Waves to everyone, hope you all have a good start this morning.

wishwash · 06/03/2014 10:19

I'm glad Mr P has stopped being a turd! Don't you just love it when karma kicks them in the face... Although it'll be you that ends up suffering Hmm sorry
Yay for the no needle day, that's super x

moggle · 06/03/2014 10:22

Congrats on being PUPO wish!
MaryP enjoy your day free of stabbing ad good luck for EC tomorrow.

I am somehow managing to stay sane during the 2WW, just about. I am mostly focusing my symptom spotting on my boobs. The morning after I took my (HCG) trigger my nips looked different, and they have not gone back to normal by now, 12 days later... hoping that means I have some HCG being made in my system perhaps... The lovely weather we are having down here is making me super optimistic which is nice but on the other hand a dose of realistic thinking would probably not go amiss.

Just wondering, people who've been through this before, what did you do about early testing? I'm erring on not doing it as all the possible outcomes seem like they're just going to increase my stress levels, but I think the weekend is going to be difficult to get through (saturday will be 7dp5dt).

eurochick · 06/03/2014 10:24

I tested at around 12 dpEC each cycle, moggle, with a sensitive IC. I got a faint line each time.

vallinnapod · 06/03/2014 10:31

I got my BFP in the summer at 5dp5dt....

moggle · 06/03/2014 11:19

val and euro... did you go crazy after getting the early BFP though? (having read a thread on here yesterday about insults relating to mental health I feel I shouldn't say 'crazy'... Did you feel you lost the power of rational thinking?!!).
I'm thinking that if it's BFN I won't fully believe it but then I'll just obsess constantly about it until OTD, and if it's BFP I will go nuts trying to keep myself realistic while my inner monologue shouts "you're pregnant! you're pregnant!" at me and I google pushchairs. (although it may be useful info to know if a BFP turned to a BFN, euro I think I've seen you mention previously that you were keen to know if your body at least tried to do what it was supposed to). I feel I'd like to keep the hope alive as long as possible.
On the other hand, I don't really fancy the thought of going straight into work after a test regardless of the outcome. And I look like absolute shit for a full 12 hours if I have been crying.

vallinnapod · 06/03/2014 12:09

No more so than I had lost already Wink The BFP in the summer I was actually more relaxed about than the BFP with DS (had a lot of early bleeding so REALLY anxious up to around 20 weeks with him). Ironic considering that one ended in a MMC...I am going to be a proper nutjob if I ever get PG again....

I also had weekly scans to keep myself sane. And am glad I did as I found out about the MMC as soon as was possible.

Badhairday76 · 06/03/2014 12:44

Oooh - Mary P - good luck for tomorrow. Moggle - I got my BFP at 6 days past 5 day transfer and it wasn't even with FMU. I was so unbelievably bloated, I was googling about that and most of the severe bloaters seemed to have got BFPs (it can increase due to the HcG entering your system, apparently) so just tested and got my faint line. I didn't even plan to - just did it on a whim! I am terribly impatient though. I had bullet nips from ET which I knew was a good sign, although with my DS I was in agony from having sore boobs, but didn't have that this time, really. I think the best thing to do is probably to wait until OTD, although am useless at taking my own advice. I had 'a feeling' though, which was why I tested. This is my 5th pregnancy though (despite only having one child) so could recognise the symptoms, I suppose. Good luck, Moggle - we are all rooting for you! Xxx

wishwash · 06/03/2014 16:19

moggle I tested early on both of my failed cycles and didn't get a sniff of a BFP so I don't know what the 'crazy' is like apart from the 2ww.
I don't want to test early this time round but it is only 1dpt so I may be feeling differently in a few more days Confused

B4byPlease · 06/03/2014 16:35

moggle it's my test day on Saturday. When's yours? I really want to test early, but so scared! I had such bad cramps today and found that my gel seems to be coming out with a tinge of pink. Not looking hopeful for me if I'm honest. That's the way it's making me feel anyway! Been having lots of night sweats and gotten very spotty recently. Had AF cramps all day today. When is your testing day?

moggle · 06/03/2014 18:53

b4by mine is on Wednesday. You are so close now, good effort!! Which day do your clinic get you to test on, mine will be the 15th day after EC. I haven't really had any particular symptoms but I guess it's still fairly early yet. I've had occasional crampiness since ET but nothing very noticeable or lasting very long. No spotting at all. Am watching like a hawk and weighing myself every morning to see if my OHSS is making a comeback but so far no sign.
I think my laziness may answer the early testing question as I don't have any tests in the house apart from the one the clinic gave me (which is a weird square one I will do on OTD as instructed!), and don't think I'm very likely to go out and buy one. If we happen to go past a Boots or Superdrug at the weekend though all bets are off...

B4byPlease · 06/03/2014 19:35

OTD is Saturday, with the square tests they give out. That will be 10dp5dt. Then I have to do a second test 7 days later. Are you doing the gels? I was told that they can clog and I have to clean them out, so I did it tonight in the shower, before I put a new one in. It was brownish in colour, it's making me really anxious that AF is gonna come soon, as I've been having AF cramping all day! Has anyone else had this who got a BFP?

Bunnygirlie · 06/03/2014 19:47

Yay for PUPOness wish

Fingers crossed for b4by and moggle testing soon!!!

moggle · 06/03/2014 20:04

No b4by I have the progesterone suppositories / pessaries. I know I've read of people who've had cramping all through and still got a BFP. It's so difficult when the progesterone can cause all the same symptoms!

B4byPlease · 06/03/2014 20:14

Sorry, mine is the progesterone suppositories / pessaries too. Do you have to clean yours out or do you just keep topping it up?

wishwash · 06/03/2014 21:07

B4by don't forget the meds themselves can cause pink/brown sludge so don't give up yet. Try and be positive xx

B4byPlease · 06/03/2014 21:19

Thanks wish, really need all the feedback I can right now. DH has been great, but we are both just as gutted as each other. Not gonna test until OTD. Too scared! Lol

moggle · 06/03/2014 22:16

Oh no I've not heard anything about cleaning it out! By the gunk in my knickers it seems my fanjo is doing a pretty good of clearing itself out,... They are only going in there half the time, I'm putting them in the back door in the mornings. TMI!!! Sorry!!!

wishwash · 06/03/2014 22:18

I understand. I'm really scared. It's just hit me that next week I may have the heart breaking disappointment that I have experienced twice already. I keep trying to be positive and tell myself that this time 'could' be different but then my negativity takes over and I just think it's not going to happen.

I think I need to go to bed. DIY SOS made me cry and now I'm in a negative mood. DP is in Bristol so I'm on my tod and the dog is snoring in his bed! I want to sulk

resipsa · 06/03/2014 23:12

Evening all. Finally made it here. It's a bit mad chez Resipsa this week as DH away, DD is unwell and I have to work longer hours than usual (including on my usual non-working today which is tomorrow Angry). Almost got to the point of saying that I didn't have enough time to eat/sleep but then realised how stupid that sounded Wink.

So, Wish, PUPO eh? I always found the first few days OK cause you know that you can't know...

B4by, sorry, no real help from here but it's often quoted that brown is old stuff so probably nothing to worry about.

Wish - I watched Monday's OBEM and then DIY Whatever so was in bits. Those kids in the DIY show. God, I know they edit it to pull at the heart strings...they do it well!

MaryP - glad to read that you're as sympathetic to your DH's ailments as I am in these IVF times Wink. How're you holding up in the 2WW?

I am finally on the road as AF came last night so got scan booked for 17/3 on Day 12 then looking at ET on Day 20(ish) so 25/3. Oh God, in a month I'll know the outcome Shock.
