Hi everyone!
Wow I go to work for an afternoon for the first time in 9 months and have a new thread and five pages to catch up on.

Sorry for the bfn spinning I don't know why not having a 2014 baby makes it seems worse than any other month but it does.

Pants about the spotting missmrs, hope you are wrong about the lp and maybe the spotting is something else?

Fingers crossed you did ov treacle and English.

Bfn for me again this morning. I think I've missed it this month, cb opk gave me smiley 10 days before I expected but took it as right and stopped DTD much afterwards, but no AF now 16 days later. Thinking about it I felt sick and had slight spotting last weekend when I originally expected ov so think my dates were right and PCOS messed the sticks up! Doh!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/04/2014 08:39

MissMrs, you know your lp is from ov to first full day of bleeding. Are you counting it to spotting?? Might give you an extra few days if you count until full AF.
Look into agnus castus, think that's supposed to help with short lp too.

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 08:48

Got some bad news.. Went for scan and got 5 follicles. Wasn't allowed trigger shot due to chance of too many eggs and my uterine lining is only 4mm so no where near thick enough for implantation. My consultant said that if I conceive this month it will most likely end in miscarriage. Also my right ovary is 3x it's size and left one is looking like it's going the same way.
I have been advised to not continue with this cycle, and no more clomid due to my health. It could cause huge cysts/infections/ruptures etc.
IVF is out of the question and IUI would be pointless.

Am I selfish to still continue to try this cycle even though the risks to me and potential baby? So confused right now Sad

GeorgieWilson · 04/04/2014 08:58

We'll ignore my previous post, 'twas all waffle. AF is here so I'm out.

Spending the afternoon with my lovely 5 month pregnant friend, will be nice to see her but Envy

Good luck everyone, I'll be lurking and waving green pom poms

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 09:04

Oh no Christmas that's so sad Hmm I can't advise you what to do this month but my heart would want to keep trying. Can I ask why IUI is a no go? There has to be something Thanks

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 09:04

Sorry Georgie Thanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 09:08

Christmas I'm so sorry, what a horrendous time you are going through. I couldn't possibly advise but completely understand you want to try any way this month. Have they given any reasons as to why the womb lining won't thicken enough? You must be in bits I'm so very sorry Thanks

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 09:11

Linda I would need to use clomid on IUI to ensure I ovulate & dh has low sperm count so odds would be against us. I wanna keep trying but I'm scared. The one thing that's slightly reassuring is that I would ovulate less eggs without trigger shot so not as high risk for multiples. I don't want anything to go wrong.

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 09:13

Mrsextra, he gave no indication why but I've looked up online and clomid has something in it that when used over a few months it causes less blood flow to the uterus or something. Was a tad confusing lol.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 09:16

Oh god what a nightmare, so they give you clomid to stimulate egg production but the same drug thins the womb lining. Christmas I don't know what to say. I do feel a but like Linda that surely there must be something they can try? Sad

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 09:18

Are you under nhs? I think I'd be paying for a private apt with a specialist at this juncture?

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 09:23

What an awful situation to be in Christmas Hmm how long have you been taking clomid? Could you not maybe even stop for a few months and maybe see if the lining repairs itself and your ovaries settle down and try again? x

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 09:28

I'm in Germany with the army as dh based here now. It's not nhs though.
Apparently there's no more options. Spoke to dh about it all and we will just continue naturally until we are ready to stop trying. I feel like I don't want to waste the chance this cycle, because it's not guaranteed that I'll release all 5 eggs, just a small chance it could happen.

spinningirl10 · 04/04/2014 09:28

Oh Christmas I'm so sorry to hear that. I agree with what the others have said, there must be something that can be done and have you considered going private? It sounds like a lot to take in, I would definitely want to speak to someone else for more info Thanks

spinningirl10 · 04/04/2014 09:30

Oops posted at same time. If I were you I would want to continue trying, maybe without the clomid as someone else suggested to thicken lining?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/04/2014 09:32

Oh Christmas, I'm so sorry. Isn't there anything they can give you to increase the lining of the womb? I've heard about the endometrial scratch?? It apparently stimulates the lining of the womb...I think. I've also seen online women being given a dose of hrt to improve it?? Might be worth asking.
Is the clomid to help with ivf if DH has low sperm count?

spinningirl10 · 04/04/2014 09:33

I must get the award for most stupid mummy today!!

I have sent my ds to school in blue clothes for autism awareness day only to find that it's not until the end of the month and he is the only child in school not in uniform....oops!!!Blush

GeorgieWilson · 04/04/2014 09:43

So sorry christmas

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 10:06

I too have been that mummy! Wink At least you remembered early! Grin I narrowly escaped sending ds in with a walking stick and flat cap, to be an old man called "Norman"! I wasn't listening as he actually needed to he a Norman soldier. Confused

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 10:06

The lining should go back to normal once my body is back to normal after stopping the clomid. They won't give me hrt for the lining because I'd still need clomid to ovulate. Clomid would only be needed with iui to induce ovulation. We don't qualify for ivf and we've already got ds. It's also complicated. I'm just going to let nature take it's course. What will be will be. I'm devastated that I have no more options but I have a healthy little boy which I feel so blessed to have. It crushes me that I may never be able to give him a sibling. Sad

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 10:26

Christmas I still would go for a second opinion. Is there anything that could be done to bring sperm count up? Extra supplements . I'm assuming you've probably tried that though. Was ds a natural conception?

I'm on cd9 today and got my first flashy smily. I have to say I did get very excited. Let the onslaught begin!

gennibugs · 04/04/2014 10:29

So sorry Christmas Thanks

ItsChristmaass · 04/04/2014 10:34

Thanks for all the support guys. Smile My best mate being a bit useless at the moment, she's due in 2 weeks but I feel she could still be a mate and not be selfish Hmm
I'm going to continue trying this cycle. On cd 13 today so gonna keep going as normal and see what happens. I can't waste a opportunity when I don't know if I'm even going to ov after this cycle. I will be going to my gp again after me first cycle off clomid to see what she thinks.

broodysnoopstie · 04/04/2014 10:52

Christmas I have no good advice but very sorry to hear Thanks

in Broody world today was blood test so will see if I'm pg or not on Monday!!

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 11:09
