Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Either way that is quite some mental image kitty!

MrsGingerbread · 11/05/2014 05:51

silverline does your thermometer have two decimal places on? (Not sure if you are rounding figures for us?)

Mine has to the hundredth of a degree and that is helpful for seeing patterns in temps.

Arghhhh why is the world mocking me? During my last ovulation I had thrush, and now, just as my opk's are getting darker I have just come down with chickenpox!! Is my body laughing at me? It would almost be comical if it was happening to me! I also have long cycles so it's 3-4 months wasted not just 2.

Rant over. Sorry. I think if my opk goes positive today I'll probably still see if my poor long suffering DH will agree to dtd with a pox infected person!

mistywillow17 · 11/05/2014 07:26

Wow, great news ginger and english (and MrsE's cat!).

I think I am out this time, AF came for an early visit yesterday. Although was only a very small bit of old brown stuff, and has now completely stopped. manically googles whether that could be a SYMPTOM but realises that's grasping at straws

MrsGingerbread · 11/05/2014 07:31

misty Definitely could be a symptom. Fingers crossed for you!

Duchesse O am so sorry to hear about the chicken pox. Poor you!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 11/05/2014 07:32

Misty - it could be implantation. That is usually brown and a few days before AF is expected. I've had a lot of brown cm from 12-15dpo. If nothing more comes of it do a hpt in a few days Smile

Sounds rubbish Duchese! Although I think I'd still try to force a shag with DH, pox or no pox! Wink

kurama · 11/05/2014 07:35

managed to resist poas again this morning Grin Wink
also id lost my ipod months ago so decided to get a new one. lo and behold old one turns up on day new one arrives its 4th gen (with cracked screen) vs 5th gen. ive said ill send new one back and make do if I get a bfp next week Wink hehe

mistywillow17 · 11/05/2014 07:48

Could it really be implantation? Maybe I can keep a teeny bit of hope going.

I have had to place an order for more ICs as somehow, my last lot have all been used despite it not being nearly time to POAS yet Blush Who knew that peeing on stuff would be so addictive?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 11/05/2014 08:03

If you google 'implantation quiz' - theres a little quiz that tells you how likely it is. obviously dont take it as gospel. But implantation bleeding is typically brown and is around 6-12dpo.

MrsGingerbread · 11/05/2014 08:03

misty stay on the bus, it could be. I hopped off too early when lots of brown cm appeared (my af tend to start that way). Fingers crossed for you.

mistywillow17 · 11/05/2014 08:13

Ooh, a quiz! Thank you, I'm going to do that now.

KittyVonCatsington · 11/05/2014 08:22

Chicken Pox!!! You poor thing duchesse. That really is unlucky and more than a little unfair. Hope DH is taking good care of you Brew Cake

I second what English said, misty-although we are programmed to panic at seeing any colour of sorts, brown is always promising.

Congrats mrsg and english!! And misty, sounds promising!!

Im 11dpo now and dying to know what the outcome will be. Af due on Wednesday so if nothing by Saturday I'll poas :)

rambini · 11/05/2014 08:48

Morning Smile
Kitty I still have everything crossed for you. I really hope this is your time for a bfp.
Misty definately could be a symptom. Exciting!
I am about 5dpo I think and already fighting the urge to symptom spot. I have backache but probably no worse than usual after ov and not much appetite though I am not a big eater anyway and the worst was this morning when I woke up and felt SO nauseous it was horrible.
But then I calmly remind myself I am 5dpo and need to get a grip!
I MUST NOT SYMPTOM SPOT
I MUST NOT SYMPTOM SPOT

KittyVonCatsington · 11/05/2014 08:59

Nauseous is good at this stage, rambini -the progesterone is doing it's job and hopefully helping a bean along it's way! I hope you get better luck this cycle too Grin

Hi, quick question....is it preseed that a lot of you use? Just looking at it on Amazon.

KittyVonCatsington · 11/05/2014 10:27

I use balance activ from Boots usually although had to order conceive plus online to help my bank balance! Preseed is the same I think Grin

spinningirl10 · 11/05/2014 10:32

Thanks kitty Grin just ordered some! Will be here tomorrow in time for ov this weekGrin

spinningirl10 · 11/05/2014 10:38

Duchess, poor you having the pox!! Hope your dh will still dtd.

Kitty, sorry to hear your body is not playing ball, fx you get a bfp. The cm could be a good sign.

theduchesse · 11/05/2014 10:41

We use conceive plus here and quite like it. Don't have the slipping all over the bed problems I've heard about from pressed (so long as you don't use too much).

rambini · 11/05/2014 11:07

We use conceive plus too, it does the job Smile made a right mess the first time I used it coz I squeezed the tube too hard forgetting it is much more watery than the one we used before ttc! But once I got the hand of it its been really good.

kurama · 11/05/2014 11:47

must not poas! must not poas! lol fx for everyone this week Smile

spinningirl10 · 11/05/2014 12:04

Thanks ladies, not used anything like it before but reading reviews the trick seems to be not to use too much!
