newbie with questions!!

Hi all..im a mumsnet newbie, i already have 3 children..to my ex husband, now remarried and my hubby Loves children (got his own from previous)

So..for the first time last sunday..the 'deed' happened unprotected...under the understanding that if i get pg then great...if not..it isnt meant to be.

My question is..after working out my cycle..as best I can as im so irregular. It turns out I would have ovulated on the Friday or saturday..
I usually get my period on the first week in a new month. However...it seems way too early to test..ive now got my hopes up that im pg as i feel bloated, had some cramping..like i would get the night before my menstrual bleed..but as yet..no bleed.
I cant remember having implantation bleeding with my others..ive got tests in the drawer but im worried its too early..even though im itching to do them!!! Can anyone shed any light?

Hi tobiano....welcome to mumsnet. I would say it's too early to test. I ovulated on 25th April and only on 11 dpo which is still a bit too early -although I tested on Friday at it was a bfn- . My cycles have been irregular since stopping pill in December. I bought a clear blue advanced digital ovulation test which helped. We are on cycle 3 but I am 41 and dh almost 44 so odds in our favour. Like you we both have kids from previous relationships but decided recently to try for our own on the basis of what will be will be. I dont know what it is but i feel really excited..and am hoping i am pg. Whereas previously i had a 'scare' and was so glad to see my period!! This time im willing it to happen but the days cant pass quick enough!!
