The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Broody I'm sorry you're having such a rubbish time. Sounds like a pretty awful wtf cycle. Hope it eases off soon.

Hope that your squinter is not a real line Tanny You've been through so much already it's definitely time for you to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Sebs are you still above the coverline? I had a couple of biggish dips on my BFP cycle although both above the coverline. Hope it turns out to be implantation or an anomaly.

bessie84 · 14/04/2014 07:39

aaahh sorry for ladies who got AF. (bitch bitch bitch) It really does knock you for 6 and make you not want to carry on, but after a few days, you'll be back to been positive, i promise, the love and hope in your heart is too much to give up on, all that love/hope and dreaming you want to give toa tiny person, so you wont give up.

huge hugs, the pain is all to unbearable.

Tanny, wow - you've been thru so much, hope you get answers soon. huge hugs.

Im CD12 - I got a flashing smiley on my clearblue thing, the test stick that i ejected after is the first positive opk ive ever had. so time to jump on oh tonight! (still need to get my "peak" on the monitor tho before i ovulate yet) x

OH THE JOYS, i hate Mondays. x

tanny glad you got the result you wanted this am.

As for me I am stressing the hell out! Still on low on my cbfm on cd 20!!!! I think I am broke :( x

zahazie · 14/04/2014 08:44

Feeling really Sad

All of my pretend symptoms have disappeared, had a huge temperature drop this morning, and I fear that AF is just round the corner. I have been trying to prepare myself for this, but I think I might have a mini meltdown when AF finally does show.

On top of all of that, DP and I had a huge row yesterday, and we're not even speaking now.

Sorry for the me me me post...

Hope you are all having a better Monday than me!

zahazie · 14/04/2014 08:52

sebs, just say that you also had a dip in temperature. Not sure what it's supposed to mean, but I now have had two: 5DPO and 9DPO, so not very good sign (although both are just above the coverline)

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 08:57

Zah same here. Big temp drop on 8dpo, recovered by only 0.04 this morning. Not below cover line yet but not far off. No cm at all. If today produces some cm there is hope (I had creamy cm in my underwear at 9dpo on my last BFP cycle). If not then I need to accept this cycle is a bust.

What did you have a massive row over?

zahazie · 14/04/2014 09:05

The row was about everything and nothing at the same time - I felt criticized and I got upset. DP is not good when I get upset and cannot see that I want to be comforted plus he's really bad at saying sorry. The whole thing just escalated....
It's difficult coz if AF arrives, I know that I will be really upset over that.

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 09:15

Bless you. I think it's just a stressful time and you are probably reacting differently because you have your mind on TTC. I know that there were times over the weekend when I was totally distracted and OH knew exactly what I was thinking about. It will be good to just get the next few days out the way and move on. The 2ww is always the worst time of the month for me.

officelady · 14/04/2014 09:15

Morning, gang. Sebs thank you for posting that link at the weekend about ttc and the 2ww and symptom spotting etc, it answered a lot of my "but why" questions. Even if it's just to say, sometimes shit happens and it doesn't mean that you aren't normal, eg annovulatory cycles etc.
Tanny have a "congrats on the BFN because it means you can go forward with testing and treatment REALLY SOON!" card. One of the few times a BFN is welcomed!
Sorry Zahazie but remember it's not over until the bitch shows up. I think we all try to prepare ourselves mentally for the disappointment but it doesn't make it any easier.

Fingers crossed I have come out of the other side of my wtf cycle and wtaf endlessly long period. Celebrated by jumping on dh last night, he was trying to watch Endeavour but luckily I was more interesting Wink We are trying the SMEP plan this month (I say we, actually dh is blissfully unaware of this!) so last night was the first attempt. I will be scheduling another session tomorrow in the build up to what will hopefully be ovulation sometime towards the end of the week or at the weekend. Luckily I'm off work this week so I'll have plenty of energy - poor dh though. He'll just have to lie there and think of England.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/04/2014 09:20

Morning ladies!
CD11, still 'low' on cbfm. Carly, I had a cycle of highs from cd15-26 last cycle. Never got a peak. I didnt end up ovulating. Hope you get your peak soon, you could just be ovulating late.

Sebs when i got my bfp i had a dip at 9dpo, slight recovery at 10dpo and then a massive shoot up at 11dpo. You're not out yet. fx for you.

Zah hope you sort things out with dp. I think ttc only exacerbates things when you're rowing with dp, I know I am defintely more sensitive at the moment. I've read on dr google that a dip at 5dpo is a because of an increase in eostrogen before progesterone creeps high enough, and 9dpo could be implantation - fx for you too

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 09:22

Ah Office I'm glad it helped. I read it and just thought it was hugely informative and did answer so many of those questions we all have, particularly during the 2ww. I'll post it again for anyone that didn't see it first time.

www.amandabears.com/faq.html

Dows anyone else get random cramping in the second week of the 2ww? I used to get cramping the day before AF only. But now I seem to get it at 7/8/9 dpo. I know it's not a good sign re. pregnancy unfortunately. Just wonder what causes it so far away from AF?

zahazie · 14/04/2014 09:38

thanks for your encouragement sebs, english and office!
office, I'll think you're definitely right in saying that part of it is preparing ourselves mentally for disappointment.

Penguin13 · 14/04/2014 09:52

Hi everyone. Just had my scan (6 wk 3 days) and I am amazed and happy to report that despite my symptoms suddenly dropping off over a week ago, there was our little embryo and a tiny little heartbeat flickering away. I know it's super early days so anything could happen but today I am pregnant.

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 10:03

Awwww that's the most FANTASTIC news Penguin. Made up for you darling xxxxx

Carly6971 · 14/04/2014 10:16

Fab news penguin it's amazing seeing that tiny little bean all comfy inside you isn't it? Xxx

zahazie · 14/04/2014 10:20

Really heartwarming news penguin, the future is bright

Metalhead · 14/04/2014 10:27

Great news to start the week Penguin! Smile

hippo I'm sorry your tests showed some problems, but hopefully you can get it sorted and get back to ttc soon. tanny I'm glad you imagined the line yesterday and can also get your testing under way now!

sebs before my mc I was getting lots of cramps in the 2ww as well, I was wondering if mine might be endometriosis as I read that can be one of the symptoms.

Sorry you had a row with your DH zahazie, hopefully you can make up tonight. It's difficult not to snap sometimes isn't it when you're under so much emotional stress.

I'm getting really desperate to poas or even for AF to arrive. I hate hate hate the 2ww!

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 10:53

Metal. I tested positive by 10dpo on sensitive tests with each BFP Grin. Go awwwwn, test tomorrow!!!

Metalhead · 14/04/2014 11:00

Oooh don't tempt me sebs! I'm sure I will be disappointed if I do, I didn't get my BFP until 13dpo last time. Might give in on Wednesday though as we're off on Easter hols the next day... (you can fish-slap me in advance for breaking poas rules! Grin)

tannyLoo · 14/04/2014 11:05

Yay Penguin! Today you are pregnant! xxx

Penguin13 · 14/04/2014 11:51

Thanks everyone. I'll still be lurking here and rooting for you all x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/04/2014 12:20

yay Penguin, that's lovely news!! Grin

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2014 12:37

Ha ha ok, I shall not cheer lead you into possible disappointment Grin

I am at the gym having done a class of Pilates, about to go for a swim and I am still having cramps!! I took two painkillers over an hour ago and they've taken the edge off it. I looked up endo and I wouldn't say I fit the criteria of heavy painful periods but ibviously yes to the painful abdomen. I guess it could explain why I'm not getting pregnant!!

anyhumanheart · 14/04/2014 12:52

Congratulations penguin and meryl!!! fantastic news.
penguin what a wonderful feeling to see that heartbeat Grin

Fingers crossed for you sebs, metal and zahazie.

Only 8 days since MC (at about 6 weeks) here, but am actually feeling pretty positive, had a check up at EPU during the week and my hcg had gone down quickly - from over 2000 a few days before the MC to less than 200 a few days after, so hoping we can get things going again soon. Diagnosed with 'complete' MC, and advised not to start TTC for one complete cycle, so there is no confusion with hcg levels. Think I will be irresponsibly ignoring this advice though Wink

Good luck everyone xo
