hey ladies,

bit of advice needed this afternoon -have bought the vitabiotics conception capsuals - anybody else used/using them? Any major positivr effects?

kurama · 03/04/2014 14:47

dont worry victoria i had a full on rant at dh over txt this morning as i found out a workmate who was brought in to act as my replacement (so to speak, she would have taken over my hours) if i got pregnant has just found out shes pregnant...... im extremely happy for her but it kinda felt like a kick in the stomach as we have been trying for about 2 years and have now had to move on to fertility treatment. Wine time.....

MrsExtraOrdinary · 03/04/2014 14:56

Cth is that the pregnacare, his and hers version. We've just started taking those this month. Nothing to report so far, except dh laughing at me as I'm pill pushing him!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/04/2014 15:12

cth, I've been using them for 6+ months... No idea if they're actually doing anything. Not sure they're designed to actively improve chances of conception, more to encourage reproductive health. Dh has been using them for about 4 months

kurama · 03/04/2014 15:32

i have pregnacare, i think its just to bring vitamin levels up to the right amout. ha mrsE my dh sighs and sulks at me when i remind him to take his. hes only been on them a few weeks. and im sure hes missed half of them!

cth1982 · 03/04/2014 15:45

thanks ladies - they are the trying to conceive ones but figure I probably am lacking to some vitamins - although I do eat grape nuts for breakfast which are a great source of folic acid

Zermatt · 03/04/2014 15:56

It's 11pm, Zermatt is already in bed reading her kindle and surreptitiously checking mumsnet on the sly), her DH is in the bathroom brushing his teeth...should they dtd again or not YOU decide.

(Said in the Big Brother voice)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 03/04/2014 16:03

Kurama last time it took us 2 years to get a successful pg. I'm hoping it takes a little less time so anything that helps is a help Wink I just stand over him with 3 pills and a glass of water and don't leave his side until I know they've been swallowed. He knows I'm a Control freak, fortunately he's so laid back it just washes over him with a giggle. Although I'm not even in my fertile window and dh just said what's in those tablets as we've dtd every night for 3 nts. He thinks I'm pushing Viagra now! Grin His libido is usually fairly minimal but improved I'd say! Hooray!!!!

lindamagoo · 03/04/2014 16:10

Arghhhhh the spotting has started so I'm out Hmm I'll hang around if you don't mind? Not ready to get off the bus yet...

MrBsMrsB · 03/04/2014 16:19

Came back to many messages that may have been a result of something I said earlier. I mean no offence to anyone at any stage in their journey - and I don't mean to be insensitive. 5 cycles is a drop in the ocean in comparison to some journeys - but again, 5 is like a lifetime to others. I'll be more aware of how I express my feelings - but please know the last thing I want to do is cause offence

Thanks Peace offering

MrBsMrsB · 03/04/2014 16:20

That message was also a "bump"

MrBsMrsB · 03/04/2014 16:23

And while I'm here - I'd like to tell you all about my success with Morrisons Brand Cough mixture.

If I'd known it would do what it did I would have been on it a long time ago. It gave me the sniffles - but my-o-my did the guaifenesin live up to expectations. Hope it works again this cycle

cowbiscuits · 03/04/2014 16:23

"Waves"

Hello! Are there any seats free? If not I'll stand at the front near the driver, because I'm nearing the end of my 2ww and may be hopping off in a couple of days. Who knows which bus i'll be getting on next....Probably just the May bus though...

ttc #2 (have a DS aged 18 months). This is only my 3rd cycle since stopping pill, I've had a long then a short cycle so far, so I don't know exactly when I'm due but I'm on cd28 today! I suspect this is a slightly longer cycle though, as I think I ovulated round about cd16. I've got the pregnancy tests in my top drawer in case AF hasn't arrived by Sunday (day 31)- determined not to poas before then.

Trying not to symptom spot. I've got senstive boobs and feeling a bit bloated and tired but that could just as likely be AF on her way.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/04/2014 16:23

Don't worry MrBsMrs, we all know that no offence was meant. We all have our own battles to deal with.
I'm glad I've been able to share mine with you lot, it helps being able to talk freely. So rant when you feel like it, we're hear to support each other

MrBsMrsB · 03/04/2014 16:25

linda I think there's a spare seat next to me at the back
and I have Costco Carrot cake please sit with me and share the calories

lindamagoo · 03/04/2014 16:38

Oh my MrsB you have won me over with that carrot cake, mmmmmmm, I'll gladly take the seat next to you... I have choc chip cookies and a double mars bar if you'd care to share? Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 03/04/2014 17:18

I'm sorry you feel so bad at the moment victoria and I was probably one of those people making you feel upset as I have only been TTC 5 cycles. However, I am also 33 and by your reasoning, I could be venting at those who are still in their 20s TTC. But I am not. The month buses are there to support everyone and for that reason, there are other threads to cater for specific needs. I like to think we welcome everyone (thinking of the Feb/BESH incident). Please feel free to tell us your worries and upsets and we will support you. But please don't tell us we can't. Thanks

sazzlehopes · 03/04/2014 17:48

Victoria I understand your vent, I got upduffed after 14 months and some months wanted to scream at the people complaining after 2 cycles...but I never did because the nice thing about these buses is that it welcomes everyone, including those very lucky instadiffers! However if you need a pick me up, tips, penis dragons for gawds sake then this bus is so supportive and fun I wouldn't have been anywhere else when I needed to feel better about it all.
However there is a 10 month plus support board and another group if you'd rather be with everyone in a more similar boat as you.
Good luck with it all!

Hello everyone else! Just popping in to see if ive missed any bfps. Come in you old timers...I'm rooting for you! Xx

KittyVonCatsington · 03/04/2014 17:53

Hi sazzle- how are things!? Sorry for not knowing, but is your 12 week scan coming up or have you had it? Grin

sazzlehopes · 03/04/2014 18:03

Hi kitty, please don't be sorry! Had it, I'm now almost 15 weeks! Scan was all good thanks, one healthy baby inside and now from the slowest 12 weeks ever time is flying by! Due end sept.
Love to lurk these buses though and cheer you all on from the sidelines! Hope you're ok kitty good luck with this cycle xx

gennibugs · 03/04/2014 18:05

checking in on the new bus.

The thing I love about these buses is that everyone is welcome and feels that it is a safe and supportive environment to vent, cry, laugh and support. I hope that doesn't change.

so on a needing support kick - I just ate 2, yes 2, twirls. someone give me a slap please!!!Shock

ps kitty - just noticed that we are the same age Smile
