Another thread for a very chatty bus!!

OP posts:
EnglishGirlAbroad · 09/03/2014 09:56

Yay Barmy! Sounds positive!!! Knew it!! Grin

Treacle - you're not out yet. Get a bit more DTD in!! Remember you don't ovulate the day of the peak, but 24-36 hours later! Get some swimmers in there!!

Missmrs - yes, I think that right.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 09/03/2014 09:58

On another note, do you ever wonder what any one else on this bus looks like in real life?!

katecupoftea · 09/03/2014 10:10

11 pages. 11 PAGES! I hope you are all sitting there feeling proud of yourself. I go out Friday evening and all Saturday and I have 11 FLIPPIN' PAGES to read through!

To sum up though, congrats to those with good news and so sorry for those who have not had a good outcome.

I'm a 'lifer' (on this bus until pretty much the end) but starting OPKs today. BFP/AF seems a world away though.

English I assume everyone looks just like me and lives just like me so I picture people picking up tests from my local boots and I get confused when people say they live in a village.

broodysnoopstie · 09/03/2014 10:15

congrats choccy and barmy so nice to see familiar names get bfps!Grin Grin Grin Grin english I do all the time!

barmybunting · 09/03/2014 10:34

Dh has finally gone out.

And I don't know how, but I'm sitting looking at 4 sticks with bfps on them!!
Two superdrug tests and a poundland one with faint lines, and a cb digi with 'pregnant 1-2' on it. How the hell did that happen?? I had honestly thought we were off for tests soon due to my dodgy cycles. I'm shaking.

I don't even know if I should tell DH today. He has a massive exam on Tuesday which I am scared of distracting him from. I meant to wait until then so I didn't tell him before his exam. No way I'll manage that though!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/03/2014 10:40

Barmy that's official!!! Hooray for a Line of bfps in a row! Fantastic news!! Now go and tell dh before you burst!!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/03/2014 10:44

English I also imagine you are utterly drop dead gorgeous... But everything time i see your posts now, a flash of boobs, goes through my mind! Grin Haha!

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/03/2014 10:48

Just boobs mrs ? After hearing of Englishs job the imagry i get is altogether different!!

Yey barmy how lovely to have a row of bfps!!

Congratulations!!!

kate I have 7 miles to go before i hit a shop that sells sticks to piss on. Probably a good thing.

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/03/2014 10:49

Ooh congrats and good luck choccy

Wineandchoccy · 09/03/2014 10:52

Yeah congratulations barmy

choccy hurry to boots and get dipping!

I've done another superdrug test this morning and there's still 2 lines Grin

We stayed in last night and had pizza and DH had beer and I had cranberry and raspberry to drink very strange to not wake up with a hangover on a Sunday Smile

barmybunting · 09/03/2014 11:23

Thank you Smile. Fingers crossed this one stays sticky! I have never managed to get a digi to show up with 'pregnant' before in the previous 2 cycles though, so I am quietly hopeful that this one may be it.

Brilliant to see another line wine!

Choccy any updates? Fingers crossed!

barmybunting · 09/03/2014 11:37

And because it is one of my favourite parts of the thread - bfp stats from me.

(I am trying to while away time waiting for DH to get home so I can tell him!)

DC1, have been off the pill for 9 months, very irregular cycles since then, ttc for 6 months/cycle 4.

DTD on cd4/9/12/15/17/20/23/25/26/28/32/34/39
Flashing smileys on cd 12(what on earth, as didn't ov then?) and cd 22,23 & 24. Fixed smiley (positive opk) on cd25.

BFPs appeared today, 15dpo/cd40 but I hadn't tested before today so I don't know if it would have shown up earlier.

I tried a few different things this cycle -

  • reflexology on cd1, cd9 and cd27 (after ov). My cycles have been very irregular since coming off the month so I was seeing the reflexologist to help with this.
  • manuka honey every day from cd1 to cd 26 (after ovulation)
  • The old 'naked upside down cycling' on cd23 and cd25 (ov day)

Symptoms:

  • Spotting from 7dpo to 11dpo. Mainly brown, but some red which looked like af starting. No spotting since 11dpo.
  • Breasts swollen and sore from around 7dpo. Nipples constantly erect.
  • Just felt a bit 'funny' since around 10dpo, a bit dizzy and nauseous at points. But I sometimes get this pre af too.
  • Teary and moodier than usual. Put this down to hormones still reacting to coming off the pill.
  • Period usually appears around 12-15dpo, it hadn't today, hence the test.
  • As stupid as it sounds, being unable to sleep properly from about 11dpo which may or may not be linked to bfp. I have been waking up every hour for most of the night, and up at 6am wide awake. This is not normal for me!

Sorry, long post.

nosaint · 09/03/2014 12:05

Congratulations Barmy!!!GrinGrinGrin And thanks for the detailed stats.

Never heard of manuka honey for conception. Is it worth trying? Anyone else take it?

Treaclepie19 · 09/03/2014 12:10

Thanks English, dtd this morning so thats cd9, 10, 11, 13 and 17. Solid smiley today cd17.
TMI alert, used preseed today. Much better haha. I suffer from a lot of vaginal pain during sex so anything to help is appreciated.

Bigggg congrats Barmy!!!

PosyFossilsShoes · 09/03/2014 12:41

I've never heard of the manuka honey either. You do eat it, rather than…. insert it, right? Confused That could get sticky.

LemonDrizzler · 09/03/2014 12:46

Congrats Barmy! Great news! Grin

bellaboo88 · 09/03/2014 12:50

Yeah Manuka was part of the koala plan (from Dec or January bus I think)

You deffo eat it haha...I can't stand honey so its not on my may plan of DTD requirements

X

gennibugs · 09/03/2014 12:55

barmy massive congrats. sooo happy for you

Writerwannabe83 · 09/03/2014 12:55

Congratulations Barmy - absolutely brilliant news!!! Grin
That's a lot of sex you had Grin

barmybunting · 09/03/2014 13:02

Posy that made me laugh! I can only imagine DH's face had I started inserting it with a great big spoon prior to DTD!! Grin You definately eat it, I ate it on toast. I'm not quite sure what it's mean to do but figured it was worth a go as I love honey! I do now have 5 more jars in the kitchen though in case we were in for the long haul!

Writer haha, I was concerned about DH being away for a week over ov time so made sure we took every opportunity! I am slightly embarrassed to say we conceived when my parents were staying though Wink ! They were here for a week so we had to get on with it!

Writerwannabe83 · 09/03/2014 13:04

Maybe there presence was your good luck charm?? Smile

You'll have to remember that if you ever choose to have a second child, you'll have to invite them to come and stay with you again.... Grin

Treaclepie19 · 09/03/2014 13:08

Haha, I hope that isn't what it takes for us. My parents would find it odd to be invited over to stay, they only live 5 miles away!

I know this has been asked before but when does everyone count ov as? Day of fixed smiley? Day after? Day after that?
