Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

Hugs and everything! Xx

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 17:32

Thanks for the reassurance (again). It's a cbfm and I have been peeing into my ROC first thing. I'll just keep going and see.

And sounds hopeful Minion agree with RPopz I haven't heard of false positives, so buy more and pee again tomorrow! :)

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 17:40

Oh, and also a scientist... The only time I'm not sensible is when it's to do with ttc when I invent imagine read too much into nothing and see pg symptoms ;)

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 08/04/2014 18:41

Oh My God are you serious?? Min this is fucking fantastic. I have no idea about false positives apart from reading on here that they're rare and also I have never had one. I guess we're not supposed to be over excited at this point. Yes do another test tomorrow. But OMG!!! Oh this isn't helping with your freaking out. It's not weird to not tell until you're sure. Keeping everything crossed that it's still there tomorrow. Do you have any symptoms other than needing to pee?

God you lot sound a right clever bunch. Not a scientist. Although I did do a BSc, does that mean I can stay in the gang?

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 18:55

OMFG min I'm so happy for you! be Zen! poas again in the morning, a posh one! when is the convertible due to park? I really hope she's stuck in a 9m long traffic jam for you! Grin

I'm not a scientist, and didn't do a degree. I did vocational qualifications instead. dh has a bsc hons, does that count? Grin

I'm realising I use too many emoticons!...

oh and I have another scan booked for next Monday trying not to put a smiley!!!

Minion · 08/04/2014 19:23

She was due today but so far she's not parked in her usual spot. I hope she stays away tho. I've told husband, we are playing it down till we get a dark line tho.
I'm getting sharpish cramps, not as prolonged as ERTD ones, tho I'm wary it can go either way. Also intermittent back pain, but not as low down as ERTD back cramps. Awful acid reflux and quite a bit f nausea already.
Breadsticks are a little sore, had worse tho.
What prompted me to test was the 4 weeks and just a feeling that something was up.
All this week I've had an itch 'down there', thought it was an infection or thrush or something, woke up with a sore throat one day this week and yesterday thought I'd come on early and went to the loo and there was a bit glob of white cm. unusual for me before ERTD as it's usually watery.
I'm in shock really. Never thought id see that second line tbh.
Had to have a 2 hour nap this arvo but that may have been cause I finished work half 12 last night.

Nessalina · 08/04/2014 19:44

A BFP! Fuck fuck fuck! Grin Min that's BRILLIANT!! GrinGrinGrinGrin
Ahem. Lol. Excited much? False positives are very rare. If you follow the test instructions right, a line is a line!! Are you going to try a posh test tomorrow? First Response Early Response are the best by far, gave me a good solid line even very early on. Have you taken a photo? Where's our Can You See a Line link?! Grin
squeeeeeeeeee

Minion · 08/04/2014 19:55

I can't seem to get a good close up of it, it's dead blurry. Says a lot for my oh so top of the range not so smartphone eh?
Husband has just made me do another one. Bare in mind I've been peeing and drinking all day and it's night, the line has reappeared!
Good god.
Cramping though, so not getting hopes up. I'll do another in the morning if I don't get called from standby.
So glad your all here girls. I'm sending the PMA out to all my sistas! X

JuniDD · 08/04/2014 20:44

MINION!! Yes, do another in the morning. YAY!
Remember last time and I was going on about the cramping being normal? Tis normal. Can't wait for your update tomorrow.

re Preseed - DH & I been using for a good 2.5 years! It's a nicer lube than non-TTC ones and, as I read on another thread once "I just rub a bit on DH's cock".

RPopz · 08/04/2014 20:51

So pleased you told hubby Min!

RPopz · 08/04/2014 20:52

Lol, Juni, think that's what DH had in mind until we saw the instruction leaflet....... haha!

DulcetMoans · 08/04/2014 20:55

OMG min, amazing! You sound very calm! Do you have a digi in the house? Get it in writing. Then, you know the drill, we need details! What did you do differently??!

Always happy to talk about my kittens lala! We got the little one at Christmas after my old boy died in Nov. was very sad. This kitten is very naughty though and so active! Meant to be keeping her calm post-op but easier said than done!

lil - great they've fit you in quickly for another scan! We like it when it's less waiting!

Not a scientist here either but another with a BSc so it's something!

OP posts:
Minion · 08/04/2014 21:04

dulcet calm on the outside, quibbling like a weeble on the inside. Good at faking it tho, ha!
Didn't do anything different, just made sure when I got the second line on the opk I was ready and willing.
nessa they don't feel exactly like ertd so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

No digi in the house just the cheapies from amazon do that'll sate me for a while.

Not that I'm tempting fate or anything but I've just asked husband why the bin reeks, he can't smell it at all.

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 21:21

min a line is a line is a line! I've poas ic hot style many times and never a whiff of a line. so a line is a line!

and cramps are normal! don't forget the hormone that causes ertd symptoms is progesterone.. .the sane hormone that sustains pregnancy! so your pg symptoms will likely be more of ur ertd symptoms!

I have to say you've given me a teeny bit of hope min Thanks

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 21:21

*hpt not hot grrr

cookielove · 08/04/2014 21:27

Oh wow min how exciting, so very pleased for you :)

Agree we need a photo!!, i miss poas!!

I've had cramps almost the whole way through this pregnancy, worrying but normal! And lots of things smell and dh is oblivious!!

Minion · 08/04/2014 21:30

Lil awww well in that case I'll be sending you lots more. All of you.
I love our tight knit group of crazy sperm stalkers!
cookie hi! Are you enjoying it all? Anything that has surprised you?

lala5 · 08/04/2014 21:31

Oooooh! min !! Just read your line post. As far as I know false positives are rare!

lala5 · 08/04/2014 21:32

Wow is this the scientist (and silver tube flyers) fred?

Perhaps this is why we resent contraband - it pretends to promise control but there's still none...

lala5 · 08/04/2014 21:41

min we're all rooting for that strong line! Take a pic!

zyla flashing smiley is meant to be good - perhaps you're just super-fertile? Am echoing the 'damn contraband' statement of wil

wil I reckon I'd love mat leave but I think I'm accepting that its just not going to be the full amount :( we can't afford it.

lil perhaps we can be the scientists and emoticon-overusers Fred?

I'm TWOTing - is it wrong to try and drink wine as much as possible in that time, in fear of potentially having to give it up? I know this is wrong but some of you admit to having downed your folic acid with wine so I'm guessing you'll not judge me...

Been a fun day at work today, was doing some animal training. Trainer at the end says 'has everyone's bleeding stopped now?'.

That's when you know it's a good course ;)

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 21:54

lala flashy smiley face is meant to come a couple of days before solid icing smiley face! not for 8 days and counting...

As for wine, I don't tend to until ERTD but..... It takes a while for fertilised eggs to get implanted and to the stage of drawing nutrients doesn't it? So there's arguments for it :)

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 21:56

And what do you do lala ? Courses that end like that sound cool, some of mine end with being asked how bruised I am on occasion lol :)

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 21:56

...and I promise I'm not as weird as that made me sound!!

RPopz · 08/04/2014 22:02

Ertd time is wine time here!! Managing to abstain foe the rest of the month (unless its a mega emergency). Plenty of people don't abstain at all though so prob wouldn't worry!

Science is doing nothing for me so screw it! I'm being super unscientific and looking at reflexology and trying to make myself believe it'll work... who needs evidence based therapy

Min has got me thinking. How do you tell the OH if you test alone and get a bfp? I always feel like you should test together but that assumes not being a crazy early tester (which i totes am) and I wouldn't want to admit that to DH never mind have him there everytime!! Do they get upset about not being there for the testing? How/ when do you break the good news??? not that I'll need to know anytime soon

ZylaB · 08/04/2014 22:04

I've poas plenty of times without DH knowing. He usually knows I'm going to or has bought it for me, but often doesn't know exactly when I'm doing it, until he has to deal with the floods of tears...
