Oh crappy crappy crapsticks ginger, that sucks. Your bodily sensations could be playing tricks on you? I hope the week manages to pass as quickly as possible.

Well, all the signs are that I have ovulated on CD16 this month, hurrah! I have a nice temperature shift to show on my online nerd chart. So at least I'm not going to have another headfuck mega cycle. Plenty of DTD, too...shame about the killer, incapacitating PMT I have today, though (bites laptop).

Tranquilitybaby · 01/07/2014 00:40

gingerr it's crap you're going thorough this, in total limbo. I hope you get answers soon, try to have A little bit of hope, hopefully it could just be early days xx

Hope your mum is doing better now, your cat as well. Why does everything always come at once? Hugs (know they're not allowed on MN but I couldn't give a rats arse)

My second AF came on time so we could TTC again from next week. Will wait after holiday though, don't want to have any issues whilst on holiday. Shit scared though. My medical records are ready for collection from the hospital too, keep putting off picking them up though. Ho hum

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 12:26

Hi everyone. Well I've started spotting which I'm glad of as it could've taken ages. Back on the ttc roller coaster! I'm starting my new prolactin medication which should normalise my cycle, we'll see.

Thanks for the support. I'm feeling ok-ish, that little taste of what it's like has made me want it more!

tranquil I can understand your reluctance, just take things at your own pace.

stubborn you still in the cycle where you were shagging in the woods while camping?

stubbornstains · 01/07/2014 13:24

I'm really sorry this is happening to you ginger ((hugs)).

But I am in awe of your strength and your ability to pick yourself up off the floor and try again. And I suppose this is proof that your body does work, and that you can get pregnant. I hope that's a reassuring thing to say, and not upsetting.

In response to your question.....yes, but it was a field! My parents are bestowing themselves on us the day after tomorrow, and my house is tiny, so if it doesn't rain we may well be putting the tent up at a nearby farm again!

I had a temp. drop this morning (and in the middle of the night) which had me really worried, but after a lot of 3am Googling I think it could just be a "post ovulatory oestrogen surge". I took my temp just now (I know, middle of the day, technically pointless) and it was really nice and high, so hopefully will remain that way tomorrow morning.

stubbornstains · 01/07/2014 13:26

Oh yes, and I now have to eradicate all traces of TTC- all books, pregnancy tests, folic acid etc from the house before my parents arrive, otherwise there'll be no stopping my mum (who is a stranger to tact).

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 14:24

It's like supermarket sweep in our house any time we have an unexpected visitor.

We need a bfp!! Feeling like you could be next stubborn, conceived in a field, great story. And no not upsetting stubborn, I do wonder what went wrong, that's 1 chem & 1 mc, I could feel a burrowing sensation so it seems to be a problem implanting & staying there. Will ask fc on fri.

OP posts:
stubbornstains · 01/07/2014 18:58

Hmmmm....I hope they don't say it's "one of those things". Thing is, it could be, couldn't it? Not all eggs are good, and I do know a few people who have had several MCs and then gone on to have healthy babies.Which is not a lot of help for you right now, I know....

On the other hand, you do have issues with a dicky LP, don't you? I wonder if you could be prescribed progesterone when you get your next BFP?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 19:51

Some people on the clomid thread have progesterone suppositories (nice, god it's all so bloody undignified) so can ask about it on fri. It could just be one of those things indeed. It's all really a lottery, we can just try to improve our odds. Lots of people much worse off than me & I am glad we only knew for a week. My heart goes out to folk it happens to later, we knew it was very early days.

I do highly recommend the prog cream I've used, will continue with it. First month less spotting & longer lp. Second month, double dosage, no spotting and (albeit transient) bfp.

Could be conceived in a field, bfp in a field. You'd have to call the baby something earthy, rowan or poppy.

Got the tv to myself as dp away for work and there's nothing on except bloody football!

stubbornstains · 01/07/2014 20:21

Ah....I'm afraid, counting back, that we peaked too early with the field....if this is the cycle, it would have happened in a comfy bed Smile

Mind you, DS was conceived in a boat (although his middle name is Raven, yes I am a hippy). A boat that I happen to have sold today, after 4 years trying! Funny huh? I must warn the new owner to look to his contraception don't use the withdrawal method like we did, for instance

You could work through the Glasto highlights on iPlayer? I very much enjoyed Arcade Fire from said comfy bed Smile

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 21:13

There's a coincidence. Found some trusty property program's to go with some well earned wine.

Loving raven incidentally.

My new prolactin med is to be taken at night as can basically cause narcolepsy. Err, could be an issue with work as I'm generally always on call & work in a very dangerous environment. Ttc may well kill me yet.....

So when you due to poas?

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 21:14

And congrats on selling the boat. Onwards & upwards, hope you're doing something nice with the dosh.

Good to hear you're holding up well Ginger with so much going on. Hope your mum is pulling through and your cat is ok too, what a week you're having! x

Stubborn loving Raven and always wanted to live on a boat! :)

Tranquility welcome back on the ttc bus, I managed to find something reassuring when my cycles synced back in after mc, hope you are too.

I've done my best over the last few days to try and a BFP for the team! :) Now the wait begins....joy!

Inshock73 · 02/07/2014 08:14

Morning all! A lady on the fab forties thread has just announced she's pregnant at the age of 44! Just thought I'd share some uplifting news to kick start our Wednesday! :)

stubbornstains · 02/07/2014 08:43

Oh, that's brilliant! I sometimes lurk on there, and BFPs seem few and far between- I think realistically because there aren't that many people on the thread, so several months between BFPs is really quite normal. Best wishes to her!

Having a nice rest now Inshock Wink?

I forgot to ask how your cat was ginger (and your mum of course!)- hopefully you had a good cuddle up together last night. Hmm....interesting about the meds- I guess you'll just have to keep a keen eye on how it affects you. Hope you don't end up having to take anti-narcolepsy medication on top!

Where are you off to on your hols tranquility?

stubbornstains · 02/07/2014 08:45

Oh, POAS time isn't for aaages yet- I'm only 5DPO now (temps came back up again this morning, hurrah!). But I try to hold off until AF is overdue- can't stand sitting on the toilet desperately squinting at that blank little white square Sad

Tranquilitybaby · 03/07/2014 07:06

Oh gingerr so sorry to hear that, you're very brave and upbeat though, which is good. Onwards and upwards.

I go away in a couple of weeks Stubborn. Will enjoy the holiday an decide what to do whilst away. Xx

Inshock73 · 03/07/2014 07:23

lol I am thanks Stubborn bored of it now!

lucieloos · 03/07/2014 08:28

Hey everyone, is there room for a newbie here? I'm 35, just recently married and. We have been trying to conceive our first for 5 months so far without success. I'm taking Vitabiotics Preconception everyday and we have also tried using Conceive plus fertility lubricant. I haven't had any tests yet but think if we have no luck in the next couple of months we will head down that route. Anyone got any tips or things to try? x

stubbornstains · 03/07/2014 09:35

Hello lucie and welcome! Are you tracking when you ovulate in any way- either by weeing on little sticks or by charting? Smile

stubbornstains · 03/07/2014 09:55

OMG! I went to have a lurk on the over-40s thread to see who got their BFP....and someone else got a BFP this morning too!!

sebsmummy1 · 03/07/2014 10:02

Just caught up and Ginger I am so sorry to hear your news Sad. Can't believe it!! If it's any consolation (and I'm sure it won't be really) but my unviable pregnancies dragged over several cycles each time meaning I couldn't TTC again yet knew I wasn't pregnant. Whilst you would give anything to still be pregnant at least your body got with the program straight away and you can now jump straight back on the boat.

I've had a very bittersweet cycle just gone. Knew I wasn't pregnant as was testing stark white negative on 9/10 dpo BUT AF was late, somehow (and it could just be a fluke) I've managed to add two days into my LP given me a 13 day FP and a 14 day LP!!!!

I have no idea if it is the maca powder finally kicking in (think I'm on month three now), or the reflexology, or my diet or as I said, fluke. To lengthen LP is difficult though, particularly at my age (39) when cycles are shortening due to peri-menopause. So anyway, pretty happy about that and am gong to keep doing what I'm doing and hope I fall pregnant in July :)

Inshock73 · 03/07/2014 10:56

Welcome Lucie I've tried Conceive Plus but it hasn't made any difference for me. I was just going to ask if you're using opk's but Stubborn got in before me :)

Stubborn Oh I'm going to pop on that thread and have a look!

Sebs I found acupuncture lengthened by LP from 11/12 to 14 days! Which reminds me I need to make an appointment. Welcome back btw!

Inshock73 · 03/07/2014 11:04

Just checked the fab forties thread and you're right Stubborn another BFP to a lady who's 41! Woohoo! :)
