The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Amazing weight loss broody! I'm also a carb dodger but I really don't think a bowl of Special K will do you any harm! Let us know how the GP goes today, hopefully she can give you some useful guidance. I've also known of people trying the pill to regulate. Good luck!

Ellisisland · 15/05/2014 10:26

Stop talking about dieting while I am eating a chocolate muffin ! Grin

I have my test stick all ready for tomorrow morning. I'll be POAS first thing if anyone is about to hold my hand Smile

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 10:44

I just salivated slightly reading that Ellis! I get up around 6am and am usually checking emails around then too so will make sure to check my mumsnet app and offer some virtual handholding!

bythesea82 · 15/05/2014 10:52

Mmmmmm chocolate muffin Grin

I'll be ready to reach out a hand (prob not till nearer 7am!) Fingers crossed x

Jetpackplease · 15/05/2014 11:17

Congrats on handing in your notice Tanny - it takes guts and is def the right thing to do if you're unhappy. Fear is a good motivator too! I'm desperately trying to get a new job and have had some interviews that I'm waiting to hear back from - trying to sort out my life and hoping that it also takes the pressure off ttc.

Speaking of which, I'm out for this month. Tiny red strands on wiping tell me that AF is going to be here bang on time Sad. I never thought I would be such a close observer of my secretions! On the plus side, I'm very grateful to have got back to regular clockwork cycles so soon after the mmc, and can look forward to some dedicated baby making tith in June Smile. Broody and Kate I really hope you guys get some useful medical advice about helping your cycles back to normal - I don't know how I'd cope with what you're going through Thanks

Reasons not to be sad about no bean this month: I can have lots of Wine on my upcoming holiday and eat all the stinky cheese and barely cooked seafood I can squish into my gob; if I do get one of the jobs I'm applying for, I'm less likely to start it upduffed; one more month to save for my maternity leave for if when I do eventually need it. (Of course, I'd happily swap all of that and more for a healthy bun in the oven, but we don't actually get a choice, so no point dwelling on that.)

Fx for all poas-ers tomorrow. May the god of pink/blue/purple lines smile upon you. Definitely want some good news and as many BFPs as poss to keep us all going Smile

Ellisisland · 15/05/2014 11:22

Sorry AF got you Jetpack but hope you have a great holiday.

DS normally has me up at half 6 in the morning so as soon as I have stopped him jumping on my head I will POAS stick and let you all know. Fingers crossed for anyone else doing it tomorrow as well.

I have saved another chocolate muffin as either a celebration or commiseration treat for me tomorrow Grin

broodylicious · 15/05/2014 11:34

Who said chocolate?! I just put my weight back on even thinking about it Wink haha!! Just called the gynae assessment that saw me 11 weeks ago today (Sad) to ask for any last minute advice on seeing the doc. She said I should defo be investigated and likely to be called in for a scan. As soon as she said "pls try not to worry, we will all do our best for you to get this sorted", that familiar eye prickling happened again. Thought I'd got stronger, apparently not...

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 11:55

Oh broody you poor thing. It's normal to get so upset, I completely fell apart last month over mid cycle bleeding - just because it was such a horrible reminder of what had happened. You're on the road to getting answers let us know how you get on x

broodylicious · 15/05/2014 12:29

Still at docs. Blood pressure ok (surprising, I feel mega stressed out!) but he sent me out the room so he could call the gynae consultant at the hospital for advice on how to help. Now feeling quite frightened....

tannyLoo · 15/05/2014 12:43

Hope you're ok. Really good that he's checking with gynae rather than fudge it...

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 12:55

Agree Tanny that's a good sign

Ellisisland · 15/05/2014 12:57

Broody - it's good they are checking you out. Hope you get sorted soon.
I am the same way with the prickly eyes. I rang my doctor to complain about them sending me letters about pregnancy when I had miscarried and the woman was so sympathetic I got all choked up. So it happens to us all.
Hope you are not kept waiting to long. Do you have someone with you ?

broodylicious · 15/05/2014 14:01

Hospital at 330. Date with dildo cam again SadSad

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 14:10

That bloody thing. Thinking of you broody and at least you'll be getting some answers.

Ellisisland · 15/05/2014 14:23

Fingers crossed for you Broody. Hope you get the answers you need

bythesea82 · 15/05/2014 14:34

Hope it's ok and you can get answers and move past all of this. I'm sending you a virtual chocolate muffin.....

Metalhead · 15/05/2014 14:52

Good luck with your scan broody, I hope they find what the problem is and get it sorted sharpish.

(Am I the only one who wasn't fazed by the dildo cam btw? [embarrassed] I mean, don't get me wrong, it wasn't exactly my idea of fun, but I can think of far worse procedures... Maybe I'm just weird!)

Jetpackplease · 15/05/2014 15:19

Good luck broody. Hope they can tell you something useful, even if it's just putting your mind at rest that everything in there looks ok.

Metal I didn't mind dildo cam either - had 4 dates with it during/after my mmc pg. It helped that they were all with the same lovely Dr at UCH who was the most kind and reassuring medical professional I've ever encountered. If anyone had to tell me the pg was doomed whilst probing my most intimate parts with a stick, I'm glad it was her (I appreciate saying that out loud sounds weird Smile). I'd take dildo cam over a speculum any day.

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 15:42

Jet pack I was also at UCH and came out with such an enormous love for the NHS! Agreed that if anyone who had to do it I was glad it was the lovely doctor there. As for the nurses I mostly couldn't speak highly enough.

Justonemoretime · 15/05/2014 17:34

I love UCH, too. I go straight there now, I don't bother with local services.

They told me to come back next one I was pregnant at 7 wks for a scan too which is a nice option for reassurance when the time comes

FlorenceandZebedee · 15/05/2014 21:17

hope thank you for the clear blue OPK advice. I got the flashing smiley faces and the solid one and dtd accordingly Smile (actually very helpful as found out I ovulated 2 days later than I had thought) Anyone else about to start the 2 week wait?

Littlelady33 · 15/05/2014 21:50

Broody any news? Hope all ok at hospital and you got some answers at least

TallGiraffe · 15/05/2014 22:57

Give me the dildo cam over that hideous ratcheting speculum thing that they used during my hemorrhage any day. Nothing like having 3 faces peering into your nether regions at once to realise that your dignity was well and truly left at the door.

silverine · 15/05/2014 23:18

Broody how did it go at the hospital? What did they recommend?

So ewcm has made an appearance and the DTD period must begin now until about Tuesday!
Only problem is DH is on late shifts so he won't be back until after midnight and I'm already struggling to keep awake... [yawn]
Not surprisingly, he's tired too straight after work, so already called dibs on me being on top.
Ah well it has to be done - I'm not wasting ov and all the acupuncture treatments this month! Wink
