Fucking phone....

Hold my hand!!!!

tametortie · 23/04/2014 18:20

I remember juicys trip!!!

Didn't she phone the wrong clinic for an update on her embies??!!! I cried and cried with hysterical laughter at that. And when she had a giant poo at the airport and thought she had pushed the embies out???

God, I miss juicy Grin

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 18:44

Cups, it's hard not to count down isn't it?! I think I'll be likely starting at the beginning of may sometime. Does that seem similar to you? I'm doing FET, are you? Or is it a fresh cycle? X

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 23/04/2014 18:54

My AF is due around 3rd or 4th may. I'm doing a fresh cycle but it's short protocol so I guess we could be on a similar timeframe

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 19:11

Ooh cups yes! I hope so Smile

tametortie · 23/04/2014 19:12

Cups- did you do long protocol last time??

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 23/04/2014 20:38

Yay to being cycle buddies Stars Smile

Yep Tame I did long as I've got a fairly good AMH and AFC plus I'm youngish. I got 17 eggs but only ended up with 2 day 3 embies. I'm hoping short gives us better quality eggs.

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 21:59

Woohoo cups. I can be the elderly one in out cycle Wink wish I was still young too... Hmm

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 22:00

Ps cups, as well as the SP what drugs/dose they giving you this time compared to last time? X

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 23/04/2014 22:09

I was on gonal f and buresulin last time, this time I'm menopur and cetrotide. I'm a bit worried that my own eggs are crap so I'm really hoping they do the trick.

Stars at my EC and ET last time I was the oldest by at least 5 years Shock

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 22:30

I did well in menopur! Only had once as main stimm and I got my best quality blastos!! My only ever 1 frozen!! I do think different drugs do different things to our bodies (obviously individual) but I think things will be better for you. What dose they putting you on?! Cetrotide nice too as a ready to inject syringe Smile xxxx

starsandmoonandback · 23/04/2014 22:31

Ps...cups how old/young are you? I'm totally jealous!!! Wink I'm 41....and a half....

resipsa · 24/04/2014 07:14

Hey guys, in order to make you all feel young, I'll be 44 in September (how the hell did that happen?).

OP posts:
starsandmoonandback · 24/04/2014 08:37

Res....Awww we are too old birds Wink

starsandmoonandback · 24/04/2014 08:38

*two even!!!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 24/04/2014 20:17

I'm a spring chicken in comparison at 32 Smile how old were you both when you had your DC1?

I'll be having 225 menopur.

starsandmoonandback · 24/04/2014 21:26

I was 37, almost 38 when I had DS!

tametortie · 24/04/2014 21:47

I'm

tametortie · 24/04/2014 21:50

Bastard phone!!!

I'm 33 and have the oldest eggs here Hmm

Menkulling today. DH is despairing. I feel no different. Scared that the embies didn't actually go in. Also worried that an hour looking in some shops in Solihull earlier has ruined things. I also helped dd lift her rat cage earlier so the embies may be in the bedding.

Help me Sad

starsandmoonandback · 24/04/2014 22:02

Oh take sweetheart. Please try not to drive yourself insane with these thoughts. I know it's almost impossible....but.... Those embies definitely went in...they check on the screen for the fluid to show in your uterus and also check the catheter afterwards to make sure they're not in there anymore. And once when I was worrying like mad someone explained they are like little seeds in a pot of jam. Stuck so tight in their teeny little uterus...they ain't going anywhere!

Ps, I get eggs when stimming, but they aren't much cop as I've had 6 failed Ivf's! I have no immune issues, so surely if it's a numbers game I should have struck lucky again by now? I honestly do not know how DS is here! I am truly grateful for my miracle!

starsandmoonandback · 24/04/2014 22:16

Tame not take Shock

nobeer · 24/04/2014 22:32

taame sweetie! I don't think they can just fall out! Remember Juicy thought hers had popped out when she had a big poo? Do something to distract yourself, and remember the hormones send you a bit mental too.

Big hugs

PS I'm old at 41 Hmm Not sure how that happened, I'm still 25 in my head.

Bearsandhoney · 24/04/2014 23:26

Cups: I can't believe that you were the oldest by 5 years at your last EC/ET if you are only 32... That makes me feel very old!! (I am 40).

Tame: looks like you are driving yourself mad with all these thoughts. It's impossible to switch off but please try. I really believe if they are going to stick, then they will (so don't fret over lifting a hamsters cage!). An embryologist told me that they are hardy little things (which I found comforting). You have such a great chance, don't forget that. Xx

I don't have much news. I'm off to my brothers wedding tomorrow (think they've rushed into it as they have only been together for 18 years Smile) so am looking forward to that. I have had a wardrobe crisis though as I've put on a fair amount of weight in the last year/18 months (so nothing in my wardrobe currently fits) and I am looking rather podgy (well I look pregnant, but its too early if you know what I mean... I have moments where I think: well you are up the duff, and then I have a reality check and realise that I'm not even 7 weeks yet. Waaaay to early for a baby belly!!!). Anyway, I did find a frock, thankfully! Hooray for black (I would have preferred to wear a colour, but simply ran out of time/options).

I am also anxiously counting down the days to the scan on Tuesday and praying that they find a heart beat and what ever else they will be looking for.

No beer: when is your scan?

BTW: I've no intention of joining the dec ante natel thread, as I'm way to nervous/superstitious. So if it's alright with you guys I will hang here for a bit and cheer you guys on. Smile

Waves to everyone. Xx

BeetlingAbout · 25/04/2014 02:06

Bears, nobeer, vall.... I'm making a pregnant after ivf thread in the pregnancy forum. Please join me there.

Egg buddies, I'm keeping your spaces warm and will see you on the other side very soon. X

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 25/04/2014 07:03

Val good luck for OTD! How are you doing?

Tame no way can those embies fall out! I know I had the exact same worries after ET though so I understand x

Bears have a lovely time at the wedding. I sympathise on the weight gain. I'm nearly a stone heavier since starting on the IVF path. I keep trying to lose weight but I'm getting no where. Keeping my fingers crossed for your scan and Nobeer's too.

I was shocked at all the young uns as well, I think it was unusual though as I also go to a support group at my clinic and I'm the youngest there!

We started ttc when I was 27 and I'd been badgering DH for a few years before that as I really wanted to be a "young mum" I don't know why to be honest, I guess because in my family everyone tends to have kids in their early twenties. That said we are in a much better position financially and emotionally now than we were 5 years ago so hopefully it's worked out for the best Smile
