The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I thought so omama, it sounded textbook! Hope your pregnancy is similarly straightforward, and your fears cam subside soon.

Have a lovely day metal! Sounds bliss.

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 06/04/2014 08:34

Congratulations omama! Here's hoping for an uneventful, straightforward pregnancy Smile

Littlelady33 · 06/04/2014 08:41

Congrats omama!

sebsmummy1 · 06/04/2014 08:49

Congratulations omama xx

Well I think I'm 1dpo today. We will do a session of hide the sausage today and then we are done I think.

I made a pledge to OH last night that I will not POAS this month. My period always arrives on time so it would be very weird if it failed to appear and I wasn't pregnant. So the plan is to sit tight and just see if the bitch appears.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend. I gardened to an inch of my life yesterday and hurt today!!

Carly6971 · 06/04/2014 09:00

Congrats Omama :) wishing you a very dull and boring 9 months :) x

Viperama · 06/04/2014 09:37

Good morning ladies, and big congratulations Omama! Can you please share your stats with us so we can follow the Omama plan in future? Wink

So I'm 7dpo, I normally work m-f but working on a project in Cardiff this w/e ( I live in London) really glad as it's taking my mind off. Just finished a BIG hotel breakfast and heading to work in a few. I had no cm all week and it started up again yesterday....symptom?

Sebs correct me if I'm wrong but did you send us a pic of your front garden on an earlier thread? Can you send us a pic of yesterday's fruits of labour? I miss my terrace garden after just one day! Tulips are about to bloom, hope my other tulip blooms in 7 days iykwim x

Littlelady33 · 06/04/2014 09:42

That sounds sensible Sebs - and chances are it will be the one month you hold off on testing that the BFP will appear. I'm struggling a bit with the wtf cycle... Think I ovd last week, weds or thurs - may join you ladies in the 2ww and poas next Friday. Have had crazy amount of cramping over the past month - is that normal?

Sal1977 · 06/04/2014 09:43

How strange you lot are talking about gardening! Literally 3 minutes ago I was just saying to DH that if I ever went back to college/uni I would do horticulture as it frustrates me that I don't know much about it! I do seen to have green fingers in the sense that whatever I plant seems to grow brilliantly.....except the one thing that I really really want to grow! Hmm

MissHobart · 06/04/2014 09:47

Front Garden viper? Wink This being MN I automatically assumed this is the same as Lady Garden!!

Congratulations Omama!! All luck and stickiness to you! Grin

MissHobart · 06/04/2014 09:49

Sal - I wish I had green fingers, I'm crap with plants which is very bad as we have a humongous garden! Plus I hate gardening! Confused You will grow a tiny one one day! Grin

BobaFetaCheese · 06/04/2014 09:52

Viper, exciting about your tulips, hope they're out and proud on Monday morning for you. We have no outside space but are hoping for a move this year...so very jealous of Sebs saturday!

Massive congrats Omama!!

Sal1977 · 06/04/2014 10:00

I'm well qualified in LadyGarden topiary....

Carly6971 · 06/04/2014 10:05

How are you doing today missh x

Parsley2506 · 06/04/2014 10:23

sal maybe we all need to go to horticulture class and study up on bean planting, seems like we all need a lesson!

sebs that's a brave pledge. Make sure you tell us when you're having moments of weakness so we can talk you down! Wink

missh I hope you're doing ok today.

Yet another BFP from someone I don't think I'd even had the chance to say hello to! Congrats omama, all the best for an uneventful 9 months.

Well, I'm now technically 2dpo (according to my crazy CBFM that had me OVing at cd10 which was last Wednesday) but am ridiculously horny and tonnes of ewcm. I give up! Just going to keep on riding the gravy train till there's no chance we've missed it. Choo choo! Wink

Alright thanks Carley! Pretty resigned to the fact, got the house to myself for the first time in weeks, brilliant. Watching OBEM and I'm not even upset, it's no far removed from my life it's like watching a fantasy?! Confused

I think I'll be upset tomorrow sat in the waiting room with all the duffed before my first ever baby scan to confirm I don't actually have a baby Hmm

MissHobart · 06/04/2014 10:27

*so far removed.

Jetpackplease · 06/04/2014 11:04

Just catching up with events from the last couple of days - this thread moves so fast!

Congratulations omama - hope it all goes smoothly Smile

MissH I'm so, so sorry to hear what you're going through. It's so cruel. I hope the scan tomorrow is not too traumatic and that at least they can tell you for sure what's been going on. I also really hope that you can start getting whatever treatment/tests you want now. Xx

anyhumanheart · 06/04/2014 11:27

Hi everyone, can I join? I've just had my first MC, at 6 + 1, and I had a TFMR (at 17 weeks) last September. I've been TTC#2 since April 2013, and I'm 35. My termination was due to a chromosomal abnormality, so I am assuming that the MC was for the same reason, though of course that might be wrong. Anyway, it's making me feel less awful about the MC to think of it that way. Could I ask you all, how long did you wait after your MC before trying again? And for those who MC'd at about the same stage as me, what sort of medical things did you have to do? Did you need to have any tests done? Did you wait until you had a BFN before trying again, and if so why? Sorry to bother you with all these questions! Just feeling a bit confused, having googled TTC after miscarriage.

Seasides · 06/04/2014 11:28

Argh, I think AF is due soon. I am SO irritable, my poor mum is getting it! I'm trying not to snap, particularly as she's being really good and just trying to help. And my gardening is not going so well Sad there's so much to learn when you start out and so many mistakes to be made! I seem to be making them all.

Seasides · 06/04/2014 11:30

Sorry AHH, cross post. Welcome to our thread, I'll not snap at you either! Mine was ectopic so we had to wait 2 months, but my body was not back to normal for at least another 3 after that. Lots of ladies on here who can give you answers more relevant to your circumstances though - lots of people have started TTC in the WTF cycle, and at least 1 has got a BFP. I think they just prefer you to wait until your first AF to make the next pg easier to date. Sorry you're here, and for your losses Thanks

EnglishGirlAbroad · 06/04/2014 11:37

Congratulations omama, hope its a straight forward, boring pregnancy.
Glad you're feeling better today MissH, look after yourself.

I had a few too many glasses of wine last night - much needed. Did proceed to fall off my bike though on the way home! Bruised knee this morning.

Af seems to have already tailed off. Anyone else have ridiculously short af? Had 1 day heavy, 1 day medium and now not much at all!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 06/04/2014 11:40

cross posts humanheart, sorry for your loss. My body did it all naturally so had no medical intervention, but think everyone is different. And i'm not in England, so things are different any way. We started ttc straight away, felt better to be actively doing something.
Hope you have lots of support in rl. Hugs

sebsmummy1 · 06/04/2014 11:53

English, it sounds as though maybe your oestrogen wasn't high enough to build a thick enough lining which then might explain why you didn't ovulate. I wonder if the supplements you were taking have made you progesterone dominant?

Have you reset your monitor for this new cycle? It will be interesting to see what it says for you this month as it measures your oestrogen and LH. It jumps to high when you oestrogen starts to build and usually the oestrogen line will start to get fainter as the LH surges.

sebsmummy1 · 06/04/2014 11:53

Hi human heart, so sorry for your loss Sad

EnglishGirlAbroad · 06/04/2014 12:02

Hmm... I'm not taking the supplements now so hopefully, this cycle might normalise Confused.
I've reset the monitor. What should a 'high' stick look like??
