Thanks ladies. I've just got to get through the next few days and try again, although I think it might be our last month of trying as I'm due a check up for my eye condition in April and if I need treatment again, well let's just say pregnancy and treatment would not mix well. So it will probably mean at least a 4 month break.

Well Im 12dpo and day 5 of flashing smileys so no idea whats going on. Just going to keep DTD as much as possible - at the moment trying for every day. I really really hope this is our month. Zermatt, personally I did. I actually had a more heavy night for me out in the 2ww i fell preggo. I had some months I was better than others if I wasn't doing much...I never went crazy but I didn't refuse. You resent AF so much more if you've put your life on hold. You find out you're preggo so early now with these sensitive tests that I doubt very much that you can do any harm. Of course like everything it is a personal choice, but I wouldn't stress about it if you want a few glasses of wine on a night out!

Hi Ladies! I'm keeping up with all your news despite being kicked off the bus on the 2nd , just need to read back and catch up from yesterday. But while I'm doing that I'm wondering if any of you can help me with a opk question.
I started using the cb advanced ones yesterday - which was cd 11 for me and got a blank circle as expected - last two cycles have been 41 and 43 days (the only 2 since bf). PIAC this morning and dipped my second stick then wandered round to faff about packing for DS swimming lesson. I came back to look at it and I don't think it was more than 8 minutes but the screen was blank, I kinda pulled the stick out a little and pressed back in and got a flashing smiley. Is this a real result (I wouldn't expect one for another couple of weeks based on last couple and was only poas because I like to!) or an error as I fiddled with it?

Ps - so pleased your line is getting darker choccy

Zermatt - yes I drink. Not loads, but I dont deprive myself either. When that bfp comes I'll happily give up! On another note, its 8 days since no caffeine - gave up for lent! Am not missing it at all!! Go me!!

Georgie - I would say that yes that is the real result. Maybe this is the beginning of your cycles settling. But also could be that you'll have a few days of flashing smileys before it settles.

Apart from that, no signs at all. Boobs and tummy completely normal. :( I feel distinctly unpregnant and am already planning a treat for myself when af turns up in 10 days.

Thanks for that everyone. Was beating myself up over 2 glasses of wine I had tonight, met up with a friend and didn't want to talk about the ttc and she wouldn't have bought a kidney infection/antibiotics type spiel, actually was lovely after not having anything for 3 weeks!

I think I'm about 20-23dpo (I seem to OV early - currently on cd 33!) but I've not used OPKs so it's all a bit 'guessed' bought some for next time...which I obviously won't be needing . I'm desperate to POAS, maybe just to stick fingers up at Mother Nature that I got there first just in case AF decides to appear, but I really don't want to see a bfn not that I ever believe them...it's the monthly bleed that convinces me that I'm not upduffed!. Hmph. Determined to wait until at least tomorrow but realistically it would be more sensible to wait until I'm actually late (I.e. Sunday)...am I likely to be able to wait that long? Hmm...

Gah. I am clearly mental. I read online that someone tested with an OPK at 6dpo and got a positive. So I did one! Nothing was coming up in the first few mins so I binned it. Then came back ages after to look out of curiosity and there was a line. Tell me I'm stupid and this is an evap line? But it was pink, not grey!

And now I am reading that you should under no circumstances use an OPK as a hpt. Dr Google is really telling me off
