Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Hi everyone, Sounds like a good idea to stop working now natty - like you said if you can't work later on then why not stop now and enjoy your pregnancy more.

Welcome Florentine, and sorry about your miscarriage in July. Here's hoping for a good month for you and you wont have to come over to the soon to be created 'postive in november' thread. Let us know how you get on with your test tomorrow.

Sounds very good for you MrsMcJ - your signs are looking pretty good. I'll be keeping fingers crossed! How have the house viewings been going?

Any news Muminthemaking? Hope AF hasn't arrived yet.

Hi to everyone else and really hope you're all having a good weekend.

RachelRose · 30/09/2006 13:58

Hi, BTW, its CD23 for me (I think although have lost count a wee bit as I dont seem to have OV'd). Nothing much to report as not much going on - am going to just relax before AF arrives and then put a plan in action for next month. Have my eye on a shiny new thermometer

muminthemaking · 30/09/2006 17:15

Hi RachelRose, unfortunately AF arrived this morning, have had terrible cramps all day. However there is a plus side, I sent DH out for a bottle of merlot that I'm just about to open!

jess1996 · 30/09/2006 18:16

I am new to Mumsnet and looking for some advice. I am currently on day 34 of a usually 28-30 day cycle (although last cycle was an extremely unusual 34 days). On day 29 (early morning) I did a clearblue (not digital test) which came up very faintly positive over an hour or two. I did two boots tests over the next couple of days which were definitely negative. Today I did another clearblue which immediately produced a very, very faint blue line. So I took the test apart (I know!) and the line was a little clearer, but still faint. So am I pregnant? If so, do these faint lines mean something is wrong?

trace2 · 30/09/2006 18:26

jess1996 you are pg congrats

jess1996 · 30/09/2006 18:34

Thanks. I hope so, but have slight cramps on and off. I'll do another test in a couple of days (and first thing in the morning!).

trace2 · 30/09/2006 18:57

yes they say wait 2 days to test again for your hcg levels to show

DD1ofcolandgerry · 30/09/2006 20:07

Im still mad with DH. Had a massive arguement last night re timing of bding, particularly as Im pumping the clomid pills into my system. He just didnt seem to understand. So no bd last night either, so my chances of getting a bpf are now non existant as Im sure Im 2dpo.

To cheer myself up, I headed off shopping and bought some furniture (on his account!!!!) Also looked for some new clothes, but decided that my shopping sprees last week were enough for the moment.

Tonight we are going out with friends, and Im going to get absolutely plastered on a mixture of vino and gin and tonic( since Im so sure Im not preggers)and then lie on the sofa tomorrow and do nothing.

Mrsmcjnr, Im going to be crossing everything for you (including my legs, theres no way hes getting near me in the mood Im in)Hopefully this is your time

Natty, you will get pregnant, Im sure of it. Good plan for Christmas though, I think I'll do the same.

Jess1996, congrats, a line is a line

Hello to everone else(running out of time as meal booked for 9.15 and Ive to have my shower and get ready yet)

love and babydust to all

dd1

NattyandThomasandBump · 30/09/2006 20:10

jess use a "first responce" test... was the only one to give me a definate line. anyway you wouldnt have a faint line if u werent preg. i felt the same i couldnt believe my eyes. i also took test apart

feedmenow · 30/09/2006 20:45

Congrats Jess! Although you should have posted in September seeing as you've still just made it
Despite my thoughts earlier that I could possibly just maybe be having an implantation bleed, my AF has now come with much more force. As yesterday was just v. light does that mean I count today as CD1 (a question aimed at all you pro's (as in "professional" and nor "prostitute"!!!!!) out there? So anyway, I am now fully acceptant that I am in the right thread, and I'll be here til at least the end of the month. Who is coming up first for testing? Any hopefuls yet?

lovelybird · 01/10/2006 09:36

Morning all,
Congratulations to all the BFP's so far and fingers crossed for those still waiting.
Well the last couple of months my AF hs been 23/34 days but before this was 30 days regularly sinc giving up BFding.
Friday was day 23-no AF, so I've tested this morning and it's a BFN. So still waiting for AF this month, up to this friday is 30 days so it could be anyday I guess. Here's hoping for good news for you all.

Florentine · 01/10/2006 09:49

Well I did a test this morning and got a BFP!!! I am SO pleased. Really praying that this is a sticky one. (had miscarriage in July).
Thought I would relay all that I did this month if it is of any help to anyone.
I BD every other day in lead up to ovulation starting about CD10 and around ovulation day BD every day for 4 days. I knew when I was ovulating by reading Toni Weschler's book which I would so highly recommend (can't believe how little I knew about fertility before this) and I did the temp charting, CM monitoring etc. We used pre seed and I made sure I did not get out of bed for an hour or so after BD. I have been eating really healthily over past couple of months - lots of fish, fruit and veg.
Last week I felt sick but thought it was far too early for that and have had alot of CM post ovulation. Hope that is of some help.

Natty1806 · 01/10/2006 10:13

Congrats to all the BFP's

DD1 - can completly understand, it really fucks (can i say that ) me off when i have been pumpimg myself with clomid, having a internal scan and eating healthy when he carries on as normal smoking and drinking and then to top it off not being in the mood . Really am not telling him next month, have a new basque from Ann Summers that i think i am going to bring out as a suprise and i have a nurses outfit so if he says no then, i may well have to leave him. - only joking but would really not be best pleased.

Did you get any bd in recently? When did you last manage it?

x

NattyandThomasandBump · 01/10/2006 10:15

congrats! u will be joining me on the antenatel threads. xxxxxxxx

Tili · 01/10/2006 10:44

Just wanted to say hi to all the ladies who have had to move over to this thread hope you all get your BFPs soon.

Also big congrats to all the ladies who got there BFPs since I was last on here.

My news is that im having my first scan tomorrow will let you know how it goes. im very nervous about it I was with dd fingers crossed all is well.
I had my booking appointment with the midwife on Fri she had a bit of a feel and she seems to think im 12 weeks so we shall see tomorrow if shes right!

Anyway id better be off take care all and I wish you well xx

DD1ofcolandgerry · 01/10/2006 11:11

OMG I have a hangover from hell. Its been ages since I last had such a drunken night, but it was worth it. The food, wine, gin and company were great. Then when we come home I gave DH the cold shoulder as I was still huffing with him, despite him finally being in the mood!!! (Natty, today is CD16, and due to DH last BD on CD11, and ovulated on CD13, so bfp chances are slim) Im going to make up wth him today, as Ive made my point. Theres always next month(when we will be on a city break aroung the dates of ovulation)Hopefully the romance of a european city will do the trick!

Enough of my moaning, congrats to Florentine on you BFP, I hope its a sticky one.

Baybdust to all

rubles · 01/10/2006 12:04

Congrats Florentine & Jess.

DD1 - sound like you had an excellent night. It looks like you still stand a chance this month, but hope you have taught that man of yours a lesson. Honestly, I don't know how they expect it to happen. Good idea on the weekend away - that'll be a dead cert night. As long as you don't get too drunk and pass out...

Feedmenow - I have asked this question in the past about what constitutes CD1. Everyone says slightly different answers. I take it from the first day I had to wear any sort of sanitary protection, even if just a thin liner. Others take it from the first day of full flow.

I tested this morning - 9 dpo - negative, obviously. Wasn't too bothered as it is far, far too early. Have still been getting the odd crampy twinge since Wednesday of last week, and one breast is bigger than the other. (What's that about??)

Natty1806 · 01/10/2006 12:06

Glad you got it all out of your system and had a fab night. There is a chance you could get a BFP, but looks like next month will be nice with a city break.

rubyroo · 01/10/2006 14:09

hi all congrats to all the new bfp's! 13dpo today have a confession tested thurs morn got bfn haven't told anyone else as i knew dh would say it was too early anyway no af yet and temps still up so am going to try and hold out as long as i can til i test again, but i don't feel pregnant have no symptons at all can't remember if i did last time or not? anyway will keep all things crossed for now!

rubles · 01/10/2006 15:40

Ooh, looking good rubyroo!

jess1996 · 01/10/2006 17:26

Hello. Thanks for all the congrats. Although I still can't believe that thin faint line is a real positive though. AF is one week late now so surely it would be a strong positive now. I don't know when I OV'd though as I haven't done any kind of charting. I still have a second test so I'm going to try and hold out until Tuesday morning (or at least tomorrow morning!). Anyway still so sign of AF. No other symptoms apart from weak abdominal pains (not really like period pains though).

cityangel · 01/10/2006 18:40

Hi all congratulations to BFPs and good luck to all the ladies whose men just don't get it.
Mine told me not to buy porn he'll download some so that should be fun (and less embarassing than buying it in the shop)
Tried pre-seed for the first time and was very pleased with it. CD6 today so a long wait but having lots of fun along the way.
Dh is well up for it but I think I put him under too much pressure to bd last month so I need to avoid that this month
Happy Sunday

NattyandThomasandBump · 01/10/2006 20:47

whats happened to babymad and mrsmc???

RachelRose · 01/10/2006 20:50

Congratulations to our October pregnant ladies...! And good luck to those who are on the verge of testing.

Sounds like you had a good night out DD1, depite the after affects - I haven't been ridiculously pissed for AGES. Maybe thats the key - In all 3 of my pregnancies I conceived when I was hammered - DS being the result of our drunken engagement party . Needless to say he at our wedding.

Anyway am expecting AF by the end of the week and after that pre-seed and temping.

Ahhhh, can hear DS (2.6yrs) singing in his bed (put him to bed an hour ago) - tempted to go in for a small cuddle. Hope everyone is having a lovely evening.
