Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine Smile

mampam · 06/06/2014 19:12

Where on your body are you having the tattoo Tilly an angel is a lovely idea Smile

stubbornstains · 06/06/2014 19:53

Hum...well OPKs pick up on luteal hormone don't they? And HPTs on HGC? So maybe your LH levels are still up....or maybe you are ovulating?

stubbornstains · 06/06/2014 19:59

Sorry, that last was for Sebsmummy. Forgot to refresh before posting!

I must have been driven batty by DP's announcement that he intends to take DS stock car racing on Sunday, and I "can have some time to myself". OMG! I'm like a dog with 2 tails! Shall I: a) go swimming and actually do some swimming, as well as lounging for hours in the sauna/ jacuzzi? b) see if anyone wants to go for a relaxed Sunday pub lunch? (as opposed to a hurried, stressed pub lunch, seeing if we can bolt our food before DS gets bored), c) just blob around with the Sunday papers, or d) go to the studio and do some work?

Clue: probably not d) then...Grin

Tilly73 · 06/06/2014 20:49

I'm having it on my shoulder mampam
Stubborn try to fit it all in apart from the work Wink how long have u got?

That cake looks amazing!!! Lucky girl to have such a clever mummy Smile

Smiler1972 · 06/06/2014 23:56

Hi all, I posted a few weeks ago re ovulating after being dumped, chemical pregnancy previous and about maybe trying solo parenting via donor etc. Well... I will hopefully be doing the solo thing but not with donor sperm. I'm only bloody pregnant, ovulated on cd 40 and had 6 /7 day old sperm (from our last time). It's still early days and I've not told anyone yet (except here) but I'm hoping it's ok.
So, 41 years old, single and pregnant - you couldn't make it up.

Read through the previous posts and wish you all well, it can be done after 40 even if it is a in a bit of a random, soap opera fashion!

Smiler1972 · 06/06/2014 23:57

Great cake by the way!

mampam · 07/06/2014 09:44

Congratulations Smiler Smile Will you have lots of support in rl from family and friends?

Great cake KEGirl

Smiler1972 · 07/06/2014 10:16

Hi mampam yes my family live round the corner! Long way to go but trying to be positive!

stubbornstains · 07/06/2014 11:10

Smiler that is AMAZING!! So brilliant.

I had DS on my own. I also got pregnant quite flukily (although perhaps not quite so flukily as that!)

This adds weight to my half baked theory that bastards have the best sperm HmmGrin

Smiler1972 · 07/06/2014 12:16

stubborn that made me laugh! yes super sperm, I'm sure my superior genes will win through though!

Your story given me hope, it's all a bit daunting, I can't work out to tell my mum though, I feel 16 and like I'm going to get told off ;)

Inshock73 · 07/06/2014 13:49

Hello everyone! (waves)

I haven't been on here for a few weeks, what with the redundancy and subsequent job hunting, new job secured now (can't remember if I mentioned it on here or not) pending house move and two family members having babies and everyone making such a fuss over the new babies whilst going on and on and on about the importance of having children and another month of no success I really needed to take a mental break from ttc, not a physical one of course! :) I'm going to need a big cup of tea whilst catching up on everyone's news.

Smiler Congratulations that's wonderful news!

stubbornstains · 07/06/2014 19:06

Hello back inshock! Congratulations on the new job.

smiler I was scared of telling my parents too...! I didn't tell them until about 14 weeks, and sent my dad a birthday card- with a scan pic inside! They were over the moon- I think the prospect of a grandchild way outweighed the slightly less-than-ideal circumstances.

The only thing I wanted DS to inherit from his dad was his lovely colouring, and I fervently hoped that he'd inherit my brains, Mr. Wrong having none to speak of. So far, it looks like success on both counts Grin.

If you ever feel the need to pick my brains, feel free to PM me xx

Smiler1972 · 09/06/2014 05:49

Thank you stubborn! I'm not sure what I'd want mine to inherit from it's father yet, struggling to find a positive at the moment ;)

I will take you up on your offer, once my brain has come to terms with this next life change! I feel really calm about it all, I think telling the parents will just be overwhelming - it will become all is talked about!!! Xx

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 09/06/2014 08:40

I've not been on the conceptions thread for a while. (had my reasons). I am officially on cycle 8.

A.F is due today but as of yet no sign. so everyone please keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll wait a few days then I'll test. xx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/06/2014 17:54

Hola chicas! I'm back from lovely cancun, witn a little bit of colour (I have true blue tinged Celtic skin), pleasantly chilled and a stone heavier!!!

Been catching up on everyone's news. Lots going on.

stubborn I did a lot of research into the mescal worm. He's an evil worm. Enjoy your day off on sun. DO NOT waste the opportunity with work. I agree 100% with bastards have the best sperm theory.

fankle so glad the scan went well.

Congrats on the move spining

firefly Angus really helped me with irregular cycles.

tranquil so glad you had a good holiday

Inshock73 · 12/06/2014 18:46

Welcome back Ginger How was Cancun?

I went there about 10 years ago and loved it, fortunately I didn't go during the college breaks when I'm told it's rammed full of American college kids partying hard.

Tilly73 · 12/06/2014 19:26

Welcome back gingerbread, hope you had a nice relaxing break. Our holiday is next month and I can't wait Grin
I have had my tattoo, an angel holding a baby it's on my back so I can't see it all the time but it's there to remind me ( not that I'll ever forget Hmm)
Have been DTD loads and gave into weakness and tested of course a BFP. I don't think I've even ovulated yet but don't like even having a couple of drinks in case I am. God we torture ourselves don't we!!!
Hope everyone is well this thread seemed to have gone quiet Smile

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/06/2014 19:45

Cheers ladies. It was brilliant, mainly Americans but they were very well behaved. How's the new job inshock?

That sounds lovely tilly, if you feel brave please post a picture. I'm guessing you mean a bfn? I'd have a wee drink if I fancied it. It had gone very quiet on here. Moralesy be low due to lack of bfp's.

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/06/2014 20:15

Morale may be low....honestly, I post using my phone, keys too wee, nails too long & bloomin' predictive text....

OP posts:
Tilly73 · 12/06/2014 20:19

Yeah you may be right, will try to post a pic but not very technically minded
Yes did put bfn but I think the predictive text changed it, maybe it's a sign Smile here's hoping
