Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

A belated Happy Easter to everyone!
I'm at a spa with some friends and I'm having a bit of a freak out Confused 11 weeks today and woken up to bleeding that's very like first day ERTD, not heavy, but dark red. Not had any spotting or anything to this point. If I was home I'd be straight on to the early preg unit, but they'll be shut today and I'm 100 miles away. Obviously if things are going wrong then there's nothing I can do about it anyway. Arg.
Sorry to bring the thread down, hope no-one minds Sad

Minion · 21/04/2014 07:52

Ness can you go to a&e? I'm not sure what to say but we read loads of stuff like this and it turns out to be all ok. Are you cramping with it?
Thinking of you, don't freak out too much, easier said than done, I know, but rest and take it slow today x

aylesburyduck · 21/04/2014 08:07

Ness im seconding a&e...

When are you due to come home? Also you may find if you ring the epu there might be someone there? worth a try.

xx

hotcrossbabblehag · 21/04/2014 08:16

yy to a and e here too, just to be on the safe side.

lala5 · 21/04/2014 08:34

I would try not to panic as spotting happens sometimes in pg but go to your nearest a and e or walk in clinic to get checked out. Hope you're OK x

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2014 09:09

Oh ness, you must be panicked! Not sure about A&E but if you can then defo go. Do the friends you are with know you are preggers? Maybe they can help? I do read about lots of people that have bleeding and it's totally fine. Would NHS direct be able to advise?

OP posts:
Wilhelminand · 21/04/2014 09:13

Ness I'm not sure the EPU will be shut, but if it is, you should be able to contact your midwifery team. They can advise what to do. I'm not sure A & E on a bank holiday would me the most fun idea and may just add to your stress. They may also just tell you to contact the midwives.

I hope all is ok. I do know people who have had bleeding and everything was fine.

Nessalina · 21/04/2014 09:16

Hi all, thanks for the advice Smile
NHS direct app says to see my GP and if I can't do that, then to rest and call 999 if bleeding gets heavy or I feel faint.
It's actually slowed right down, just a tinge when I wipe, so hoping it's just a burst blood vessel or something... Luckily I'm in the right place to take it easy, but won't be able to swim or anything now which is a pain.
Just going to keep my fingers and toes crossed and hope that's it...

RPopz · 21/04/2014 09:48

Hope you're ok Ness Sad x

lil1ady · 21/04/2014 12:03

hi all. sorry been mia. had a wedding to go to this weekend and getting ready for hol.

nessa hope you are OK. try not to worry and make sure you speak to someone back home soon as you can. no harm getting it put in your notes.

in the twot here. AF due whilst I'm.on holiday. do I take a hpt with me?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 21/04/2014 13:42

Belated Happy Easter everyone,

Ness i hope you're ok, why do these things always happen on bank holidays? Fingers crossed all is ok, keep us updated once you've seen a Dr.

No Easter eggs for me, I've recently realised that chocolate or anything too sugary gives me bad headaches, so I've asked everyone not to give me any. I got a nice plant from my Mum instead Easter Smile

Struggling with a bit of a family problem at the moment, someone close to me is on the verge of a mental breakdown I think, so I'm very worried and trying to be there for them.

I'm TWOTTING, but not thinking about it - partly because of the issue above, and also partly because I'm still on the 'Not-Not Trying' thing. It's amazing how easily I've managed to forget about it actually, it's like I'm having a mental rest from all the worrying. So last night I had red wine and dirrrrrty mouldy cheese! I'd recommend it!

Out into the garden for some gardening now. I've just gone and splurged £70 on plants at the nursery.... oops! I'm a bit of an amateur and don't really know what I'm doing ,I just buy what looks pretty...!

Enjoy the day Viroids.

Thinking of you Ness Flowers

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 21/04/2014 13:44

Lil AF due whilst I'm.on holiday. do I take a hpt with me?

Well, depends how long your holiday is... will the holiday take you long past your AF due date? If it's only a few days, you could wait till you're home. if it's likely to be longer... I would take a pee stick or two with me!

RPopz · 21/04/2014 14:08

Lots of us are TWOTing aren't we!

Where you off on holiday Lil? Personally I wouldn't take one. If AF arrives while you're away then so be it. If it doesn't then hopefully you'll be having do much fun you won't notice and it'll be (potentially) something nice to look forward to when you get back!

Hugs for you and your family member Mich. Break from worrying about ttc sounds good at least.

Hope you're taking it easy Ness Brew

lala5 · 21/04/2014 14:10

It depends whether not taking one with you will affect holiday - if you're just going to worry or think about it then take, if you think you can wait til you get home don't. Sometimes not having option is helpful to not obsess and test early?

ness if it's small amounts then taking it easy and seeing gp when you get back sounds like a plan.

I'm in post af limbo - going to get cape on this week though. Off to see some posh horses this afternoon, been invited by stable owner as they are same breed as mine and he's unusual for around here.

Have a great day!

lil1ady · 21/04/2014 15:38

thanks guys. I'm sure I won't need the hot as AF is more than likely to show, but there's that slither of a chance and I'm a control freak so I'm thinking its best to have one with me rather than be hunting around Cyprus for one! But then I think if I don't take one I might invoke sods law Grin

mich sounds like you've got plenty going on to take your mind of it. hope your relative is OK.

I'm back in bed. I hate feeling ill. thought it would be gone when I got up this morning.

whose next to test? AF due 2nd may here....a week before I get back from hol!

Wilhelminand · 21/04/2014 15:48

I think maybe Zyla is next? Definitely not me for ages anyway. CM suggests that I probably need to get on it today but Mr Nd is in a bad mood with me so I will have to come up with a cunning plan. Suggestions (that don't involve apologising)? Grin.

How typical that AF is due whilst you're on holiday Lil, that always happens to me too. Was the wedding fun?

RPopz · 21/04/2014 16:36

I ALWAYS get AF on holiday too. Don't know how I manage it!

Wedding hangover Lil? Or genuine poorly?

Not me for aaages either. Another 12 days to a fortnight depending on how long my cycle decides to be this month.... Hmm Feeling mega impatient already!

ZylaB · 21/04/2014 17:15

AF due on sun, so I might do a first response on wed fingers crossed

I'm trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to concentrate on other stuff that's going on like getting ready for holiday in a few weeks etc, but it's not distracting me too well lol.

Hope everyone had a good long weekend and hope everything's ok ness

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2014 18:52

If you are going to to be thinking about it lil then take one with you. Sod's law will happen either way - take if and AF comes or don't take it and you'll be late, worried and hunting in shops!

wil - apologising might be the best bet but you could try just turning up naked. Generally my DH finds that hard to stay angry at.

No testing here either, sounds like I am in similar cycle to popz and lil. Going to get on it tonight - end the weekend on a high!

OP posts:
hotcrossbabblehag · 21/04/2014 20:37

ness I hope your OK.

my AF is due the 3rd of may, I'm planning on poas on the 5th if its a no show, however it is my 1st cycle since coming off depo in July, and I'm only basing it on the 28 day cycles I had so regularly before. (6 years ago)

I'm already hopelessly symptom spotting, I've had a dull ache around my pelvic area all day and occasionally twinge in my groin, I'm desperately putting it down to my body not being used to proper menstrual cycles and I've had more action this weekend due to Mrbabble being off work, we normally only have it 3x a week, so that could also explain a lot, also had a break out of spots but I have had chocolate.

hotcrossbabblehag · 21/04/2014 20:39

wil does he have a particular outfit that he enjoys peeling you out of??? possibly turning up in that with his fave food:-D

Wilhelminand · 21/04/2014 20:50

I actually think he might have forgotten he was annoyed... I'm pretty tired but I really should make the effort.

RPopz · 21/04/2014 21:08

Get that cape on Wil! We need a sotm... mine was a paltry 9 this month! Grin

DulcetMoans · 22/04/2014 08:48

9 isn't bad popz if you have 12 days left. You can get a few more in!

Back at work after a week off. Not feeling it...

It's almost certainly ovulation time for me! Got our capes on yesterday and have warned DH I would be after the same tonight. He seems compliant but he has had to get up at 0445 this morning to leave early for work so he might not be so keen by the time he gets home. Still, it's the hopeful time of the month again where I can at least spend the next week thinking 'maybe this time' and symptom spotting!

OP posts:
Nessalina · 22/04/2014 09:18

Morning all! Smile
Feeling much more positive today, no bleeding since yesterday morning's splurge - hurrah! Hoping it was just a burst blood vessel on cervix maybe? It's going to make the week's wait for my 12-week scan even more of a killer Confused I WILL stay positive!
