So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

Cd 15 and still not even a hint of a line on an OPK! Fuck my life!

Hi ladies. Cd7 here. Started opk yesterday. Doing mornings on the cb flashing smiley sticks and evening on the cb plain style. Yesterday both negative, this morning negative, this evening smiley. How is that possible to ovulate only 7 days after my period?? We haven't even started DTD yet! Tonight was the night but for goodness sake ovaries, what are you doing!?

I've been using ics and had a feint line for a couple of days now. Until I day when I had just had a line that's barely there at all.

I was expecting the lines to get gradually darker from the end of AF to ov. Does this happen to anyone else?

A +tive OPK will be as dark as the control, if it's not as dark it's not +tive. I started testing at cd7 and have had a few VERY feint lines and pretty much nothing the past couple of days. Using my cbfm in the morning and ic in the afternoon. Still low on cbfm. Trip to the doctors for me soon.

Only on TTC#1 cycle 1 so I know I shouldn't expect much. But couldn't help feel a bit sad.

Anyhooo positive plan for the May bus and cycle 2 - gonna buy me some preseed and keep trying the cough medicine.

A mate today who has been together as long as DP and I have, announced her pregnancy on fb - happy for her, but made me think "I want that too"!!!

My Mum went through menopause at 36 and I desperately worry the same will happen to me and I'm 37. But I also need to stay positive, early days yet.

im annoyed at mo dtd wed and now cant dtd till at least sun eve as dh is on all early starts this week and by time I finish work hes to tired to do anything.... not his fault but still.

I tried opks last month and never got a positive either. Temping did show a peak though... Can temping prove I am ovulating? Or are opks more accurate?

Temping is more accurate MrsGinger, but it only tells you when you've ovulated. OPKs at least give you a heads up that's it's imminent, but they aren't always reliable. Hope that helps

My body is confusing me girls! Positive opk on Tue, cd11, but my cervix is still very high and still lots of ewcm, so have I still not actually ov'd yet? Today is cd14.

Oh yeah and my temp has gone up today

I could be wrong but temp going up means you have just ovulated which makes sense for you-women normally ovulate 12 to 36 hours after a positive OPK. All sounds as if things are working as they should linda.

Sounds like more than can be said for me and English. CD19 for me and still a flashing smiley, with feint lines. Before mc, I got a positive result two months running on CD18 and ovulation pains CD19 and although was using cheapies in December with no positive result, got ovulation pains on CD19. My body seems to have forgotten what to do!

Our bodies play funny buggers when ttc don't they? The ov thing is very confusing when it changes so much each cycle. I think this might actually be the first of me ovulating since stopping the pill. I'm getting my day 21 bloods done just to make sure it is happening

I had my mc late dec/early jan and my body is STILL being an arse. I hope yours becomes more regular soon than mine seems to be Kitty! So bloody pissed off.

We've used the softcups this cycle to see if they help, we dtd on cd7, cd9 and cd13 and we used the softcups on cd11, cd12 and cd14 so it's just a waiting game now

Lindamagoo - just had to google soft cups when ttc and wow, ive never heard of those! Might give that a go.

tooth they are really good and a lot easier to put in and take out than I thought they'd be. I just get my oh to do his bit into the softcup then put it in with a little conceive plus and you can leave it in for up to 12 hours so none of the little swimmers escape

just suggested that to my dh to try and take some of the pressure off him and he got all huffy and said there wasnt any pressure. what about when ur too tired....well ull just have to do without real nice ttc attitude there dh!!!!
