I completely agree. Unfortunately I think it's all just marketing crap! I said to DH last night, it's scary how much money these pregnancy test companies must make...
Even though I fell for the marketing on the colourful box I still bought some FR ones as well. It just seems too good to be true - turns out it was! And plus, everyone implants at different times so detecting it at 8 daysafter conception must be for the minority! Anyways, I won't be buying them again...

Ducky23 · 22/04/2014 21:14

I was just thinking that, some people won't have implantation at 8dpo and implantation can take a few days and it's not until then the test can detect your hormones.

I think they try and trick you, if you read the small print it probably says 0.00001% got + at 8dpo lol. But i bet it bloody sells them! I got a feeling I'm in the wrong profession!

Cupcake92 · 22/04/2014 21:48

Exactly.
I'm still praying and hoping for my bfp gonna hold off see if AF stays away n if so I prob won't test till next week. But still crossing my fingers

elcarmen2010 · 22/04/2014 22:21

Me too cupcake! Even though I had a BFN today I still have sore bbs and I've been cramping today so hope its down to implantation which it could be? I'm 11dpo?
I'm trying my best not to test until at least the weekend when AF is due.
I'll be keeping everything crossed for both of us! Let us know and I'll keep you posted! :-)

elcarmen2010 · 22/04/2014 22:23

And Ducky, I think we are all in the wrong business! Pregnancy tests.....that's where the big dollars are!!!

Cupcake92 · 22/04/2014 23:06

Carman I still have symptoms too. I have literally just burst into tears because I can't paint as quick as my DH. I mean wtf?!?!?!!! I'm going crazy lol! I literally had a full on breakdown in tears. Haha oh dear

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 08:21

How is everyone this morning?

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 08:37

My midwife is coming in a bit. Bloody crazy. Still doesn't seem real

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 08:48

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 09:07

I think that's a good sign cupcake! When are you testing? And what are you testing with? Smile

Fingers crossed!!!

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 09:13

I'm going to stay well clear of testing till the weekend so I think ill test Saturday morning then AF is 3 days late.
Keeping my fingers crossed too :)
Good luck with the midwife Ducky!!

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 09:14

Not sure what to test with tho probably asda tests as I'm there on Thursday haha

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 09:16

I think the asda ones are quite good Smile

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 10:23

I'm ok and have calmed down.
Testing on Sunday so only 4 days to go!
Boobs v sore and swollen belly, period type cramps (mild) too. In other news, Kerry Katona stole a name from my short list (Dylan) yikes!
Hope everyone doing ok x

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 10:27

That's good Ali :)
Ooo weekend testers! Fingers crossed!
AF hasn't shown up for me yet.
Aw my cousin I'd called Dylan, it's a lovely name :) I love Theo!

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 10:27

Is called*

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 10:29

She named her daughter Dylan. I love it both for a boy or a girl. Not using it now though, it's going to become a chav favourite. Shame!

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 10:36

Oo never seen it used as a girls name that's interesting!

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 11:38

Haha chav favorite! Grin That made me chuckle.

Quite excited as I felt horribly sick this morning! Most people would dread it but it's made me really excited Grin

BearsInMotion · 23/04/2014 12:29

Still no sign of AF here Confused. Three days late now. I'll be another weekend tester if there is still no sign!

I love Dylan as a girl's name but DP vetoed it :(. I want Hamish for a boy, quite keen on Daisy or Molly for a girl.

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 12:38

Hopefully 3 bfp's then this weekend :)

kitkatkaty87 · 23/04/2014 13:20

Still no sign of ovulation with the opk sticks for me :(
Any idea when I should do a first pregnancy test, I was guessing a month from the date I stopped the pill. Im sure it will be bfn - but feel like i should at least check to keep an eye on whats going on!
Any ideas? Have been dtding regularly :)

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 13:23

What cd are you kitkat?

I never got a full on positive with my opk but just DTD every other day and that should cover it Smile

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 13:33

Afternoon everyone!

Good luck with midwife ducky
Bears in motion it's sounding like good signs
Cupcake you are so good waiting till the weekend I have become a poas addict.

Fx for all this weekend.

From previous with me I like the asda tests, only issue is not sure the line every gets defined enough not to second guess but good at early detection with a very faint line. Maybe get a digital to confirm. I have just poas with asda and clearblue plus (it came in a clearblue ovulation test) they both say can be used 4 days before af due. I am currently 12dpo. Asda a faint line just like yesterday and clearblue a BFP Smile

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 13:35

Yaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy rainbow!!!!
Congrats!!! So happy for you!!!

3 BFP's and counting! We are doing well!

Midwife has been and I got my lovely green notes Smile
