Hi everyone, I know this is probably a bit early (since it isn't July yet) but I thought I would start a new thread for those who lost their tickets for previous busses and for those who are beginning their bus journey now. Please feel free to add your stats to the list and grab a good seat while you can. Best of luck to everyone TTC and I look forward to getting many BFP's posted on here.

Thank you everyone. I really don't know what I'd do without you all!
I've been out with my friend who is due in august this morning. In a better place today so hopefully that will carry on.
Had a massive temp spike today so guessing ovulation was yesterday?

I so hope this means af will stay away a bit and my luteal phase is longer if it appears at all cause I'm obviously going to be pregnant

Having friends over tonight so I will be drinking again. Wondering if I should try not to have too much. Then I just think you can do everything right and it doesn't matter. Plus at like 1dpo it wouldn't even affect anything. Hmm.

Aprilray · 28/06/2014 13:20

Thanks for the tip GrandHighWitch

Fattycow same here! woke to a text and a pic, I also thought I would be pregnant by the time the baby arrived but am feeling really positive about this cycle and have my fx that by the time I meet the little one I will have a little bean getting comfy.

Laurano that pic had me in stitches!

Treacle glad you are feeling better today. Certainly sounds like you have ovulated - yay! Enjoy tonight with your friends. I am off to a bbq tomorrow and plan to have a few glasses of Wine

CD18 here and still no peak from my monitor. Maybe I ov even later than I thought which isn't a bad thing as I can tell myself that the reason I've not conceived yet it just due to bad timing - I think we've always worn ourselves out by CD18 before.

Treaclepie19 · 28/06/2014 14:28

Thanks April :) enjoy your bbq too!
I am currently obsessing over when I've ovulated and if we dtd enough. Only 4 times so far. Af finished late and ovulation came early.

Guess I'll have to wait and see! 10 days til ill test...

Treaclepie19 · 28/06/2014 14:29

Also how long are your cycles April?
The cycle I conceived I didn't get my peak until cd19.

Aprilray · 28/06/2014 15:19

They were 28-30 days but have got longer since ttc, last cycle was 33 days. We had been aiming for days 14-16 before. fx I get my peak tomorrow!
I have spent sooo much time obsessing re ovulation and whether we've DTD at the right time. As long as you DTD within the last few days you should be absolutely fine if you ovulated yesterday Smile roll on symptom spotting!

kurama · 28/06/2014 15:22

hope everyones having a good weekend and happy armed forces day Grin just having a quick cuppa break from work and trying to catch up! didnt end up dtd this aft as dh atacked me late last night so i decided to treat him as i didnt think there had been enough time gone between for him to restock Wink lol roll on day off tomoro!

Nordicmom · 28/06/2014 16:38

I wish I had someone to talk to who'd been thorough it in hindsight when I was having my mc but wasn't on mumsnet back then . I feel for you who are having a hard time . I have several friends with children who were born when the ones I lost would have been and it still gets to me everytime I see them . It doesn't really ever fully go away but time does heel some wounds I think . Hugs all around :)!
Am on day 6 and oddly had a bit of blood this morning but nothing since . I've never spotted or had imp bleeding so don't know . Had some light cramping and lower back pain too . Nothing really yesterday on cd5 like the few months I had pain and lots of symptoms from cd 5 and then a suspected chemical . So I really tried not to obsess this month but here we go . With the blood and cramps ofcourse I will ... I'm sure I'll start testing too early ,can't help it

Treaclepie19 · 28/06/2014 16:43

It is useful Nordic, makes me feel less pathetic and moany!

I will join you in early testing. I always do it :/

TheGrandHighWitch · 28/06/2014 16:50

Nordicmom I think our bodies are vindictive and deliberately give us more/stronger symptoms when we are trying to avoid symptom spotting. On numerous occasions I have been several days late for af, tested then come on as soon as I have poas! I have been relatively symptom free today but yesterday was symptom galore Hmm. Mind you, the test line on my opk was darker than yesterdays. Trying not to read too much into it but you know how it is.....

Treacle- i had a good drink last night. Think it did me good to relax and it was so good to have my mind off ttc for the night. Had one of the best nights ever with the girls. Xx

Pompatrol · 28/06/2014 18:41

Hi ladies
Sorry I have not posted in a while but I have been checking in and am sorry to hear about people's sadness, illnesses etc and am sending good vibes to you all.
We've been trying to DTD as I've apparently been in my fertile window... But I downloaded fertility friend and realised the ovulation window is about 3 days so the fertile window is even longer, as my cycle has been a bit irregular and going longer and longer. So I'm not sure if we've even done it at the right time! And also I've been taking bloody pregnacare and now I'm wondering if that's a bad idea as I think a few people have said that it can lengthen the cycle.
I'm feeling very grumpy indeed! Is that a sign of ovulation? Grin

Mulberry82 · 28/06/2014 19:10

Thanks for all the hellos and yes I did pick my nick name because of mulberry handbags....

Sorry to hear all the sadness, big hugs to all.

I believe I am in what feels like a very long tww, distracting myself with good food and a smallish glass of wine or two.

lp2014 · 28/06/2014 19:13

Hi mulberry! X

xBlueberry88x · 28/06/2014 20:01

Evening ladies,

Trying not to be on here to much to stop myself obsessing and hopefully relax!!

Hi Gennie sorry your over here.

Welcome to the newbies!

Choccy Sorry your going through such a hard time. A break might be a good thing but its a shame that the doctor thinks there might be a problem. Take some time to concentrate on you and treat yourself

April can you find a page that says vodka is good lol

Ginger Im glad your numbers are going down but so sad that it might be 2 Sad. Lol would you be tempted to tidy him away. My dp trys to help but ends up getting annoyed because he doesnt do it the way I want lol

Grand fx thats a symtom shame it was a take away though lol

Treacle sometimes we all need a good cry, its always going to be hard but one day soon you will get your bfp and itll make it a little easier

English nice to see some positivity!!

Laurano you always make me smile lol love the washing machine face!

cd 10 for me today af stayed a little longer than I wanted, not sure how im going to do this month.

lotsa exercise and healthy eating better be worth it I tell ya especially with my bad leg and not being able to walk properly lol.

Just ate a lovely bolognese and got some pinacolada on the go yummy.

fattycow · 28/06/2014 20:04

I visited a new born today. I fell in love with the little one. I want one so bad...

cinnamongreyhound · 28/06/2014 20:53

Take care Choccywoccydodah.

Still have cramps on and off today but no af. Anyone else any news?

FoscarC · 28/06/2014 21:15

Does pregnacare extend your cycle!? Oh no! I'm on it. That may be the only reason I haven't got af yet. Oh bugger. My last cycle I started pregnacare and it was my longest ever cycle at 34 days. I thought it was just a fluke. Maybe it was the pregnacare and if I'm still on it then this cycle may be that long too. And I'm only day 32 today. Bugger bugger bugger.

No news. Spent today in ikea and then john Lewis. Was hell. People everywhere. Didn't realise it was the first day of sales at john lewis Today. And now trying to make what I am sure is the most complicated flat pack chest of drawers ever invented. Been at it 2 hours already and just realised I forgot to put 2 of the screw in. Sod it. They are staying out!!

Still no af. No real symptoms although I am very short tempered. But again, may just be coming up to af. I'll keep on waiting......

TheGrandHighWitch · 28/06/2014 22:21

Thanks xBlueberry88x I am hopeful that it's a symptom rather than my body playing tricks on me. That's twice in the last 8 days that I have vomited after eating so should rule out a bug/food poisoning etc in theory. Had a bit of cramping today but have also been a complete b*h to my husband and kids recently as I just don't have the patience atm Sad which is a usual af sign for me so Confused.

FoscarC I am avoiding pregnacare etc type vitamins due to the comments about them on here. I don't need anything else messing with my cycles, I can do that perfectly well on my own lol. I have been taking tesco/asda a-z multivitamins (as has my husband at my request for the zinc benefits) and they seem fine.

OP posts:
Pompatrol · 28/06/2014 22:40

Sorry FoscarC I just googled it a bit more, there is no actual evidence that it does affect your cycle. It's all anecdotal. I was feeling negative. Buf I'll be honest I think I might swap it for just folic acid.

FoscarC · 28/06/2014 22:43

grandhigh thanks for the feedback. I suppose I'll just have to see when af turns up this time and judge it from there. I am now pretty certain I'm no going to get a BFP. I have no symptoms. Feel completely normal. I do have sore boobs and lots of creamy cm (sorry tmi) and also went a bit mental at my husband this morning when he skyped me (very very mental to be truthful which is very very unlike me). But I can attribute it all to impending af. Hey ho.

TheGrandHighWitch · 28/06/2014 22:55

FoscarC I think it's possibly the quantities of the vitamins in pregnacare that may have an adverse effect on cycles tbh. As Pompatrol said, it all seems to be anecdotal so may only affect some women in this way. If I remember correctly, you were the poster planning to test monday night when your DH comes home? If so, don't count yourself out yet Smile. Besides, I also have minimal symptom wise at the moment besides sporadic barfing, creamy cm, cramping and being a bit of a cow for the last month few days. So hopefully these are symptoms rather than impending af for the both of us.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 28/06/2014 23:09

Ladies, don't worry too much about the pregnancare stuff. They're recommended by the nhs so can't be too bad and the quantities aren't vastly different from some of the other cheaper brands. Believe me - I had every box in sainsburys in my hand comparing.
Having said that I'm sticking to basic folic acid and vitamin d. Hoping to get everything else from a decent diet.

FoscarC · 28/06/2014 23:09

pompatrol, just saw your message. Must have crossed messages. Don't worry. I googled it too. Some women say it does affect others don't. Who knows I suppose. And my last cycle was 34 days which is longer than normal but there's no reason why it was because of pregnacare. The one prior to that was 4 days shorter than normal and I wasn't on anything. And either way. If I'm not pg then I am not whether I get af on Monday or a week later. It doesn't change anything in the long term.

FoscarC · 28/06/2014 23:10

Thanks English and grandhigh.

Yes. Planning to test Monday when dh home. Fed up of waiting now. 2 days to push.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/06/2014 23:21

Sorry Foscar - I was one of the ones talking about pregnacare-didn't mean to make you panic! I've just decided not take take supplements in such high doses. Shouldn't stop you getting a BFP Grin

FattyCow was going through a friends new baby photos earlier. The cutest little boy! Really reminds you why we are going through aloof this, doesn't it?!

Potential ovulation SYMPTOM (new one) I've got itchy boobs. Hope it's a good sign!
