Moving on to May...Lets get start acting like Spring rabbits for BFPs in May.

So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

Hibou, that's exactly how dh and I felt when we were trying for our first. It had gotten a bit clinical and felt like we were only dtd for one purpose and not for the fun of it

I got pregnant after we had sort of stopped trying for a bit so frustrating as it is relaxing does actually work!

All these years we are told it's really easy to get pregnant and do everything we can to try not to and when we get ready to have a baby it turns out it's actually quite difficult to get the timing right! I'm not telling my DS that when he's a teenager though!!!

Haha thanks for advice - it's so frustrating, this month is our last month trying as because I'm a teacher and for financial reasons we want a baby no later in the year than feb really so taking a break after this month. Which is why i really really really want it to work this month :D

P.s I know it often doesn't work like this - started trying in Oct, thought it would've happened by now :/ bit naive!

Hibou I've felt exactly the same. And it's really hard not to make it about a purpose rather than because you and DH love and want to have sex with each other. Frankly, with an 18 month old, we're LUCKY if we manage it once a week. So I get a bit tense around ovulation because I'm thinking, damn if we don't get to it, that's another month gone. It's very hard not to make it a means to an end rather than for enjoying in the moment and for its own sake.

cd4 and af has buggered off. let the fun begin!

or not. after nothing seen from af for 48 hours it comes back with vegence 5 mins after dtd..

Haha kurama mine often does that too. Likes to surprise us, sometimes in the middle of dtd. Like "Ha, you thought I was finished did you?!".

These past two not trying months are seriously dragging :-( Roll on middle of may, I want my June bfp! I will be doing every tip (thats a new one thx missmrs!) & im going to get my zita west book back out.

I need to stop buying things too, even though i can afford whatever i want money no worries for pfb, ive decided to do it as cheap as poss....this months buys inc a mamas & papas moses & stand rrp £145 for £5 not a mark on it & a shabby chic project mothercare cot rrp £99 for £3. Just being picky abt at paint I can use now. Feel less guilty about the new 'family' car with isofix now hehe xx

bellaboo I was thinking that this morning! My AF has just arrived and I'm already wishing it was weeks later so we can try again. What happened to just living in the moment?! haha. Going to try to enjoy these next couple of weeks. Grrrr.

hanflan it buggered off yesterday morn! still clear after dtd. then 5 mins later it looks likes ive been sliced open! (sorry for tmi) just makes me wanna scream. also my boobs have been looking kinda red and blotchy.... any ideas? dont wanna go to docs if its just a rash or something.

I'm away at my cousins and fit negative opk yesterday before bed. Also negative this morning, cd11 and usually get a positive so I'll try and poas again later.......it's not easy in someone else's house!! Good news is that I'm going home a day early so will be able to dtd tomorrow night

I'm opking again, never had a + tho, always faints last month. AF arrived early/long drawn out so god only knows where I am in my 2nd not TTC cycle lol.

I'm a car boot junkie. Fella goes for retro games & I tag along & have avoid old haggle. Sometimes people don't realise wt things are worth like the Moses...think he was doing a house clearance (but it didn't fit in with the rest of the junk he was selling) I don't mind scruffy just needs a wash, I don't buy anything with damage/tears tho. Cot was scruffiest thing but I could tell it'd been in storage & it'll do up xx

Ok I'm really starting to get the impression that people who get pg are not really trying and people who are (like us) find it so hard to get a BFP.

Could there be a real link between trying and not becoming pg?!

I'm on cd14, using cbfm and still getting low readings. After not ovulating last month, I was really hoping this cycle might be more normal. But no.

Doctors appointment this morning as been ttc for a year. Looked at my diary and I had my implant out on the 13th April last year. Naively thought I'd have a baby by now having got pregnant in a flash. Oh well.

Using opks - they did show double lines yesterday so as expected, 2 days before ovulation predicted on my days.

Hi all......I'm on this bus as well....cycles are still all over the place. Last one was only 18 days!

CD6 here....starting opk testing tomorrow.....we've only been ttc for a couple of months and I already feel like it's useless and I'm too old lol!

CD 12 for me and a -opk this morning. I'll test again later as line was quite dark so think I should get a smiley face later and I'll be back at home to dtd
