Could I please hop on? TTC #2. Currently got first AF post birth so will be trying when she goes! Feeling somewhat nervous for some stupid reason!
Hormones hey!
Good luck to everyone!

RetroHippy · 27/03/2014 22:03

Yo! S'up guys?

RetroHippy, ttc #1, cycle 5, bfp due April 15th (unless AF gets me with another short cycle)

This month I. Am. Not. Obsessing.

But feeling slightly perked up by my totally normal blood test results Grin

flirty30s · 27/03/2014 22:13

After joining this bus I got a BFP, confirmed with doctor, and had a whole week of pregnant bliss, then miscarried at what the doc said would have been 5-6 weeks. Devastated after only knowing my little bean for a week and not sure how other ladies do it who have carried much longer.

Trying to pick myself up, dust myself off and get ready for TTC April! Still bleeding and feeling sad/angry but am ready to try again asap.

I've read lots of stories about ladies ovulating two weeks after miscarriage. But then I also read lots of stories about ladies passing heavy blood and still being pregnant. Sometimes the mind only finds what it wants to read.

Any advice about TTC soon appreciated x

Treaclepie19 · 27/03/2014 22:13

Hi Retro!! Lovely but sad to see you.

Glad you have had some good results. I think i will go to the doctors for some tests in my holiday

Treaclepie19 · 27/03/2014 22:14

Oh no flirty, so sorry to hear that. I can't offer advice but, look after yourself.

PolytheneGirl · 27/03/2014 22:22

So sorry to hear your sad news Flirty. I afraid I can't offer anything helpful but I hope that your cycle gets back to normal quickly and also that you're looking after yourself in the meantime. WineThanks

PolytheneGirl · 27/03/2014 22:41

This might sound like an odd question but does anyone worry they might be dtd too much? It's just I've been thinking, if you "do it" too much do you get quality swimmers?

I may just be trying to make myself feel better about a slight dip in performance this month

Nordicmom · 27/03/2014 23:43

So sorry flirty :(! I've been there many times and sometimes just went back at it the next month other times had to take a break . What did your doctor advice ? Mine said after such an early one I was ok to try as soon as I was ready .
Hug

MissMrsMummy · 28/03/2014 07:13

So sorry to hear that flirty and well done for picking yourself up and carrying on! X

MissMrsMummy · 28/03/2014 07:13

Hi Retro!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 07:56

Great news about the bloods retro! Grin

Just did the maths on when a potential baby would be due if successful this month, precisely Christmas Day, lol! Shock Although I've had them early, late and only my dd on the correct day, so my guess is it'd be new year. Hey ho at least that would mean dh at home for 2 weeks, so for us maybe not such a bad idea?!

I had a good old virtual shop on amazon last night and placed hundred pounds worth of baby making additives in the basket. May revise that slightly before I go at dh with the sperm testing kit! Grin

Metalhead · 28/03/2014 07:56

Flirty I'm sorry for your loss, I'm on my first cycle ttc post-mmc so I can imagine how you feel. Have you been offered a scan to check that the mc is complete? If not it might be worth asking just to put your mind at rest. As for trying again, if your GP hasn't advised against it I think you're fine to try again straight away, but don't be surprised or disheartened if your first cycle is not what it usually is - there is good reason it is known as the WTF cycle!

kurama · 28/03/2014 08:42

so sorry to hear that flirty I hope everything gets back to normal for you soon x
I never thought id be happy to see something as silly as a flashing smiley on opk today. dtd last night and dh days off are today and sun Wink hope everyones feeling ok today Smile

lindamagoo · 28/03/2014 09:10

So it turns out the reason my gp has referred me for an op is not because she presumed I wouldn't want more kids at my age but because health wise she thinks I need it Hmm not advisable for me to conceive again, so I guess I'll have to hope that I don't get my bfp this month, never thought I'd say those words Hmm I won't go into why, can't cope with that but I'll hang around until af gets me and to keep my eye on how you lot are doing xxx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 09:33

Oh flirty I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been where you are and its shit. I would just reiterate what Metal said, expect the unexpected this cycle. Ovulation could happen at any time, some 2 weeks after, some pretty much as soon as bleeding stops, some (me) not at all. Just don't put too much pressure on yourselves. Big hugs

Linda - sorry to hear that, I hope the op goes well and isn't too serious.
Sendin you hugs, Wine and Cake

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 09:43

English there's a cervix question on march thread. Would you mind ever so helping fingers? Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 09:51

MrsE - Done! Glad to be of service Wink

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 10:19

Jolly good! I knew you had to be somewhere, just had to find you, lol Grin

PolytheneGirl · 28/03/2014 10:42

Well I'm just back from the Mothers Day assembly. absolutely did not embarrass DS by crying

I need to get my hormones under control!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 11:00

Positive OPK!! Cervix is up round my armpits and a big old glob of ewcm!! Hop-fucking-ray!!!

Nordicmom · 28/03/2014 11:11

Linda I'm so sorry about your bad news :(! I hope the op goes well. Big hug

victoria401 · 28/03/2014 11:33

Uh oh... Early af pains... Might have to change my stats from April 1st to the end of the month :-(

Nordicmom · 28/03/2014 11:41

Retro congrats on the good blood test results :) .
Flirty if in doubt a scan might be a good idea . I didn't have them every time if an early loss but countless other times yes . They do give a peace of mind that everything is as should be and and you are good to go . One of my miscarriages (9 w) didn't happen naturally and I ended with a D&C months later ...

Hazelbrowneyes · 28/03/2014 11:46

Ooh fab news English! So sorry to all those having a tough time.

I'm now 7dpo, no symptoms and don't feel pregnant.

I've had some weird stuff go on with my body but I don't think any of it could be a pregnancy symptom really.

Nipples are much redder than normal (well they were yesterday, not checked today)
Ache in right nipple
Really, really itchy skin which drove me potty for two days. I wanted to chop my legs off. Today my face is itchy.
I had a funny turn on the plane as we started the descent, genuinely thought I'd need to get medical help the moment we landed. I was fine but felt like I was being stabbed from the neck up. My head was so bad I thought my brain was about to explode.
Extremely hot at night, most unusual for me
I feel a bit more "wet" down there and I've noticed a bit more CM than usual

Hazelbrowneyes · 28/03/2014 11:48

Oh and my nipples are a bit tingly today but I had this last month too Grin

I think the telltale sign for me will be cramps. I tend to get them around 7/8dpo right up until AF arrives. None so far though.
