A thread for anyone TTC with a ClearBlue Fertility Monitor!

Morning ladies!! I was hunting around for a recent thread for anyone TTC with a CBFM but couldn't find any - please let me know if one is ongoing that I didn't find!! But otherwise I wanted a place to share experiences with other ladies using this rather interesting gadget. It makes big claims for success!!

About me - I'm TTC baby #1, cycle #3, expecting AF or BFP on 2-12 June.

I'm still having slightly long cycles after stopping the pill - this is my first cycle using the monitor properly, because my last cycle went on for 40 days, and the machine got bored and stopped asking for sticks after 25 days!!

I'm currently on CD09 and had my first day of a high reading today, although I know the machine gives out high readings like they're going out of fashion so not reading much into that! Will be kicking off the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan!) from today though anyway just to be sure.

I know how you feel IneenaBFP. It took two and a half years to conceive my eldest and only did so in the end with the help of clomid. Then another 6 or so months + clomid for my youngest. So far fx my body is behaving itself and it's third time lucky so to speak and I will conceive my third on the first try without help but I know that won't make anyone else feel better when they have been waiting so long for their own baby.

MILfreetoagoodhome My cbfm sticks are the purple ones too and a couple of mine have looked the same. It doesn't seem to affect the readings though.

IneedaBFP get yourself onto the June bus thread - we're all over there sharing war stories on TTC. Lots of listening ears and plenty of fun chat to pass the many waiting periods!!Smile

All my sticks have been purple so far MIL!!! X x

I had a chemical in sept, miscarriage in the May and before that took us 18months :(

I dont get why i had the water mark going through it though ?? I was wearing my mooncup still wen i Peed maybe it affected the urine ? Oh well 4 more test before i cant use it !! Hurry up OV

I've had a panic about tests too, down to my last 2 :/ guess I'll have to go to boots tomorrow unless I get a low!

Omg I keep getting notifications on FB for an old colleague people saying congrats talk about rubbing salt in the wounds!!! If I have to look at that baby scan once more grrrrrrr I am happy for her I'm just sad too lol Envy

I used cbfm and fell pregnant first go. I have a short cycle - 23 days and didn't get a peak until CD 17. I thought I ovulated on day 10-12 so was way out.

Two other friends have used my monitor. Both took about 12 months to conceive (we are mid - late 30's) but both got a positive on a month with no peak. Random but obviously a peak is not everything!

Getting sore stabby pains again it better be a peak tomorrow !! Waited patiently for a high but now I'm fed up of highs lol i want my peak !! Grin

Superworm - thanks so much for your post! I'm really glad some people still got BFPs with no peak. My monitor stopped working on CD25 without showing me a peak, although I had noticed the second line on the sticks getting a bit more noticeable in the run-up to that. I used an OPK that same afternoon and got a little line (not a positive, but I literally get nothing on them usually, so seems something was detected). Since Friday have had zilch on OPKs. I'm wondering whether I actually ov'd whilst using the monitor but just didn't get a peak. Which would be annoying, but have been DTD every other day/every day so hopefully won't have missed it.

Now I can't use my CBFMonster anymore I feel weird just peeing in the morning and not testing anything!! Lol!! POAS addicts anonymous, lol. OPKs work best in the afternoons so am just holding out for that special moment later on instead... HA!! God I'm so glad this board exists, I just couldn't talk about this mental shit with anyone in real life!! Thank you all GrinGrinGrin

Day 24 for me and another high! When will it just go to low??!! Only 1 stick left :/

Not on the monitor no but had peaks on a cheap internet stick and pink digi on day 12 and a positive on purple digi day 8, ff said I ovulated day 10 but think I ovulated day 12 so surprised monitor didn't pick it up too as they were all same urine except cheapie which was evening x

Accidentally clicked on trying to conceive instead of pregnant... WHICH WOOOO I AM 8 WEEKS!

Was trying for over a year and used this then got pregnant on second month. The best £100 I have ever spent! Good luck to you all, if you don't have one I would suggest it over everything I tried.

It seems pricey but it is SO worth it! Don't forget to turn it on everyday and pee first thing in the morning x

Hello all, lovely to catch up on your news. Am back on the lows now after highs being days 9 - 14 and peak 15 and 16 then back to high on 17 and low today which is cd18. Have been quite busy Wink so fingers x. Agree with the poster who said up thread that the cbfm is addictive. DC1 was conceived first month but this time it is taking so much longer we are both getting a bit stressed about it! The monitor is helping me chill more.

On a separate note, having not had much EWCM this month at all, suddenly had quite a bit last night so got busy and will try again tonight just incase though the monitor is now back to low!

What happens at the end of the month when it stops asking for tests ?? Do i reset it and if so how does it store my data if it needs to be reset each time it reaches the 30day symbol thing Confused help please

Got OH to read the booklet for me Grin so i just press the m button first day of AF don't have to reset it like when i bought it
