Hi everyone, I know this is probably a bit early (since it isn't July yet) but I thought I would start a new thread for those who lost their tickets for previous busses and for those who are beginning their bus journey now. Please feel free to add your stats to the list and grab a good seat while you can. Best of luck to everyone TTC and I look forward to getting many BFP's posted on here.

Hi everyone

I am joining from the June bus as AF is here. Although I am not really TTC at the moment (new job) I don't want to lose touch!

Interestingly I have come off all my supplements (WellWoman and B6) and I have had a normal cycle with a 10-day LP and only 1 day of spotting before AF. Haven't experienced that since before TTC so I'm thinking it was the tablets?

I will read back in a bit.

MissMrsMummy Age 30, TTC #1, cycle 6, BFP due in a couple of months!

notoasthere · 21/06/2014 14:33

EPO definitely helped my cm last time we were ttc - you probably need a better run at it than 5/6 days though

KittyVonCatsington · 21/06/2014 15:11

Hi MissMrs my bus/cycle buddy Grin

Last cycle was first when I only had Frolic Acid. A perfect cycle and first one since came of Pill last Nov. I'm convinced the conception vits were to blame!

So so glad you had a pretty decent cycle-about time you had some good news on that front. Hope you're taking good care of yourself and counting down the days till end of term!

Nordicmom · 21/06/2014 17:32

Still to catch up I'm afraid ... Worrying over though didn't miss ov , got the smily today so we're back in business :)!

MissMrsMummy · 21/06/2014 17:55

Hi kitty! Nice to 'see' you Smile I will definitely just take frolic acid when we start TTC again. Realised that's all my friends took and they fell pg quickly! Here's me trying to do the right thing by taking millions of supplements and my cycle gets screwed up! Glad to hear you've had a good cycle too.

I am working part-time now and surviving! Hope you are ok too. Not long til summer - yay!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/06/2014 18:31

I've only taken folic acid when ttc, it took 6 months with ds1 but the month I conceived my stress levels had dropped significantly and I was much more relaxed generally. Have no idea if that was it but it must have a significant effect. I can't comment on any of these things to increase chances as I've never tried them. You are all dedicated for sure!

Dh has just given me a speech about enjoying the journey, I resisted the urge to punch him!

MissMrsMummy · 21/06/2014 19:38

cinnamon interesting you should say that about stress as the 2nd month we were TTC I was diagnosed with stress and have suffered for about 6 months. No wonder I couldn't get pg! Stress was also likely to be the cause of my cycle problems. I started getting awful cramps which were suspected as endometriosis but I've not had those the last 2 cycles. So hopefully I'm on the mend :-)

theonewiththenoisychild · 21/06/2014 20:12

welcome to the new passangers Smile and sorry to all who af got last month and fx for lots of bfp's this month. well ive just got home from the inlaws more than a little to drink and feeling excited about getting back to ttc when af goes away Grin

theonewiththenoisychild · 21/06/2014 20:15

cinnamon yes i had to resist tbe urge to punch oh when all he said today when i told him af got me was.... oh well Sad

FoscarC · 21/06/2014 21:06

Cinnamon and theone. If your oh are anything like mine they do mean well, they just normally have a terrible ability to say it.

FoscarC · 21/06/2014 21:07

I think a lot of the time they just a don't know what to say, do just end up saying completely the wrong thing.x

junkfoodaddict · 21/06/2014 21:59

Can i join please?
Long story, but came off the pill (cerazette) in October 2013. Didn't get AF until 8 weeks later in December. Had plans to start in March 2014 but DH and I thought best to wait for holiday reasons. Had every intention of TTC later July but we've started this week because we're fed up of waiting. Grin
This will be DC2. I have a DS aged 2. I'm 35 and BFP will be due around July 9th. Fingers crossed.

TheGrandHighWitch · 21/06/2014 22:11

Yeah I think for men it is all about the sex rather than specifically trying to conceive. Af for them = more sex, whereas Af for us = punishment for not being pregnant whether we want to be or not. I think that's why they aren't that bothered about fertile times etc because for them they are always fertile and it's hard for them to get that we can't ovulate on command Grin. I had the same problem with my husband that he felt we were dtd just to make a baby (we were in fairness because I have a low sex drive) but I really had to hammer it home that we had a 24 hour window in the whole month to get pg. And that not only did we have to narrow down when that 24 hour timeframe would occur, but that we also had to ensure conception would happen whether that meant dtd out of duty or not. So effectively men like ttc as far as having sex goes but we shouldn't make it about ttc as that puts pressure on them (diddums Hmm).

Lol Aprilray consider yourself hired as stats assistant or indeed anyone else that wants to is more than welcome too. I am finding it trickier to keep up now the bus is busier so am not posting as much now as I don't want to make it all about me as we are all in this together.

That being said I would like some advice from you lovely ladies if possible. I am having trouble pinpointing ovulation this month. I had a high reading on my clearblue monitor and a promising positive looking opk that afternoon. Not being sure whether to class it as positive or almost positive I did another opk before bed with the lines looking more or less the same. I put it down to an almost positive expecting a positive today. Sure enough, this morning I got a peak reading on the monitor but on the two opk's I have done they have been negative so I am a bit confused. The pics are the opks from today and yesterday so you can see what I mean. I think my lh surge was probably sometime around lunchtime yesterday and has gone down again today but not sure. Fortunately we dtd the night before last and this morning so should be covered so to speak. What do you think?

GrandHigh I'd say you ov'd last night and that's why they have turned neg again today. Sounds like you timed you DTD perfectly so fx for you!

Rainbow555 · 21/06/2014 23:23

grand I would agree with mismrs it looks positive yesterday and neg today so probably OV perfect timing with DTD???do again tonight or tomorrow just in case?
Mind you this is my first time using opk so still getting the hang of it! But starting to get more familiar with what they look like!
Any other of signs that could help you?

Welcome junkfood looks like we are due similar times..poas party coming our way maybe?

cinamon foscar the grand and others with non sympathetic DH...I have to agree! They don't seem to get it! My DH is most confused about the fact that there is only one key time when the window is open.. He keeps saying 'it only takes one' and 'surely people get pregnant all the time at different points in their cycle' and 'so how do one night stands get preg so easily'....bless he is beginning to see the ttc is not as easy as he thought!

I read a stat to him yesterday "with the right timing it OV, egg and sperm and all being healthy etc there is a 20-25% chance of preg per cycle..." I think that made him think....

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 06:16

Crikey! That is quite a shocking statistic. To be honest my husband is very good, but he should be. We've only been married for 2 weeks and have just got back from honeymoon so dtd all the time has been the normal thing. And it's only the first month of trying. I'm sure it get very much more difficult and less enjoyable the longer it takes. grandhigh I have no idea about opk I'm afraid, but it would make sense to me that you ov last night so fingers crossed it all happens for you thins month.

ChandlersFarang · 22/06/2014 07:46

Hi everyone, welcome newbies! I've been a bit quiet as I've been back home in the UK since Tues and going around visiting everyone I've missed - that includes 3 babies and a christening today! Luckily I'm not at the jealous stage yet so am loving seeing them and holding them all! And haven't had any "when are you having one?" comments - YET - so far so good.

I'm on CD6 today - AF was a bit light this month and gone by CD4. Weird as I was taking Progynova (oestrogen) to thicken my endometrial lining so not sure why there was less blood! Have stopped the pregnacare as per your advice Kitty & Laurano as my LP was only 9 days last cycle. Sticking with frolic acid. Had my blood taken on Thursday to get to the bottom of whether I've got PCOS or not - results tues/weds this week. Eek!

Good news is that being super busy on this trip home has meant in barely thinking about ttc! Grin

Good luck all, looking forward to the BFPs rolling in... X x x

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 08:55

Morning everyone! Hope you're all well. I have been up during the night not well, felt sick as a dog although didn't come to anything. Woke this morning feeling uneasy. Most likely just ate too much last night! Hope you are all good this Sunday. :-) xx

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 08:56

What a beautiful sunny day it is! Too bad the housework needs done :-( xx

scottishbride · 22/06/2014 09:03

Morning!
Sorry I can't add anything to the opk question, going to try for 2 more cycles before I complicate things... Also got a holiday in July including ov so hopeful for that if I miss the July bus...

Dh would just like to have a baby, anything else in terms of planning I think is up to me.

Thanks for everyone for conception vit advice, you've potentially saved me a pretty packet.

I found my pink grapefruit..... Mixed it with tonic, it's nicer with fizz but thought that might be a bit excessive! Bought some regular juice as well. No sign of ewm yet though.

Out all day today, will catch up later, let's make some March babies xx

scottishbride · 22/06/2014 09:05

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 09:12

Thanks, Scottishbride! Xx

sparkle17 · 22/06/2014 09:25

Hi everyone, i'm hopping over from the june bus as af has got me today. I wont get ny honeymoon baby after all. First month of trying so not a big shock. Dh is very understanding and has been asking all the right questions and asking if we need to do anything different this month. Before ttc he also thought you could get pregnant any time so all these stats are a shock to him. He has been joking that they lie to you in sex ed that it can happen anytime.
I didn't track ov last month at all so might try it this month . Will have a wee think about that.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/06/2014 09:30

I think I've got a bug or a reaction to the iron I'm taking. I'm not sure if ill get to dtd again. Endo pain has been awful this month. I usually get a week of respite but not this month. Sad Really feeling quite under the weather. Painkillers are a must but I know if ttc I shouldn't be taking them. Confused
