For those starting TTC in April

I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!

Feel really annoyed with DP now because the one time we had a space of a couple of days instead of one day without dtd was the day I was ovulating because he wasn't 'in the mood'. I know I'm being unreasonable because I can't expect him to feel like having sex all the time but he wouldn't even let me give him and 'encouragement'!

I've not been very active on the May bus, while AF is still here. Seems such a long time to wait!

Anyway, you're not out until AF arrives so there's still hope for April :) x

I don't get paid till tomorrow so can buy another test tomorrow but think I'll leave it till Tuesday so that I can use FMU n if by Friday still no AF n no bfp will have to go see the doc n see what's going on

Hey girls, I'm really late to this thread but just had to join as you all sound as crazy as me about poas and symptom spotting!and that alone has made me feel so much better!

What about this for crazy - I was on the pill for 16 yrs...came off it in sung when we got married...been TTC #1 since but it turns out I'm not ovulating at all .....however I am still about to go poas!! AF due tomorrow then im starting Clomid on Tuesday to my ovaries stimulated! I feel mental - I know I'm not even ovulating but still convinced myself I'm preggers!!

Lil your not beig unreasonable! When DH wouldn't DTD one day I went in a right strop haha! Little did I know we'd already caught

Not ovulating! That's nuts!

I know! It's so frustrating! ?? we were trying for months and nothing was happening....started using opks and didn't get any smily faces! All those wasted months!!
Then started all the docs, bloods, and internal scans ??

Hopefully these tablets will sort it all out!
How many weeks are you now ducky? You feeling good? I can't wait to be pregnant!!!

I'm not too sure to be honest! I thought I was 5+2 and midwife thinks I'm 7+3 but I'm having a scan the week after next to confirm dates

Haven't had many symptoms which is starting to worry me! I have has some insomnia and am a bit tierd and eating loads but no sickness or anything

So exciting for you! My friend was the same as you - she had no symptoms and kept poas all the way up to the scan! Try not to worry....easier said than done I know!

Welcome blondie!! You sound like you'll fit right in here with us!! We're totally nuts about poas - I started about a week before AF was due It is really easy to convince yourself, isn't it? When did you get married? Congrats! Hope your tablets start working quickly and you get a BFP sooooon!

Thanks lillamyy ?? we got married in August....don't think the hubby was ready for the crazy baby lady tho! He doesn't know that half of what i do! Forever poas! It's so easy to convince yourself...how long have you been TTC?

Start clomid on day 2 and take it for 5 days....then back to doc for another internal scan on day 10 to see how many eggs there are! Clomid increases the chances of multiples so if there are lots of eggs there'll be no dtd this month!
If there are only 1/2 eggs it'll be back to the opks....I spend my life counting down days!!!

Aww, I expect you've got more patient since you started TTC. I'm only on month 1 and I'm going mental!!

Ducky - I reckon when I'm pg I'll be doing exactly the same!!!

You never get more patient! In fact I get more and more inpatient every month!

Lillamy, I'm feeling completely impatient on cycle 1 too... Was hoping to put it down to the novelty of it all but have a feeling that Blondie might be right and impatience/craziness is only going to get worse...

I now have a total of 8 HPTs in the medicine cupboard. Ridiculous when there's still at least 9 days til AF is due. Every time I go shopping I always end up in the family planning aisle!

Blondie/Ducky, never tried opks, don't really know how they work?? Not sure if it'll be worth it next month, because by the time I get back from Spain I'll be on day 15 of my cycle (presuming AF comes tomorrow) so will either have already ovulated or be ovulating that week (I think it was around day 18 this month, but I'm just guessing really because I noticed I had ewcm that day - tmi sorry!). DP's going to make sure he's not working the 3 days after I get back so we can hopefully dtd as much as possible .

They're a bit like tests lil, you do two a day, I did them around 2pm and around 7.30pm (fmu isn't good for these) and when you get 2 strong lines it means you will ov in the next 28-36 hours although from doing way too much reading on the internet it would appear tracking cm is the best way!

If you wanted to try opks you can get something like 40 cheapies off eBay for around £5

I had that day before yesterday. Might be a good sign? I know before my AF I don't usually have much cm...

It can be something to do with implantation or my midwife says it's just 'pregnancy discharge' ewww I hate that word.

Cupcake, I'll be surprised if you're not pg!! It sounds like you've got some symptoms How late is AF now?

Just read that creamy cm is a pregnancy sign!!!
