Hi everyone, I know this is probably a bit early (since it isn't July yet) but I thought I would start a new thread for those who lost their tickets for previous busses and for those who are beginning their bus journey now. Please feel free to add your stats to the list and grab a good seat while you can. Best of luck to everyone TTC and I look forward to getting many BFP's posted on here.

Agreed, it won't stop you conceiving, even if it did affect cycles.
Good luck everyone who's waiting for a bfp. Fingers crossed for you FoscarC that it's just too early.
Hope that is an ovulation sign kitty!
I'm now officially in the 2WW... Never done this properly (obsessedly) before. Eek.

FoscarC · 29/06/2014 00:00

I haven't even tested yet pompatrol. I'm just being stupid. Nothing has changed. I was just getting my hopes up as my period was due on Thursday and I haven't had it yet (waiting to test until husband gets back, plus I do have irregular cycles so want to leave it as long as I can before testing). And so finding out pregnacare can make cycles longer just made me think that I may not be late. My cycle may just be longer. Weird though how very depressed it made me! I am an emotional bag at the moment.

notoasthere · 29/06/2014 05:09

I'm taking the pregnacare conception vitamins - I've been on the breastfeeding ones since ds was born and the levels of b vitamins are very similar (they would be the only ones that would increase cycle length) so I'm hoping not to be affected!

foscar I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of symptoms - remember lots of people don't find out till later and never really have any symptoms either

Sending love to choccy treacle fattycow and anyone else who might need it

Welcome to the new faces if I haven't already said hello

10dpo here today! Didn't get my bfp till 12dpo with ds so waiting till Tuesday to test. Actually news to go out and get some tests, I don't think my cheapies will arrive till the end of the week. Not particularly helpful!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/06/2014 07:22

Definitely go out and get some FRERs notoasthere!! Exciting that we might get a BFP on the day the bus officially sets off-keeping my fingers crossed for you Grin

Blueskygirl30 · 29/06/2014 08:23

Good morning everyone,

I had a really vivid dream last night that I did a pregnancy test and got a positive on it (although it did read 'pergnant 1-2 weeks'....even in my dreams stuff is wonky!) so I jumped out of bed and just did two hpts, such was my confidence!.... both BFNs. I'm on 9dpo today but AF is due tomorrow. Starting to think AF might be on her way, I also have an app on my phone that warns me when she's due....it helpful popped up with 'Aunt Flow is on her way' just when my first hpt came up with 'not pregnant'. Thanks phone! I also did an ovulation test which came up with no line at all....should I be getting at least something on there if I was pregnant this time? I think I might have made up all of the weird cramps, nausea and a couple of short occasions of heart burn in my hope for symptoms. So now I'm going to spend the rest of the day being grumpy (luckily for DH he went away for the night early this morning with work).

TheGrandHighWitch · 29/06/2014 08:32

Blueskygirl30 oh my god, my dream was spookily similar last night too. like you I am also 9dpo today and I dreamt that I got a faint line on an ic so did a clear blue digital which said pregnant. I was in the process of dream re-testing when I woke up. testing on an ic got me a bfn as far as I can tell. Bloody dreams! My opk lines got fainter after ov to the point where they were barely visible but yesterdays was a bit darker again. No idea if this means something or if I am reading too much into it though.

KittyVonCatsington · 29/06/2014 08:35

It is soooo disappointing getting a bfn Blue I really feel for you this morning Sad
Normally I would say 9dpo is way too early, but if your normal LP is 10dpo anyway, then not sure what to say. I suppose one bit of hope is late implantation, if so, this will delay AF anyway so see what happens tomorrow. If no AF, I'd test the next day (leaving 48 hours between today and day after tomorrow)

KittyVonCatsington · 29/06/2014 08:38

X-post! Looking good Grand !!! (ic this early means nothing, but OPK is encouraging)

TheGrandHighWitch · 29/06/2014 08:47

I hope so KittyVonCattsington. I have read that opks need to be a blatant positive for it to be classed as positive for pg. Knowing my luck I am probably gearing up for another lh surge Grin. I suspect af due to moodiness/irritability understatement but suspect pg due to lack of sore boobs which is very odd for me. Hopefully mine and Blueskygirl30s subconscious is giving us hints as to what's going on. Wink.

Blueskygirl30 · 29/06/2014 08:57

Thanks Kitty, I'm hoping that I just had late implantation, although at least if AF arrives tomorrow it will let me know one way or the other.

GrandHighWitch I really hope you're right and that we have teeny tiny dot babies telling our sleep brains what's going on. However I do feel especially grumpy and irritable today and think AF is probably on her way. I swore at the HPT this morning when it flashed up 'not pregnant', it just seems so much ruder than having no line appear, like it was taunting me. I think I'll save the expensive ones with the words for when I'm really sure, if only to avoid me going to war on a little plastic test.

spinningirl10 · 29/06/2014 09:07

Blue, sorry you got a bfn, fx af doesn't arrive.

Fx for foscar and notso.

Grandwitch, when will you poas?

I'm cd6, usually get positive opk on cd10/11 so not long nowGrin

FoscarC · 29/06/2014 09:20

Morning! bluesky I hope it is just too early for you. Asking as af hasn't arrived then there's still hope! Massive fx!!!

I didn't realise opks can show pg signs too. Learning something new everyday! grandhigh it sounds like everything is doing as it should, so a huge fx for you too.

And also fx for you notoast. The waiting is hard! I keep thinking everyday now that this is the day that I will get af. The first thing I did this morning was rush to the loo and have a rummage about but still no sign of it. I really really thought it was here yesterday and it really did upset me. Went to the loo and thought there was brownish cm, but that was yesterday and there's be nothing since so think I may have just been over analysing me, over analysing!!

So another day to push and hope that af stays away.

And then hopefully we will start to get some BFP in the next week.

TheGrandHighWitch · 29/06/2014 09:21

Blueskygirl30 If it makes you feel any better I don't think the digital ones are as sensitive this early. The ones with the conception indicator are better than the digital ones without but afaik they are both less sensitive than FRER's and superdrugs tests. My IC tests say they are 10miul ones on the packet but the instructions say they turn positive for 25miul so not sure which to beleive there.
This info was taken from another site re test sensitivity:

IC's usually 10 mIU/ 25 mIU (although this is questionable!)
One step High sensitivity - 10 mIU
Superdrug - 10 mIU
First Response Early Response - 12.5 mIU
Sainsbury's own - 15 mIU
Tesco own - 25mIU
Asda cheapies - 25mIU
Boots own brand - 50 mIU
Clearblue Digital - 50 mIU (CBD with conception indicator is 25mIU)

Apparently you should have a hcg level of 25mIu at 10dpo so could definitely be too early for us both. Agree with KittyVonCatsington though that hcg will stop af regardless of amount so just because it isn't showing on a test doesn't mean it is not there giving us weird dreams Wink.

spinningirl10 I am poas pretty much every morning (using IC's) until I get an answer either way. If late or in the case of a promising line on an IC then I will bust out probably a superdrug test or possibly a FRER although don't really want to use that unless late as I don't want to 'waste' it.

FoscarC · 29/06/2014 09:22

As always. I have typos!!

As long. Not asking.

FoscarC · 29/06/2014 09:26

Can you please explain to me what a FRER is. What an IC is and what people would recommends using to test? Are clear blue no good then due to high levels needed? I haven't got any tests yet as I know if I have one I will test and I want to wait until dh home. Although to be honest I am too scared to test.

TheGrandHighWitch · 29/06/2014 09:29

FRER - First Response Early Result
IC - Internet cheapy.

In theory IC ones are most cost effective and sensitive but lots of women don't rate them due to false negatives/evaporation lines etc. Mostly the superdrug ones (in a pink box) or the First Response Early Result ones (be careful as there are two types of first response available and the other type is not as sensitive) are the best to go for for reliability.

Treaclepie19 · 29/06/2014 09:30

Sorry about the bfn but definitely test again in a few days :)
Argh I need advice! My temp rose a lot yesterday and I had the solid smiley too.
However I'm now wondering if it was alcohol that caused it? My temp has dropped again drastically today so can't be ovulation can it? Or is it drinking and lack of sleep that affected this mornings temp?
Very confused.

KittyVonCatsington · 29/06/2014 09:32

Can anyone with the TCOYF book give me a helping hand?!

Cd17 for me. Expecting a +VE OPK later...BUT

Yesterday and today, temps rose from 36.51 to 36.74 yesterday and 36.63 today. Had almost positive OPK day before yesterday then faint one yesterday. Here is my question though... When checking cm, I can't feel my cervix. Also, cm seems to have reverted back to sticky...
Does a high cervix mean I will ovulate or I have ovulated? Trying to preempt FF here Grin

Blueskygirl30 · 29/06/2014 09:33

Ooooh GrandHighWitch thank you for those stats....you have dragged me out of my state of despair! I'm going to go down to superdrug today and get some more tests for tomorrow's POAS session!

Foscar I think I'm correct in IC meaning Internet Cheapy and FRER being First Response Early Response?

I had been using IC thinking they were 10mIu but then read the info from the box today and it said they're either 10 or 25.....so that's always useful! I'm off to the gym now, a bit of exercise to perk me back up.

KittyVonCatsington · 29/06/2014 09:36

X-post! Similar worries Treacle!! Why is it never easy!!??

As far as my tracking of other charts goes, your solid smiley could have been the start of your surge, today could be your ovulation dip, tomorrow it could start to rise. Of course, only guessing and like me, will probably just need to wait and see what the chart does. I HATE waiting Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 29/06/2014 09:37

IC is internet cheapy but not idea on frer.

I held on to fmu today as I was so undecided whether to poas! I didn't and felt instantly disappointed I didn't. So far feeling positive as I haven't gained my usual 1-2kg before af. Still getting lightheaded a lot and on and off cramping but nothing conclusive. Will poas tomorrow am for sure.

9dpo does sound early blueskygirl30, is af due because of your cycle length or because you usually get af 10dpo?

Everything sounds pretty positive for you TheGrandHighWitch!

Treaclepie19 · 29/06/2014 09:39

Thanks kitty, yeah I will have to wait and see >.<
Why does everything take time!!!

I think high cervix means you have ovulated but will check the book.

cinnamongreyhound · 29/06/2014 09:39

X LOADS of posts there!!!!

I'm not help with temps Treaclepie19!!

FoscarC · 29/06/2014 09:41

I'm sorry but I have no idea about temps or cervix positions. Sorry I can't help.

Thank you for the feedback re pg tests. Fx I'll be able to use one tomorrow if af hasn't shown up.

cinnamongreyhound · 29/06/2014 09:43

Just googled KittyVonCatsington and found cervix is at highest when ovulating but also gets very soft so can seem to disappear as it feels the same the vaginal wall.
