Grin bears! Delighted for you!

And I got a BFP too! I realise it's still early days, but for me this is a massive achievement to get this far. It must be my opened chakras and the retrograde in the planets in March which did it Grin

starsandmoonandback · 10/04/2014 14:41

Nobeer, fab news for you too Grin it MUST be those chakras and wotnot Wink hope mine are open when I do my FET GrinSmileGrin

Beetle, how are you hun? X

Yay!!!

What fab news Nobeer and bear!!!

I love a happy ending Grin

Turquoisetamborine · 10/04/2014 17:29

Coming out of lurking to say congrats to Bears and Nobeer!! That's fab.

How many cycles has it taken you both?

We are trying naturally until July then I'm going to book us to start that three cycles package. Will keep an eye open for you all and fingers crossed xx

Turquoisetamborine · 10/04/2014 17:40

Who is actually left now without a BFP? Where are you upto Tame?

Bearsandhoney · 10/04/2014 19:37

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. I have done another test (still a BFP...Smile) and am trying to keep my excitement in check. I am praying that this one sticks.

No beer: what an amazing day for both of us. I am thrilled for you and delighted that we have had our BFP on the same day.

Turq: this was our 4th cycle (5 if you count an aborted FET pre Christmas where I down regged, but as my lining didn't get thick enough the transfer was cancelled). This time we had PGS done on all our frozen and fresh blastosist's (8 in total) of which only 1 was deemed chromosomely normal Blush. This is on top of some mild treatment for border line immune issues (which my consultant doesn't believe in ?) and the scratch, not to mention the fact that I rattle when I walk with all the vitamins and supplements that i take. Not sure what really made the difference this time other than the PGS, but still find it hard to believe that all 5 of the previous blast's we have had transferred haven't been viable. At the end of the day, for as much as they do know, it's scary what they don't...

Waves to all the lovely egg buddies. I hope the good news continues and there's a roll of BFP to come. Xx

vallinnapod · 10/04/2014 19:44

Me Turq Hmm Finding out tomorrow if we are all go for transfer or abandoning this cycle.

starsandmoonandback · 10/04/2014 20:03

Good news bears Grin

Val, fingers crossed it's all go for you.

I'm still up for a bfp too Hmm

tametortie · 10/04/2014 20:52

I have been on the conception boards since 2005 Hmm no sign I'm leaving yet....

I have a scan at 8am tomorrow to measure my womb lining. Dreading it- waiting for something to go wrong and this could be it.

Val- fingers crossed xxxxx

vallinnapod · 10/04/2014 21:27

Tame Blush but I can't remember what stage you are at. How long have you been on the oestrogen?

Turquoisetamborine · 10/04/2014 21:30

Val Stars and Tame I'm hoping for you all. You all deserve this.

Bearsandhoney · 10/04/2014 21:39

Tame, that is a long time... I hope tomorrow's scan goes well. X

tametortie · 10/04/2014 21:44

I'm on day 10 of estradiol. Transfer due on 22nd if I don't fuck it up!! Grin

This is our 9th year of ttc. 4 icsi cycles including a cycle with no fertilisation, 2 no transfers and a mc.

The whole thing has been a pissing disaster if I'm honest. Hmm I even egg shared shit eggs (didn't know they were shit) and the poor recipient got no fertilisation either. So have done a pretty good job of blighting others too Smile hope that poor woman has a baby now..... Blush

tametortie · 10/04/2014 21:46

We will all graduate at some point.

My main ishoo is whether I graduate with a baby or just graduate because I want to get on with my life Smile

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 10/04/2014 21:55

Nobeer I'm bloody chuffed for you! What a great day for the egg buddies Smile

I'm still waiting for my BFP too Confused I'm 5 years in to this hideous journey. I can't believe it's been that long...

Tame I bow down to your 9 years Shock

Right I demand BFPs all round for the egg buddies.

Val I'm still keeping everything crossed for you x

nobeer · 10/04/2014 22:45

Thank you all so so much. All your lovely words mean so much to me.

I feel very fortunate that this was only our 2nd cycle. I absolutely believe that I did the right thing pushing for the immunology tests (I don't care if it's maybe placebo effect!), and I'm glad we had the embryos tested for chromosonal abnormalities. I think it really boosted my chances. Me and DP have been officially TTC for 2.5 years, but only used condoms about 3 times ever Blush so unofficially 4 years. I always had a niggling feeling deep down that conceiving would never come easily to me, so feel very relieved about my BFP.

You're a wonderful bunch of women, my egg buddies. I hope we can all be embryo and foetus buddies soon too. You all deserve a bloody great BFP. Thank you all for the hand holding, support, recipes and a bloody good laugh when we've needed it!

I'll still be hanging around here for a while. I'll probably have a few questions and worries yet!

resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:07

I chose a good day to return from being AWOL.

Nobeer and Bears - bloody fantastic. Good for you both. You see, all you detractors out there (admittedly unlikely to be on this thread), this IVF stuff bloody well works!!!

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:10

Tame - you and me both - gotta get out of here but will it be without or without the babe in arms?

And, would you believe it, if my cycle goes OK, I'll probably be on for ET on 22/4 too!

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:12

Oh Turq, I'm still waiting too. Got the BFP in Dec but we know what happened next. Not feeling optimistic this time with the problems of March still lingering but you just keep on going with this stuff (as it becomes your life).

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:17

Tame and Val - will be thinking of you and your scans tomorrow. When I used to read about cancellation of cycles, I'd think 'what's the big deal, just do it next month' but since it happened to me; yowsers, the despondency it creates is a stark reminder of how much we invest in a cycle and live our lives for its end point.

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:23

Beetle - I was too wrapped up I myself to read/post over the last fortnight and am sorry not to have offered any kind words when your 'would have been' date arrived. So pleased for you though that you got through it whilst expecting again. Hope all is well.

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:24

For 'I' read 'in' in the last post.

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:26

By the way, Viagra is probably responsible for this burst of posting. I too am on it to thicken the old lining. It makes me feel like I am having a heart attack and I need distraction.

OP posts:
resipsa · 10/04/2014 23:33

Cups - God, our bloody bodies, eh? Such a shame a late AF causes a delay for you. Are you at Care now? They do FETs on CDs 17 - 21 which fall for me over Easter too but I've been told not to worry as they are open throughout...
