Treacle, hope your mil recovers well from her op and can then have her chemo, what a tough time for you allThanks

Poly, hope your mum is also feeling better soonThanks

spinningirl10 · 30/03/2014 09:07

Bella, do you use opk's twice a day? I always do one at midday ish and then one later in the day otherwise I think you can miss it.

spinningirl10 · 30/03/2014 09:09

Notta, I hate those all day hangovers!! Now I'm older I just can't cope with them, seems to take me longer to recoverGrin

7dpo here and no symptoms but bursting to poasGrin

RetroHippy · 30/03/2014 09:17

Zermatt, DH has had it on good authority from someone who knows all the tricks (one testicle and took years to get DD) that it's better to time it right than to just DTD every day in the hope of catching it. So on CD 12 I think we may have missed the early stop on the April bus as I usually ovulate on CD 12 and I think I'm on my 17 day cycle anyway

Not DTD for weeks. We're at MILs for Mother's Day tea today but DH is getting dragonned this evening! Grin (haha, autocorrect tried to change that to dragooned)

Treaclepie19 · 30/03/2014 09:17

Thanks Spinning :) Should be going to visit her today.

Well, cd12 and 4th flashing smiley

PolytheneGirl · 30/03/2014 09:31

Treacle so glad your MIL got through the op ok. Hoping you all get through the chemo ok too.

Kurama bloody NHS. When I was in hospital a few years ago and had awful treatment the doctor actually said to me on a Saturday night "well the NHS only works Monday to Friday". Glad your DM is feeling a bit brighter though.

Well my DH and DS disappeared down stairs to get me a Mother's Day cup of tea an hour and a half ago. I'm still waiting but I can smell bacon!

Happy Mother's Day to you all - this time next year ladies x xThanks

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2014 09:35

bella yes I think it's easy to miss the peak. If I had just done an ic at lunch time each day I'd have missed it. But Fri I did several into the evening and it got darker each time. Then yest morning was dark. Then yest lunch time was feint again. Such a short window!

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2014 09:43

Ladies who temp!

My OPKs showed a peak Fri and yest and my cb digi gave me a smiley yesterday.

However, my temp was 36.2 yest and 36.3 today. I was expecting it to drop today to show ovulation. How long after LH surge do you usually get your temp drop?

RetroHippy · 30/03/2014 10:00

The one cycle I was temping, I got a positive IC OPK the exact same day that my temperature started to rise, so FF put that as my ov day. It didn't really drop again until the day AF arrived.

kurama · 30/03/2014 10:04

day 3 of flashing smileys. getting annoyed now. guarenteed I get the solid smiley on day that we have diff shifts so I dont see dh all day Sad thanks poly yer hosp said this morn that she couldnt get scan today so would be in till at least Tuesday so mum had to point out shes a carer for dp and ds so they are now trying to get the scan done so she can be treated sooner and get back home....

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2014 10:04

Ah I see Retro I though it was supposed to fall, judging by the charts I've seen on Google.

I'm just so delighted as it was CD12 instead of 15/16!

Just hope AF doesn't come earlier. Hoping for a longer LP!

kurama · 30/03/2014 10:06

also im on cd16 of what should be a 29 day cycle...Angry

Starbright24 · 30/03/2014 12:12

missmrs I've been taking temp for about month and a half. Temp goes up day after ovulation. It's been quite noticable.
Yesterday and today having lots of achey pain. Continuous rather than sharp but sometimes more thanothers. Pretty horrible. Felt hot last night and big spike in temp this morning. Way more than before - 37°C. 8dpo and trying not to symptom spot.

lindamagoo · 30/03/2014 12:20

Think I'm going to drive myself insane this week! Af spotting usually starts 5 days before af (today) but no sign so far and even though I know it started 2 days before af for the first time ever last month I'm still getting my hopes up, someone please slap some sense into me Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/03/2014 12:24

Hey ladies! Hope those of you with dc are being spoilt rotten. Hopefully next mother day we'll all be cradling new bundles of joy!

Regarding temping - once you get a peak/positive you generally ovulate 24-36 days later. My temp usually drops the day after peak and then starts to rise.
I've had 3 positive OPKs in the last 3 days... Although now in questioning exactly how dark the last few we're as today's was really dark. And now I also think I've worn poor DH out. He's really not enjoying this TTC DTD. Feels very forced

MrsExtraOrdinary · 30/03/2014 13:35

Linda that sounds like perfectly normal ttc behaviour. So how long before you resist testing? Wink

lindamagoo · 30/03/2014 13:51

Oh I'll be testing in the morning MrsE Smile was going to do it this morning but was up all night with a very poorly ds, never seen him so ill, poor wee man hasn't had a bite to eat since Thu morning Hmm

MrsExtraOrdinary · 30/03/2014 13:55

Oh poor ds, my ds had the dreaded bug 2 wks ago. He was off nursery all week. I hope yours is better soon x

I'll be buying frers for next time. I can't go through that internet strip business again Grin

lindamagoo · 30/03/2014 14:03

I'll be doing the same, the ic's are crap. Think half our nursery was off the past week with the bug, it's a nightmare

MrsExtraOrdinary · 30/03/2014 14:12

I'm sure I come over all funny when I see the "sickness and diarrhoea" plague notice goes up on the nursery front door. It's like a message of doom! Confused it's so frequent as well. Nothing like when my older ones were tiny.

MissMrsMummy · 30/03/2014 14:25

English we are finding it a bit forced too! We've dtd 4 days in a row and I think we need to again today and tomo. Poor DH, I feel like he's going to cry! Fx it's our month and we can have a break from it!

Can't imagine just doing it for fun any more. I see it as an exercise with a purpose and it'd be pointless to do it outside my fertile window!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/03/2014 14:33

I'm not going to tell dh we need to do it tomorrow too, I told him he had a day off!! Hopefully he might actually want to do it tomorrow and I won't feel so bad! The thought of month on end of this is a bit crap. I long for sex that is purely for enjoyment!

In other news, I'm reliving my youth tonight and going to see The Backstreet Boys!! Blush

lindamagoo · 30/03/2014 14:36

Oh yeah it's a ripple of dread that runs through me, if 1 gets ill they all get ill. A local school was completely closed down a few weeks ago because there were so many kids and teachers ill, it's like a bloomin epidemic these days

lindamagoo · 30/03/2014 14:38

Oh my god English I'm so jealous Envy
I saw them years ago, one of the best concerts ever. Hope you have an amazing time x

RetroHippy · 30/03/2014 15:02

English and missmrs, DH and I have decided that this month we'll just DTD when we feel like it. CD 12 and we've not done it once Grin

Last cycle we'd DTD on cd 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 12. Ok, I've been ill, but it's been quite nice to recuperate! I think I'm on a short cycle so we've missed it anyway. My cervix is low and I had EWCM while I was still bleeding. At least the pattern is consistent! And it means it's not long till next cycle as AF is due by next weekend.
