Sorry to hear about your cat notta Sad

ghost Bloody hell, that's going some! Did you have to send your DP home on a stretcher?

ginger The last one was 23.9- definitely (I think) at 7DPO. The one before that was 28.5. I know people have conceived with such low levels- but, do I leave it to chance?

Incidentally, I have had rubbish EWCM the last couple of months. None at all last month, and a blob about this big>>>>o yesterday, and that's it. Rubbish. Has anyone tried cough syrup?

Tranquilitybaby · 11/09/2014 11:45

Have you looked into Preseed Stubborn?

stubbornstains · 11/09/2014 12:34

Not yet, because in the cycles previous to this last couple I had plenty of EWCM.....do Preseed/ Conceive Plus actually claim to mimic cervical mucus?

Tranquilitybaby · 11/09/2014 14:52

Yes they create a sperm friendly environment apparently and assist the motility. X

Somebody please kick me up the bum, 11dpo today, tested yesterday and today. Yesterday I wasn't sure if I could see a v v v faint mark (but most likely and evap line) today nada. I am all consumed by it all today, we're going away for the weekend, I haven't packed or anything. Zero motivation, I just would like to know now. Hate feeling like this Confused meh...

BingoBonkers · 11/09/2014 15:51

Thank G. So we dtd. I'm a spotty hungry mess and AF due next week. Got a feeling she's on route. Not sure we managed to dtd on the right dates even though I'm sure we did. My heads fuzzy. I'd be amazed if AF doesn't turn up I really will.

Tranq weekend away sounds like a good distraction.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 11/09/2014 16:17

If you can tranq leave all sticks at home & go & just enjoy yourself.

stubborn, my 7dpo prog was 28, just saying (& hoping its enough for this little bean to stick)

Ha ha. Stubborn and we've still got another day to go as well. Can't get over how fast the week has gone. Just keep everything crossed for me aside from legs of course) that this week of shagging has worked. If it hasn't worked this time we're back to 2 days a week again. Still every little helps.

Tranquilitybaby · 11/09/2014 17:26

I wish I could but I know I won't be able to resist testing. Can't even have a drink just in case.

X

Fankletastic · 11/09/2014 17:59

OMG GINGER!!! Wow, congratulations and bloody well done on your bfp!!

Just popped on for a lurk as been away on hols to Greece (twas lovely).

I am soo very pleased for you. And just before you went ahead with IVF too...isn't it amazing how that can sometimes happen? That's what happened with me, although it was IUI as opposed to IVF. And now I'm past 23 weeks. Still can't really believe it's real though. Denial and sticking head in sand is a healthy coping mechanism I'd say so just go with it if that's what gets you through the next few weeks. Did/do you have any symptoms at all?

Annie hang in there love, you'll be next one way or another. Hope the down reg is going well. I will keep checking in when possible to see how you're getting on.

Have I missed another bfp??

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 11/09/2014 20:19

Hi Fankle. I've not met you before on this thread. Congratulations.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/09/2014 07:12

Hi fankle, wow! 23 weeks, how exciting! No symptoms but so far tests getting darker so will be keeping an eye on that & going for an early scan. Wonder how mampam is doing? Greece, lucky you.

inshock is well up-duffed, I think 9 weeks!

Fankletastic · 12/09/2014 11:18

Fab news about Inshock too! I had my suspicions about her Wink Congrats to you as well Inshock. See, us old birds can get upduffed. It can and does happen. Such encouraging news for this thread.

Hi Ghost I joined the thread near the start of the year, just before I turned 35 (bit cheeky I suppose but i'd been ttc 2.5 years and was obviously worried about everything and not getting any younger). Anyway, my story - brief version- is I had miscarriage not long after starting ttc, then bugger all for over 2 years during which time I had many tests, 3 months of clomid and was working towards starting iui. I got diffed 3 months after an exploratory laparoscopy in January (which I'd asked my FC for)... they found I had mild endometriosis. The month I got diffed I'd gone back on clomid and had my first appointment at the assisted conception clinic 2 days before my bfp!

Fankletastic · 12/09/2014 11:23

Oh and Ginger I didn't have any symptoms initially either. Just sore boobs. Was lucky not to get morning sickness, just occasional bouts of mild nausea around 6 weeks and extreme tiredness around 7/8 weeks. Everyone is different and no symptoms seems to be just as normal as lots of symptoms.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/09/2014 12:37

Thanks fankle, that is reassuring. I do have the sore boobs bit. Don't be disappearing on us now, it's lovely hearing how you're doing.

OP posts:
stubbornstains · 12/09/2014 16:16

Glad to hear you're doing so well fankle! Have you had your 20 week scan?

I never got morning sickness when I was pregnant ginger. Just extreme, crushing tiredness....but I don't think I had that until about 6/ 8 weeks.

winkywinkola · 12/09/2014 22:12

Just joining this thread.

I'm 43. Have been ttc for 9 months now. I've got 4 other dcs. I had my 4th when I was 41 and fell pg with no problems with all of them. Now, I feel I've had it and simply can't get pregnant.

Perhaps there is a cliff that fertility falls off after 40... ... Sad

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 12/09/2014 23:11

Hi Winky. Welcome aboard.

Tranquilitybaby · 12/09/2014 23:12

Hi fankle glad to hear you're progressing well and had a lovely holiday. X

Welcome winky. We're a nice bunch and if you need to to offload, off you go. It's so all consuming isn't it this TTC lark?

12DPO for me, bfn again this morning on a cheapy eBay test stick. However from last night, tmi but I've wiped v pale pink, but mostly brown when I've had a wee. Think AF is going to get me soon as I feel crampy. That said though, never spot just before AF, it usually just starts suddenly with bright red blood.

winkywinkola · 13/09/2014 06:21

Tranquility, I too keep watching out for differences with AF - how it starts and behaves.

I'm due today. I was hoping mini cramps were implantation cramps but I know they're AF.

Grr. Hope yours isn't AF.

AnnieHoo · 13/09/2014 08:57

oh thank you Fankle! It's so good to hear from you and you're doing well! Time flies!!! I hope you are right... we'll see, start on Monday if scan OK. Ginger that would be amazing. I struggle to imagine ever having an actual baby. I need to work on my visualisation techniques and picture us with wee babies Smile.

Welcome Winky!! Have you been to GP to get all the tests done? Definitely worth having that information and investigate if you need Clomid or something to help you ovulate.

stubbornstains · 13/09/2014 09:08

Welcome winky. I worry about this "cliff" too- I was always stupidly fertile, and now we've been actively TTC for 9 months and nada (I'm 40 now). By the way, have you found the fabulous over-40s thread too? Lots of people in your precise situation.

I'm sorry it looks like AF is starting tranquility Sad

That's v. v. exciting Annie! Good luck for Monday!

Well, I had a lovely obvious temperature shift this morning- always a good sign Smile. Hopefully the rigorous shagging every other day will bear fruit. Now I know why I was craving cake last night- it wasn't just buying "How to be a Domestic Goddess" from a 2nd hand book stall and reading it cover to cover yesterday...Grin

AnnieHoo · 13/09/2014 09:39

Thanks Stubborn Smile I'm a bit excited even though the chances are slim. I'm planning on surrounding myself in positivity and beauty throughout the whole thing... .zen.

And if it doesn't work I'll be back to the shagathon, whacking the sticks out and on the over 40's thread.

I was in bed last night reading my Zita West IVF book last night and started bleating on to DH that he took too long to decide to effin settle down and implied that it was all his fault because I fell off the cliff while he was hummin and hawin about giving up his freedom. Fortunately he turns a deaf ear.

Ah Nigella.. i should have been reading Nigella!
