So sorry to hear about your bad news linda, hope you are ok (health-wise at least.)

lindamagoo · 28/03/2014 12:31

Thanks everyone, I'm ok, just a few problems with my baby making machine, lol. Glad I found out now and not months after ttc again x

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 12:33

Hazel I'm not sure about the stabby in the neck business being a symptom, Confused but the rest sounds very positive! Wink

kurama · 28/03/2014 14:57

so sorry linda hope everything goes ok. hazel that does sound positive! fx its gonna be a fun weekend for me. time to try and break dh again Grin

Treaclepie19 · 28/03/2014 16:21

Sorry Linda, hope all is as ok as it can be.

Ugh not a good day today, two babies been announced today by friends. In floods of tears. What is wrong with me???

PolytheneGirl · 28/03/2014 17:29

I'm exactly the same Treacle on Facebook this week I have seen one pg announcement and three birth announcements. I'm seriously considering disconnecting it.

Now I've just got to get through the baby's first birthday tomorrow, then the baby shower and a christening without breaking down in a hormonal heap in front of everyone. I think I'm going need therapy or a bottle of gin

kurama · 28/03/2014 17:58

i want this necklace bad Grin

Starbright24 · 28/03/2014 18:32

Hi all...sorry to see all you ladies who have hopped over from the march bus.
Linda...so sorry for your news.
my body's being a pain. Now I have ewcm. 7 days after +ive opks and temp rise. Bah...will dtd I hope to cover all bases tonight. Any advice?

RetroHippy · 28/03/2014 18:32

Well I'm due to ov this weekend. We are looking after DNiece. All on our own. Just DH and me Confused

BIL and SIL have left meals for DNiece, and two bottles if wine for us grown ups... I'm starving and waiting for DH to get here whilst watching in the night garden

Don't rate our chances of a quickie unless she is an absolute delight all weekend and we're super broody! She is doing well so far though!

linda, I'm so sorry. How shit of them to have left you wondering like that, at least you know now but I'm sure you'd rather it weren't the case. Flowers

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 18:53

Retro you're such a lovely auntie Envy WineThanks

I've opened the gin already, as dhs friends are popping over for what will be the entire evening Sad I find them hard to take without gin. They will bring their Pfbaby girl over, who's not a baby anymore and make me feel shit. I did once have a baby girl, it's just my baby girl is nearly 14. They like to rub it in. And then won't let our little ds anywhere near her. Oh Lord, give me strength not to strangle them all! Confused

PolytheneGirl · 28/03/2014 19:51

On a slightly lighter note, I went shopping with my DM today and found myself stood in Marks and Spencer's with a silly grin on my face looking at the green bed sheets! I think she thinks I've lost it as I just couldn't explain to her what was so funny!

Curse you team Penis Dragon!!

flirty30s · 28/03/2014 20:22

Thanks ladies. So nice having this support. I had two pregnancy announcement and one birth this week too. Gutting. Lol about the green sheets!!

JonesSchool · 28/03/2014 20:43

flirtyso sorry to hear your sad news, it sucks, it's horrible, it's shit!
I had a MC five weeks ago and am back on the ttc band wagon, I find that actually trying again helps!
My advice if it helps is look after yourself, some days are worse than others and seem to hurt far more. Crapy Facebook with its constant bump updates and scan pics is hard work. I also have about three this week.
Today I had the classic "it will be you soon" when someone brought a toddler into work. I coped better than I would have a few weeks ago, felt a little sorry for myself and thought I hope your bloody right.
Big hugs

kurama · 28/03/2014 21:07

hey off topic i know but i could do with some support. my mum went into a+e tonight with an infection/inflamed bowel. and now im panicking as not to long ago dhs nan went into hosp with a ruptured bowel and ended up with septicemia *sp. and then they found out she had cervical cancer. I know theres very little chance the same thing could happen but im worried and my sis is having to look after my little brother. I know i want children but im not sure id be able to look after them both if anything happened to her Sad

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 21:10

Come on ladies, where's your pom poms? Behind those fb posts there's always another background story. And it's not always the perfect picture you imagine. Just remember the reason you want a baby is because you want to share a baby with your dh/dp.

Of recent fb posts regarding baby announcements In the last year I have noticed, 2 couples are now separated. Another has an Uncontented life, another her mum just passed away, only one i slightly envy, except she's had 4 c sections so I'm not that jealous. So that's 1 baby out of about 6.

If I had a magic ball I wish I could fast forward 5 years and tell you all where you'd all be, but don't forget now is important too. You and your dh/dp are just as important as any baby. Wine

JonesSchool · 28/03/2014 21:14

Wise words mrsExtraOrdinary

Thinking of you kurama hope all is ok x

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 21:14

Kurama, I'm sorry, What a worry. I think my mums infallible and go into a complete panic when she's poorly. Hopefully whatever is the problem is easily rectified. I had 4 rounds of bowel surgery myself last year so I completely sympathise.

kurama · 28/03/2014 21:23

shes diabetic and overweight so i always worry when she gets ill. she doesnt help by panicking and making me promise to take care of the kids if something happens. how can i say im ready to care for a baby when i dont think im ready to look after 2 teenagers???

PolytheneGirl · 28/03/2014 21:41

Sorry to hear about your Mum Kurama. I hope she'll be ok. I have a DS (3yo) and I would feel completely thrown in at the deep end with 2 teenagers. It's not the same as having a tiny baby. When you have your baby you honestly kind of grow up, develop and learn together. Please don't panic! Thanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 21:41

Kurma, I really do understand you, as I completely freak out most mornings to find myself with 3 teenagers In the house inc my dss. Babies are farrrrrrr easier, I promise! Wink

I hope your mum is better soon and gets back to being mum to your teenage siblings very quickly. Teenagers are challenge I am yet to master Grin

kurama · 28/03/2014 21:49

thanks poly and mrse that has made me feel better :) im sure she will be better soon time doe Wine and Cake

MissMrsMummy · 28/03/2014 21:59

Sorry for everyone feeling rubbish. We went for a nice drink before and all I could see were signs for 'baby changing' and 'mum and baby coffee morning' plus a woman with a nice bump walking round!

In other news, I have got a positive with my ic opks but interestingly a negative this morning with my cb digi! So glad I'm using both as I could have missed this crucial time!

We dtd, yest and will do tonight. I suppose it'll have to be on the cards again tomorrow as well!

Hope you are all ok x

Treaclepie19 · 28/03/2014 22:31

Ugh sounds like we are all having a shit time.
Thinking of you kurama. DH's mom has been in hospital since yesterday. She has gall bladder cancer which has spread and now a blockage in her stomach and colon. She was meant to be starting chemo again but now there is this blockage she has to have surgery first.

Sorry for the rant, haven't really got anyone to talk to at the mo.

Got back from hospital at 9.30 tonight.

Anyway, wine and chocolate time!

bellaboo88 · 28/03/2014 22:39

:-( lots of poorly mums, sending hugs

Ladies, any ic-opk-ers, I've had faint lines for a three days now, when should I get a positive?

I've always thought I've ov'd on cd19 but now on cd20. Ewcm came on cd15.

Very surprised if I ovulate this late every cycle! Would explain it though, we stop DTD after cd19! Xx

kurama · 28/03/2014 22:51

bella I have faint lines for most of my cycle on ics. I woyld say use the clear blue digital opks! I got a flashing smiley on my dual hormone one today and my ic one had a fainter line than yest!
