Wish af would just show her ugly face now. Had enough of this spotting, its so pathetic. At least if she arrived I could think towards the next cycle and ovulation again!

Great news Nyan!

MrsGingerbread · 07/05/2014 17:31

Hi all,

I'm out - af has arrived - 2 whole days early, at only 10 dpo. Sad I'm devastated.

Ladies - does this mean that my lp is too short for an embie to settle in before af arrives?

I was on Seven Seas 'Trying for a Baby' pills, where my cycles were an extra day or so long. However, Doctor recommended PregnaCare and af was one day early last cycle, and two early this time. Could the change in vitamins have made a difference? (The make-up of them doesn't look that different).

Is there a vitamin or supplement in particular that I need to be making sure I get plenty of? (Google suggests a complex B vitamin - not even sure what that means!)

Any other suggestions?

Sorry for the rambling thread - just really not sure what I need to be doing, and I am sure the Doctors won't be interested as this was 'only' cycle 3. Sad

MissMrsMummy · 07/05/2014 17:43

MrsGinger I changed to Pregnacare a few months ago and my cycles got shorter like you!

So I am now taking WellWoman as they have something that settles your cycles. I am also taking 2x50mg of Holland and Barrett vitamin B6 and it has helped my LP - It was 12 days last cycle and 10 this time (it was previously 8/9 days).

A LP of 10-14 days is good. So do you think yours is 9 days? Hopefully the vits will give you an extra day or so x

MissMrsMummy · 07/05/2014 17:44

Ps sorry AF got you Sad

EnglishGirlAbroad · 07/05/2014 17:44

I don't think 10day lp is too short Ginger so don't worry. Cycle 3 is still relatively early but I know its hard, especially when people seemly get upduffed by merely looking at their dp. Try not to be hard on yourself, enjoy some wine, gear up to jumping on dh in a couple of weeks. Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 07/05/2014 17:45

Oh MrsG, how rotten for you! Doctors say that a 10day LP is fine, but personally I don't think it is ideal (I'm about 11days ) MissMrsMummy recommended to me to try vitamin b6 (50-100mg extra) per day to lengthen it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's working for you, isn't it miss?
I think when my cycles settle down I'll see a difference (they certainly aren't getting any shorter!)
I have read from a few lovely ladies on here in the past, that pregnacare didn't work so well for them and for other BFPs. I'm taking it myself.

Major x-post!!!!

MrsGingerbread · 07/05/2014 18:13

Thank you, everyone. :) What a lovely bunch you are!

MissMrs - interesting that Pregnacare shortened your cycles too. I am going back to my Seven Seas (still have some left). They only have 1.4mg of B6 in - so looks like I can take 50mg or even 2x50mg on top of that without overdosing on the stuff. Does that sound right?

Kitty Excellent! I shall order some B6 from Amazon and start popping it straight away. Thank you!

English - I think that makes my lp 9 - which seems to be on the short side. Loving the sound of wine though... Smile

Do you mind if I stay on this bus? I don't feel ready to leave you guys yet! Although actually, my BFP would be due on 1st June anyway - assuming it doesn't jump the gun again!

Thank you, sorry for moaning! I'll stop now! Thanks

KittyVonCatsington · 07/05/2014 18:21

You're not moaning, so don't stop, MrsG! These buses are great for those with varying experiences and if we didn't talk to each other, we'd all go crazy Grin That, and there are others in the same boat as you that may be wondering the same thing.

Which reminds me. English, during the second half of your super long ano-cycle, did you get wet cm? I keep checking (maybe a good poke will kick start it!) and the past two days, seems really clear and wet, but not ew. Could I be gearing up for a late late ovulation, do you think?

OP posts:
EnglishGirlAbroad · 07/05/2014 18:28

Moan away MrsGinger! I think 9 days is probably not ideal, if you're worried see your gp. Or try the vit b6. Just be easy on yourself, we're here if you need it.

Yes Kitty, I had some ewcm a few days before my period eventually came. To the point that I though I must be ov'ing, but af arrived a few days later. Hope it signals the end to your long cycle too.

KittyVonCatsington · 07/05/2014 18:36

Cheers duck!
