I can sympathise with the difficulties of a lack of direction too, being an all off kind of girl, hence the need for a close fit to avoid the sprinkler effect!

I'm imagining lots of women reading this and eyeing up the yogurt pots during their weekly shop, trying to choose the one that would be the best fit for their bits! I'll blush if I see anyone looking studiously at the yogurts when I go shopping this weekend.

katecupoftea · 05/03/2014 12:28

I have a square, deep lunchbox (since hijacking it for piac purpose it's sandwich holding destiny has been ruined) because it has a lid. My eventual plan with the lid is I can put fmu in the fridge if I want to test in the evening.

Sometimes I just like to leave it on the side though to disgust my husband.

Owlie84 · 05/03/2014 12:33

MissMrs I wrap it in a tissue and put it in my cardigan pocket. Do the business, rinse it, then wrap it in a new tissue and put it in the bin! I work in a small office and my desk is near the loo :)

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 12:33

Haha cine luckily I shop online so nobody will know my potty secret!

Oh that was a good pun! Works on so many levels - loopy, yogurt potty, toilet potty...

Like your box-with-lid plan kate!

Hazelbrowneyes · 05/03/2014 12:33

I'll have a scout around at home to see if I have a suitable jar otherwise I'll go down the plastic cup route.

I can just imagine DH saying "Ugh" if I try to put a jar that's held my wee in the washing up bowl Grin Never mind that we deal with chicken shit on a daily basis, human wee is far worse Hmm

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 12:34

You've got it down to a fine art, owlie obvisouly experienced in the field!

bellaboo88 · 05/03/2014 12:34

I use a herb pot....the Morrison's 25p mixed herb ones...really good size for between legs but I think its impossible to do it neatly!!

Reeeaally want to test but I'm holding out. Cd29/10dpo. Really wish I had some ICC's must not go back to ic poas addiction

X

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 12:36

Owlie I dare you to walk to the toilets with it in full view next time! People might just think you are going to get a drink. Nobody would think you were bold enough to walk in with a cup, fully intending to pee in it! Grin

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 12:38

Bella I dare you to write an online review of the herb pot saying how useful it is Grin

Don't know where all these dares are coming from! I'm a wimp irl and trying to live vicariously through you lot! Lol

MrBsMrsB · 05/03/2014 12:45

katecupoftea I do pretty much the same,
piac, use a single square of tissue on top as a "lid" and leave it next to the toilet brush till it cools down.
I'm glad I can speak of this madness with people who will not judge me. Before ttc, if a lady recapped to me what I do/consume/think, I'd move away from her very slowly and avoid any further conversation.

Wineandchoccy · 05/03/2014 12:54

I use party cups from pound land/world as well, I keep them in the towel cupboard Smile

My friend who is a college tutor uses a collapsible cup from a camping shop so she can hide it in her pocket at work!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/03/2014 12:54

I have an old plastic kids glass that i use. Lives in bathroom cupboard. its pink. My pink pee pot! Ha! I'm also in the 'no hair down there' club and my cup is perfect size. No spraying!! haha!

Cineraria · 05/03/2014 12:55

Yes, it's always nice to know others are doing the same as you, especially the sneaky walk to the loo with all the equipment. You're all doing better than me, though. Last month I dropped my OPK packet in the corridor on the way to the loo and going back to look for it, I bumped into a colleague who is an endocrinologist and therefore would have known exactly what I was doing with a small packet saying leutenising hormone test strip on it, so I had to just walk past and pretend it wasn't mine.

SaRaRaRaRa · 05/03/2014 12:59

Ha ha this conversation is brilliant Grin I always piac - the receptacles of choice are usually a shot glass (for sole purpose of peeing, not used for drinks!) but I have been known to use a deodorant lid when I didn't have a cup to hand.

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 13:02

I was hoping to log on and see some more BFPs this morning but you all discussing PIAC issues has out a smile on my face!!! Smile

I just got back from seeing my MW - she predicts an arrival within the next 10 days!! Eek!! so exciting!! Smile

gennibugs · 05/03/2014 13:04

I cant stop laughing at these comments.

I use plastic disposable cups from the poundshop but I ALWAYS wondered what others did and if I was a bit strange buying cups especially.

I find it impossible to aim straight and actually POAS, i dont know why but I have to PIAC.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/03/2014 13:13

Writer that's ever so exciting! Are you all sorted and ready for the off? Clearly that's 10 days of massages, pedicures and rest in preparation! Wink

Cineraria · 05/03/2014 13:15

I've been a bit strapped for cash since our wedding earlier this year. I was commenting on it to DH and he replied "It can't be that bad. There's no way you can tell me you don't have a pot to pee in because I've seen them stacked up in the bathroom!"

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 13:21

We aren't 100% ready as I'm not technically 'due' for over another 3 weeks. today's appointment has spurred me into acti0on though and this afternoon I plan to do all the washing of baby's clothes and bedding. My MW also thinks baby is even bigger than what the scans are suggesting Shock She gave my bump a good feel and said she's not surprised I'm swearing/nearly in tears whenever baby moves - he's just SO cramped in there and my rib cage is taking the brunt. I've got another appointment with her in 2 weeks but she's pretty convinced baby will be here before then Smile

I have always wondered if I was a little bit further along then they thought as when I tested with a CB Digi, which was on the day my period was due, it said I was already 2-3 weeks pregnant.

gennibugs · 05/03/2014 13:25

writer that is so exciting Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/03/2014 13:25

Wow writer! How exciting!! Albeit a little scary!! And sounds like you have a little bruiser in there! Keep us posted and pop a pic up when he's here!! Smile

CagedMango · 05/03/2014 13:28

Hazel I've got hens too and also a fox problem. I was told that my husband's wee would deter the fox so I've had him pee in a bottle while I've been piac! Luckily he isn't disgusted by it all (he refused to "water" the garden directly). I just use a plastic cup that I rinse and leave to drain in the bathroom-DH has never commented but I'm sure he knows what it is as I've left it full on the side before!

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 13:29

Hehe this conversation is so funny! I use a hair mousse lid. Or if at work the water cooler cups - have had the odd strange look at me putting them in my handbag!

Exciting writer! Hope the last few days go well and you aren't uncomfortable. X

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 13:34

I'm hoping he will come on the 16th as that date will also be mine and DH's first Wedding Anniversary Smile It would be lovely!!

When his current weight was calculated based on his scan last week he was just below 7lbs Smile The MW had to go and check my previous scan reports because of how big his measurements were coming out at, but she soon realised he was just a 'generously sized' boy. Between the time scale of my last two scans he has put on over 2lbs in 3 weeks. He is above the 100th percentile line on his growth chart now Smile My MW said even if I didn't have my health concerns they'd be questioning whether I'd need a CS anyway because of how big he is getting, lol Grin

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 14:10

Just had my blood taken and guess what was on the radio? Ace of base "all that she wants is another baby"! Haha. Ironic or cruel - we'll see!
