing this weekend too.
I have NFI what's going on so I'm just waiting it out.
This morning I had a metallic taste in my mouth as well as all the rest. Had the migraine from hell this week and didn't dare take anything for it so I've really suffered
I feel the same as when I had a chem so it's probably another one but can't rule anything out

Purplecircle · 06/07/2014 11:13

Bugger about the bfn Pis

lildottie · 06/07/2014 14:05

sorry PiS

purple when u say iced late last month, did AF not show? I'm somewhat confused! and if u think it could be last month iced late why and more to the point how have u not poas yet! lol

Lala5 · 06/07/2014 16:04

Sorry pis about bfn but it ain't over til witch shows her face! Wink

purple I'm confused - cd14 is early to be showing symptoms? Do u mean icing symptoms?

gaggiagirl · 06/07/2014 16:14

Aw sorry pis hope the witch doesn't show her face.

My cape is on, we are child free today and DP has been playing with his car engine for two hours! Nob!

Purplecircle · 06/07/2014 18:31

I know...I'm confused too. It doesn't make any sense
I started having loads of symptoms on day 8 this month.
Witch visited on day 1 but was 3 days late
I got told that once you hit 40 icing gets out of whack and could be much later, or it's so late that you miss a month and it's into the next month. This is why twins are more common in older women.
It's not unheard of for both ovaries to go in the same month
I've also got PCOS which could impact it too.
So I'm now on cd15 but I can't POAS for nearly 2 weeks

I really don't think I'm inventing symptoms but it could well be another chem

littleluna89 · 06/07/2014 19:07

Sorry about the bfn pis

Ertd should have been here today assuming a normal 28 day cycle but it's a big fat no show, though given I'm 6(9?) months post depo I'm not letting myself get too hopeful, test during the week was a bfn, don't really want to waste another test. Sense of smell is still on overdrive, almost threw octotunes of of the car on the way home the damned thing smelt so strong!

lildottie · 06/07/2014 19:21

surely if u had AF purple it can't be pgncy. sounds like u must be getting ov symptoms

Lala5 · 06/07/2014 19:37

purple I think lil has a good point - these sound like ov symptoms. If you got af it could likely be you're icing soon. Have you anyone you could ask about your cycles -I am so sorry I can't remember if you're already getting advice?

Lala5 · 06/07/2014 19:38

luna POAS!!!!

couldbeanyone · 06/07/2014 19:46

Lala it's been OK having horse and child. I work part time and with that, a little help from family, nursery and dh, I've been able to ride regularly. Care wise I've had some help from a friend or assisted diy at different points. I know plenty of mums who do keep their horse, it involves a lot of organisation but lovely to have your own time. Own horse has combination of high suspensory issue and foot issue (in different legs). Currently stuffing his face in the field!!

Purplecircle · 06/07/2014 20:41

What are the symptoms of icing? I only know about pant snot and I've not had any.
I've got nausea, headache, strong sense of smell, exhaustion, and today a metallic taste

Pisghetti · 06/07/2014 20:43

Are you sure it was definitely the witch purple and not breakthrough bleeding?

www.babycentre.co.uk/x553485/is-it-possible-to-be-pregnant-and-still-have-periods

Worth a POAS surely....?

Purplecircle · 06/07/2014 21:20

I POAS when I was late. Was def full blown witch.
Trying to convince DH to go see GP about TTC and he just keeps saying see what happens this month.
I don't know what to think. It doesn't add up Hmm
Probably POAS next week when witch due then see GP if BFN I think

fattycow · 06/07/2014 23:21

purple I usually get some abdomen cramps during icing.
My sense of smell is all over the place, I can sometimes smells things nobody else can whilst definitely not upduffed. Nausea is unfortunately very common for me, especially in the mornings and while in the car.

Fx for a bfp!

lildottie · 06/07/2014 23:30

purple I get headachey around icing as well as bad ov pains and my energy levels are all over the place. if u had full blown AF you are either too few dpo to be having symptoms of pg or you haven't iced yet. how long are ur cycles usually?

Pisghetti · 06/07/2014 23:44

Hopefully you'll get an answer next week purple - our bodies are funny things Confused

Still waiting on AF here - two days late. I have a cunning plan though - white knickers. If that doesn't tempt her out, nothing will Wink

Purplecircle · 07/07/2014 06:50

Yeah I just have to wait it out. I know I definitely feel different.
I never have nausea, or many headaches.
There could be another explanation for any of it though

Lala5 · 07/07/2014 07:47

purple have a look at this www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/982.aspx?CategoryID=60
It's very like the symptoms of af coming and also some pg symptoms. I feel sick, headache, bloated and get a pain in my abdomen so always know when I'm icing. Plus the pant snot Grin

Might be good idea to book gp appointment to go have chat - you can put mind at rest then hopefully and get advice.

pis POAS!

Away with work lots this week then wedding back home in Scotland at weekend. Busy week! Need to get cape on at every opportunity too. Might be broken by end of the week Wink

Pisghetti · 07/07/2014 08:24

You can do it Lala "When there's awesome penis to be had, she dons her cape and saves the day - SuperShagger!"

I'm scared of the disappointment of another BFN. If she's a no show by Wednesday morning I'll try again.

DulcetMoans · 07/07/2014 10:32

Morning all. Start of a new week and time to announce my return the JSers. I am back on the TTC horse unfortunately after a recent MC.

So, hi to all the newbies, I am a long standing JSer but not been around much lately. I am one of you though, promise! I have no idea when/if I will ov or when AF will be due and sticks etc won't work now anyway as pg hormones still in the body so I really am relying on JSing!

Capes on all! Mine is currently black with a single star on for the baby that never was, with a pocket for tissues and chocolate when I get a bit teary. Don't want to bring the fred down or anything though so trying to just move on and just get back to it. I'll symptom spot and cheer-lead whilst my body sorts itself out.

Good luck to all - I have a good feeling we will get one more BFP before the end of the fred. Who will it be?!

Lala5 · 07/07/2014 11:16

Hi dulcet I had thought we'd not heard from you for a while. So sorry to hear it's been a sad time Flowers. Good to have you back here and hopefully we can give you support whenever needed xxx
