So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

?? Good luck, Spring Goddesses.

Go karuma lol

my opk lines are getting closer to matching Grin

GossipWitch · 15/04/2014 19:34

I was on depo for 6 years after ds1, but then I heard that it can take ten years for your body to get back to normal, so I came off it, AF arrived 2 weeks after depo ran out, was having protected sex and fell pg unknowingly 2 months later, this time its taking forever but it did take over 2 years to fall pg with ds1 and I'd been trying from 17yrs old (married young, divorced young too)

GossipWitch · 15/04/2014 19:34

what does cd6 or cd10 etc mean?

ChaircatMiaow · 15/04/2014 20:01

What's depo?

GossipWitch · 15/04/2014 20:03

its a contraceptive injection that stops you from ovulating for three months every three months you go back to get a top up, it can take a while to wear off !

lindamagoo · 15/04/2014 20:12

Gossip cd means cycle day as in cd1 would be day 1 of af and so on until your next af Smile

CrispsAndChoc · 15/04/2014 21:13

What opk's does everyone use? I'm new to this so could do with some recommendations! I've ordered some from eBay but if there are any better, I'll buy more! Do you test every day or from a certain point in your cycle?

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 21:54

Crisps I do 3 a day (lol) from about CD7 and I carry on until after the positive so I can see when the hormone reduces so I can finally stop DTD

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 22:29

Oh and new things to try this cycle - lemon juice!

Viperama · 15/04/2014 22:32

Missmrs do you really do 3 a day? I was thinking of May e kicking it up to twice a day this month. 24 day cycle last month so I'm going yo start testing cd6, which is on Thursday, better get my glam on.

Karuma, you and me both, I'm one day ahead of you so will kick off. Bring it on January baby!

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 22:38

Viper Yes because I almost missed ov the first time I used ics! Last cycle my positive was about 10pm so might have missed it again if I just did it tests each morning.

This may be excessive but I feel it's necessary for me!

I'm also on 24 day cycle and ov'd on day 12 last time which was a few days earlier than normal so I'm glad to have been testing basically from straight after AF. She's just gone now so I also need to get my glam on too! Reflexology and spa day tomorrow so that should help!

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 22:39

Ladies who temp - I need a bit of help as to what I'm actually looking for in my results! How will I know if I've actually ov'd? General rise in temps for a few days?

CrispsAndChoc · 15/04/2014 22:39

What's the lemon juice for?! I'm cd4 now so I'll start in the next few days then. I'll start with one a day but knowing me I'll be on three tests a day soon!

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 22:49

Crisps Lemon juice makes your body more alkaline and therefore more sperm-friendly!

I'm having 1 lemon a day diluted. You should use a straw to prevent tooth enamel erosion!

MissMrsMummy · 15/04/2014 22:50

Haha yes I used to be a one-test-a-day girl but those days are gone!

Viperama · 15/04/2014 23:24

So two tests and a lemon a day to keep AF away

kurama · 16/04/2014 00:00

go viper im also counting on sods law this month as im half way through personal training at gym and have lost 2 inches from my stomach. ill just get close to being happy with it and ill get a bfp thats my hope anyway lol Grin good luck to everyone!

MrsGingerbread · 16/04/2014 01:35

MissMrsMummy Temping, I see a big kick up just after ov,, but technically I think you are looking for 3 consecutive days where your temperature increases.

I've recently realised that MyDays has a graph option, so that helps you see it, rather than just looking at the temperatures.

Bangonthedoor · 16/04/2014 06:07

Hope it's not too late to join?!

I'm on cycle #5 Ttc #2 CD14 BFP due 1st May.

DTD CD11 and CD13 will also try on CD15 to cover it but pretty sure I ovulated yesterday or will do today as I have ovulation spotting every month which is a handy indicator Smile

CrispsAndChoc · 16/04/2014 07:37

Just added a bag of lemons to the shopping list...

Starbright24 · 16/04/2014 08:09

Hi Bang, welcome aboard.
2 lovely matching lines on opks. Slight dip in temp this morning and dp says he's too achey and can't dtd and has got up. Grrrr. I'll have to jump on him later. Easter Grin

MissMrsMummy · 16/04/2014 09:16

Haha yes Viper!

Thanks MrsGinger yay I got a few days of temp rise last cycle so looks like everything is working!

Good work Crisps! Don't forget straws as well.

Have fun Star We will be starting today too!

hanflan · 16/04/2014 09:18

Hi all! Is it ok if I join you? After AF being 3 days late (and me getting my hopes up) AF finally arrived late last night. Angry.
Now on ttc cycle 2. Due to ovulate around the 28th April, next AF due around 11th/12th May. Let's hope I can ward her off and get a nice BFP. Positive vibes!

Hibou7688 · 16/04/2014 10:24

I need to vent, I am sick of dtd feeling forced and 'for a purpose' it's affecting me, and I think oh too though he isn't saying anything. We said this month we'd try every other or every third day. Not due to ovulate for another week (I think) but still doing it anyways. Today I'm thinking 'we'll have sex today' and I know it shouldn't be like this. Arrrghhh. Anyone else? Or any advice?

hanflan · 16/04/2014 10:43

hibou No advice really. It's sods law that when someone tells you not to do something, you do it. So when people say "oh just relax, don't think about it, it'll happen..." you just want to tell them to eff off haha!
Instead of thinking "we'll have sex today", think of the positives. Look forward to it! Lot's of sex has got to be a good thing, right?
