I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!
Please join me!

That's rubbish Kato Sad. Sorry to hear that.

Still, I hear the May Club is really the club to be in... Wink.

Cupcake92 · 26/04/2014 10:31

Thanks Kato :) think I may be out soon as I also have a slight cramp :/
Still keeping fingers crossed! So gonna quickly go swimming now just in case haha!

lillamyy1 · 26/04/2014 10:40

I just had a look at my calendar and realised my cycle was 31 days last month (it's usually between 29 and 35 - really annoying!) so Sunday may still be a bit early but I'm gonna test anyway!

Welcome tick and hull Smile

Cupcake92 · 26/04/2014 11:09

I'm so nervous about testing tomorrow morning :/
If it's bfn I'll be so confused as I'll be 4 days late for AF.
I'm so so praying for this bfp !

lillamyy1 · 26/04/2014 11:13

I know, it's so nerve-wracking!

Ducky23 · 26/04/2014 11:36

Sorry kato Hmm that's crap.

Cupcake you best get a BFP!!! It's the only explanation! Any symptoms?

elcarmen2010 · 26/04/2014 11:37

Oh no kato :-( fingers crossed for next month!
I'm feeling nervous for Sunday club also. I have work early tomorrow, I'll be up at 5:30am so don't know whether to test first thing or wait until I finish work. AF is due tomorrow....

alizeeod · 26/04/2014 11:39

It's a BFN for me!

lillamyy1 · 26/04/2014 11:42

Did you just test ali? when were/are you due?

Ducky23 · 26/04/2014 11:44

When's AF due Ali?

Carmen first thing is usually best as it's more concentrated :-) good luck!

kitkatkaty87 · 26/04/2014 11:49

I'm in the may club kato and Ali - you can join me :)

I'm feeling absolutely exhausted today despite DH getting up with DS this morning to give me a lie in. I'm hoping its a sign but don't want to get my hopes up. Also I thought pregnancy tests were 99% accurate from the day your period is due? That was definitely yesterday for me and got a BFN.

Cupcake92 · 26/04/2014 13:38

Well I'm mega bloated and dunno if this is a symptom or not but I feel so crap n down :/ n I'm on holiday so I shouldn't be! Don't understand why I am :( if happily go lie in bed for the day. N my lower back aches a lot!

Cupcake92 · 26/04/2014 13:39

Bugaboom I got a bfn on my due date of AF when I was gp with DS n I only got a bfp about 5/6 days after n is same now I got a bfn on my AF due date so I'm hoping tomorrow I get a bfp!

Cupcake92 · 26/04/2014 13:40

Pg with DS**
Stupid auto correct!

Ducky23 · 26/04/2014 13:40

Cupcake I was soooo bloated! I looked pretty much the same I did at around 6 months pregnant! And think I still bloody do!

Boom - I know someone who only got a positive 2 weeks after AF was due, I have seen quite a few threads on here about that too with people in similar situations. Smile

lillamyy1 · 26/04/2014 13:41

Thanks cupcake. I guess it's either AF or pregnancy hormones? Both can make you emotional! Fish n chips by the sea might cheer you up?

Bugaboom · 26/04/2014 13:54

A quick bit of googling also confirms that they are not necessarily as accurate as claimed on box. I think if you get a positive it is very unlikely to be wrong but false negatives are fairly common. One website recommended waiting until one week after AF due!
Cupcake- can you go and treat yourself to a big slice of cake. Whether you are premenstrual or pregnant it may help! Thanks

Ducky23 · 26/04/2014 13:57

Hope you get something to cheer you up cupcake Thanks

Bugaboom I have also read that. False positives are very rare while false negatives are common. Hae you been using the same brand or changing?

kitkatkaty87 · 26/04/2014 14:38

Ducky how faint was your first positive?

OP posts:
lillamyy1 · 26/04/2014 15:34

Can I ask how often everyone's been dtd this month? We were every other day until last week.

Ducky23 · 26/04/2014 15:41

Kitkat it was so faint it's ridiculous. I have it stuck to my mirror cus everyone laughed saying I was making it up. If you tilt it in the sun at just the right angle there's a slight shadow. But it was a cheapie, did it after with a first response and the line although still VERY faint was easier to spot. It then got slightly darker the next day and then lighter the day after and now if I do one the test band comes up straight away even before the control band and it's very dark Smile

We were DTD every other day and then two days in a row when we thought it was ov time and that seemed to have worked Smile

Bugaboom · 26/04/2014 15:53

We only did it twice the week I thought I was fertile, 4 days apart. Intended to do it every other day but thanks to toddler who gets up at 5:30 every day, we only had the energy for twice!Grin

Popple85 · 26/04/2014 16:09

We DTD four times during the five days before ov- we were both off work at the time so it was a good month to start TTC! Fx it's worked... If not next month will try every other day and see if that makes a difference.

Popple85 · 26/04/2014 16:14

What are everybody's stats? (Apologies if you've all done this already further back in the thread!) It would be good to see when BFPs are next due. Mine are:

TCC #1 Cycle 1, aged 29, BFP due 7th May
