Seeing as the other thread has gotten soooo long (not that I have another ulterior motive ) I thought it's time we moved on here.

* May this thread bring luck to all who post on her *

Let me start by saying that I hope the first definite big fat positive dark blue line here is Bunny !

Og Bigbird!!! Just caught up on other thread about your appt!! Good luck for the lap and dye!!

ChaCha · 26/03/2004 17:27

Hi everyone. Keep trying smelly, fingers crossed for you. I am CD26 (am hoping dpo12) but have no symptoms whatsoever had a cold that came and went in 2 days and sore bb's, but that has all gone now. Think Af will be arriving tomorrow or Sunday.
Why is TTC so bloody hard!!!!!!!!!!

smellymelly · 26/03/2004 17:52

Thanks Chacha, it is so helpful getting support from these wonderful people I have never met... It makes it a little easier to go through the hard stuff.

Good luck and fingers crossed to you chacha, and everyone else trying this month....

bunny2 · 27/03/2004 19:40

ChaCha, and Smelly, any signs of af or of early pregnancy yet?? I'm looking forward to some good news please.

ermentrude · 27/03/2004 19:47

Bunny2 - how are you doing now?

bunny2 · 27/03/2004 19:51

Hi Ermentrude, thanks for asking, Im fine, no symptoms yet but I have a scan next week so fingers crossed. How are you?

ermentrude · 27/03/2004 19:54

I am doing ok thanks. Glad to hear that things are ok with you! Good luck with the scan! I have everything crossed for you!

As for me, AF has just finished today - cd8 (ish - think I started my chart a day or so too early - I can never tell quick when you count AF as having 'arrived' properly!) Seeing as my cycles are long, I don't have to start obssessing JUST yet!

I bought some 'heavy duty' zinc and vitamin c tablets today.
What else should we take?

ChaCha · 27/03/2004 22:17

Bunny, does that mean you have NO symptoms?!?
Wow, tell me more!

I am CD27 almost 28 and no sign of AF yet, BUT have cleaned the house frantically from top to bottom and that is usually a typcial AF sign. I have no AF cramping or pain. This is the first cycle EVER not to have them. Maybe my cycles are just getting better! Hugs to all x

smellymelly · 28/03/2004 11:29

No good news yet, I'm becoming just a little disheartened!!!!

But no AF yet either and my persona showed the flashing 'm' sign yesterday and today, to show AF should be coming. Last month AF came the first day I got the sign, so I'm just a little hopeful.... (does that all make sense??)

I'm only on Day 26, so quite a short month.

It's weird, sometimes I feel so pregnant, then I get realistic!!

Would I get the same symptoms every pregnancy?

Good luck still to you Chacha...

And fingers crossed for your scan Bunny2, Let us know, how many weeks are you now?

ChaCha · 28/03/2004 12:40

Good Luck Smelly! Fingers still crossed.
Am CD28, just waiting and watching!
Baby Dust...((( * )))

ermentrude · 28/03/2004 14:15

Hi there folks - a bit of advice needed. I am now on cd9. AF gone totally after being very odd. Previous cycle was about 34 days - ovulation around cd24 followed by spotting on cd29, 30 and 31. Then 2 nromal days. Then 3 days of spotting, 4 days of a light period then one day of spotting. That takes us to today. Only one day of AF was what I would call a proper period. I have also had the worst cramps I have ever known - I normally sail through pain free.

The other thing is that my temperature has never gone down again following AF starting - it is still above my cover line. I only started temping last month so have only one cycle of information to go on.

What do you think?

bluestar · 28/03/2004 14:57

ermentrude, would it be worth doing a pg test? Just from reading these threads, we all experience different pains/symptoms every cycle so there's nothing to say that you couldn't be pg. At least, it would rule it out and then you could maybe just put it down to an odd cycle. It seems strange that your temp hasn't dropped below coverline yet. But thats maybe just becuase mine does. Let us know what happens.

bunny2 · 28/03/2004 18:42

I second Bluestar, do a test, your temps should drop when af comes. If they stay up it could be illness or pregnancy (you're not getting a cold are you?). Just looked in my Toni Weschler book and she says it is poss to get residual progesterone for a day or two at the start of a period and your temp will drop after that but as yours didnt, that's irrelevant. Good luck!!! DO TEST

Hi ChaCha, I'm 6 wks tomorrow and have been incredibly tired since a day or 2 after I concieved, I wake up knackered and fight the urge to sleep all day long. Also, I am so hungry I ate 2 roast dinners today. But no sickness for me so far. It normally kicks in a bit later for me.

Moomin · 28/03/2004 19:10

Am now on CD23. We did LOADS of bd'ing this month. And forgot to say - when I saw the consultant and had a vaginal ultrasound, he said he could see the collapsed follicle which showed that the egg had been released when I thought. Hurrah!
I'm feeling very knackered and mega hungry as well (but at least bunny has an excuse!). Also feel quite irritated with dh with no good reason. Just feel like I can't be arsed. I didn't go into work for 2 of my 3 days this week because I felt knacked off with it all. It's not anything major but rather more like "yeah - whatever!"
I must have put on a few pounds this week, though, I've been eating for England (and the rest if the home nations if truth be told). I'm CERTAINLY not holding my breath this month, though. It's too much heartache. I'm just going to expect AF as normal.
Good luck all those who are coming to the end of their cycles XX

smellymelly · 28/03/2004 20:01
Sad
Moomin · 28/03/2004 20:04

Poor you, smelly. (((Hugs)))
It's so disappointing isn't it?
Better luck next month XX

bunny2 · 28/03/2004 20:27

Moomin, sorry you feel a bit down about it all, I found it so flippin' stressful. How long is your normal cycle ie how many days till test day??

Smelly, any news?

smellymelly · 28/03/2004 20:36

Bitch AF has arrived.

I'm very confused - I was so convinced that it would be a positive result.

But to look on the bright side - I have enjoyed a glass of wine, will be eating half a tub of peanuts I had to ignore, and I can wear all the clothes I bought on Tuesday, for longer than 2 months!!!!

ChaCha · 28/03/2004 20:47

Oh Smelly! Sorry mate! I am so sure that i will be right behind you. Having no AF symptoms as of yet, but this wont be good news if AF hasnt arrived by tonight (max tomorrow) as medication is supposed to be giving me a 28 day cycle! I cant bloody win! I need a holiday. I cannot look at anyone without them asking why i have not had kids yet...like it is my bloody own choice..stupid gits! Sorry..must relax with caffeine fix. adiós

bunny2 · 28/03/2004 20:52

Bugger, Smelly, I was sure too. Get stuck into that wine while you can! Hugs Bunny

smellymelly · 28/03/2004 21:29

Maybe I'm clutching at sraws, but...

How much blood do you lose when spotting occurs?

I don't seem to be losing a lot at all, and it is a mixture of red and a little brown, not normal for me, help....advice please. I do have slight cramping though. I probably just being too hopeful, but some hints would be great.

Moomin · 28/03/2004 22:51

Sorry, can't help you smelly. Whenever I've had unusual spotting, it's still been good old AF eventually. Try not to get too fixated - it'll just prolong the agony. Accept it's AF and then anything other than that will be a nice surprise. Put it this way, there ain't nothing you can do about it now... Sorry if I sound harsh - I certainly don't mean to but I've found getting obsessed with every omission from my nether regions has driven me bonkers over the last year.

Bunny - I've got a 28 day cycle, dead on every month. AF is due early on Sat. I usually get dreadful PMT on the Tuesd or Weds before it but didn't last month, partly due I think to the reflexology which really seeme to have clamed things down. Therefore, I won't know what to expect in the way of 'usual' signals that AF is on her way, I'll just expect her on Sat!

Moomin · 28/03/2004 22:52

I meant 'CALMED' things down!

Azure · 29/03/2004 08:58

Smellymelly sorry to hear about AF

smellymelly · 29/03/2004 09:55

AF is definitely here....

I'm actually happier now I know, putting your life on hold for 2 weeks every month is not much fun.

I will try not to get so concerned with signs next time, and just see what happens.

Cd1 then........
